Why not pull the cassette out to access the fuse?

First time I have seen a video that actually talks sense without waffle and bs thanks. Now to attack the problem

Thanks for the video. I have a 2007 hymer caravan that's had this conversion done but has left the original pump in place. What's the power consumption compared with the original Reich? I've also had the shower mixer (reich) fail as it seems to have blown a seam on it. Going to look at turning the pressure down a bit too as the toilet flush is now so fierce the water ends up out of the bowl.

Hi a have a dometic ct4000 when a press the flush motor runs but no water comes into the bowl can you advise please

I didn’t touch the standard wiring just in case i need to revert back to it. It will then also be simple to pop the original pump back in if the new one ever fails.

You can put in at Glasbury on the down river side, up river you're technically not allowed to put in but you just need to walk under the bridge & you're good to go. I confirmed this at the canoe hire company at Glasbury & actually put in on the down side of the bridge with no problems. Its all about the council having to do an environmental impact study on the up river side, the other down river side of the bridge isn't anything to do with them so no restrictions. It's very pretty on this section but the river really meanders & can be shallow in places requiring you to haul over the shingles in lower water conditions not a major problem but can slow you down, I underestimated my timings & the distance to bycross campsite & only just made it before dark absolutely knackered. Probably best to split this section in two especially if you're inexperienced &/or using an inflatable as they're slower than solid kayaks. If the river has decent flow you might be ok to do the whole stretch but it's much more enjoyable to take your time & take in the scenery & wildlife.

no it effing isnt as the effing d1ckheads at Citroen used a crosshead screw which ALWAYS chews up so you waste effing hours.

It might sound a bit basic but reading the manual would have helped you as it shows the winter drain down and reset in the Habitation handbook but the dealer should have showed the location of the drain down/ frost valve and checked it was closed on handover.

O replace the fuse it's easier to take the cassette out...

My pump does not run all the time just every four or five minutes for about four / five seconds, would this procedure solve my problem ? I thought it was the non return valve where I had a problem ?

Wish I’d watched this before taking the Nuevo out for the first time. Same issue but eventually worked it out. Handover video from the dealer was next to useless!

Useful info. BTW it’s really easy to reach the fuse with the waste tank out. I’m not 100% sure but it might need a 5amp fuse. Other Thetford toilets do. That might be the reason it blew.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised to find that the required settings are different 12 to 240v. Certainly that appeared to be the case in my last few vans.

Would a whale IC system have the pressure switch? Got the same problem on my parents caravan but the IC system is different to this

My toilet has the exact same issues, blowing fuses just happened this year, I think I forgot to drain it down last year, I've had a look inside and it's a black mess, so I've flushed it out a few times, put some Milton in, I'll let that dissolve the rest of the algae, before I attempt to remove the pump, but thanks for the video, I'm pretty sure this is the problem :)

Good video thanks! I changed the fuse first but managed to blow it again without realizing whilst clearing the pump so if it doesn't work, try a fuse check after everything's done. One happy father in law!

Certainly, it is a design flaw from the manufacturer. Sits too low, in my opinion. That design would be more suited to the 4x4 version, which is considerably higher and wouldn't present a problem in normal use.

It sounds for me as a malfunction design from the Hymer to place this Tank in such a lower position. I am wondering if there is a possibility to replace this tank on the opposite side of the diesel tank, and in this case the vehicle will be more balanced and have a better clearance in the back. Good work and hopefully you will never have such damage another time. Thank you for sharing this video with us

Wish i had seen this video today just had the same problem after filling water tank from the winter drain down. Pump would not stop running no water coming from the taps . All sorted now it was due to me filling tank and opening all taps so pump did not build up any pressure . Since learned should prime the water system by just opening the hot kitchen tap pump then builds up pressure quickly and when you turn off kitchen tap pump should stop without any adjustment to the pressure switch.
