Looking at a stg 2 cam setup that's .639/.639 lift and 223/235 duration. I'm doing dual springs, pushrods, trunnions, lifters and dod delete. it's a 6th Gen Camaro. Only thing im concered about is if it will be ok with my stock valves and secondly do I need to do any head work or does that not matter?

Now you have me concerned. I am currently FBO. But over the winter im doing the full GPI SS2 cam kit. I'm planning on doing everything but replacing the valves. I don't plan on cranking my rpm over 6800. Do you think it'll be ok?

Bro do you do those take overs kinda sound likes you abused that motor and caused it to over heat stock valves can handle heat but careless heat can cause this like constant burn outs and ripping donut back to back to back to back to back not giving the car a break. Cars are not meant to highly revved to the moon for long periods of time no car can handle that eventually catastrophic failure will occur don’t get me wrong cool channel but stupid games yield stupid prizes. Curious what u were doing when this happened I’m sure it was not a dig race. I’m almost positive it wa abusing the engine.
