I think Downes would struggle to get in if we sign Garcia and Fofana. I think he would be better to sign for Southampton, if he's that good, chances are we may resign him later on. A season on the bench for us or a season playing for Southampton in PL seems a no brainer.

Flying Downs would be a great squad player, but would he get many starts? Also would he stop the development of Freddy Potts? So it's down to money for me. If we get £20M then sell, if only offered £10M then no, and keep him.

Why don't players aged 17 / 18 get a chance any more ? We've had regular first team players at that age before , now Potts , at 22 , is deemed too young ? Maybe we need to reinstate the old Football Combination, where youngsters got experience playing against older players ? It seems the gap from u21 to first team is way too big ? Something is not right with the path for development

Great interview, Holly, very insightful. It reinforced my opinion that it's a very high bar in a court of law to prove beyond a reasonable doubt, despite the clips, where coincidental doesn't cut it, let us see the outcome. In the meantime, Paqueta plays for the Irons.

if you look at Paquetas' form for getting booked, surely there's going to be bookings either side of the 4 bookings in question,For example you can't have a much stupider booking than the one he got in the 1st leg against leverkusen? There are loads of players in the prem who are always in peoples bet builder for being booked

I’ve watched Bruno’s highlights reel and I agree with Tim. Bruno’s very good at knocking the ball out of play but little evidence of winning the ball and then passing it forward to start an attack.
