Good morning fellow worm farmer from Jesus and me! Just a suggestion about your quandry if you can just put the "living material starter colony" into the box instead of the bags you have been using . . . why not put some into a box just like you would ship it and set it aside for a few days and then open it and see how everything is doing inside ? My thinking is that they might just dry out too much but who knows . . . maybe they won't. You will not know until you try it. Better to try it out there than ship to a customer and have it arrive in a very unsatisfactory condition. If you decide to try it, I'd like to know if my idea was of any help to you at all. Thank you ever so very much for all that you teach us by sharing your experiences - the good, the bad and the ugly ! I'm most appreciative of all the time you both put into doing these videos for all of us.

Those castings look fabulous, well done! Isn't it strange when you find something spoiled how you feel bummed and frustrated you didnt get to it. But then you think, "my worms will love this!" DO they eat a lot? How do they respire with gills, if they are not in water? Do they make compost or fertilizer for plants, like a chicken, or red worm? I always wanted to try cray fish. You put castings in same the wheat grinder that's cool. Anyway...

Hi, do you think adding biochar to food scraps or the soil is of any benefit for the worms ?

How do you gradually dry the castings out to be able to sift them? Do you know how dry the castings can be for the worms to live in order to sift them? How do you sift them? I know you always end up hunting and pecking. Have a nice weekend (I work, garump!)

Hello! I'm a new sub and really find your videos helpful. I started by following the guidelines from the website I bought my worm factory from. However, I am having several issues. I'm dealing with correcting pH, bedding, and moisture. Again, your videos are very helpful. My question is, where can I buy the ingredients you use for your worm chow? My red worms are super skiny.

Hey Vee! Hehe he's just enjoying Summer as he should. My tarantulas are the same, they're going crazy over high T°, doing 'gardening' and giving a bit more attitude than usual. 😅 And they're a lot hungrier, too! Probably the same with Radu & friends. ;) Cheers from 🇨🇭! -Thomas

Getting a heat mat that can set the temperature is good because I bought one that only does one temperature it can get to hot and dry up the bins quickly if u don’t check often 🇳🇿🪱
