I would add to the reasons why this cracks is possible moisture intrusion from the topside (roof) due to a poorly maintained flat roof coating. From my limited understanding of AZ flat roofs, elastomer coatings should be reapplied every 2-3 years. In reality, most folks aren't even doing it every 5-6 years and then comes monsoon season and they wonder why it's leaking...

I'm honestly confused. Why are you patching up an access hole so permanently if you're going to need access there at some point? I have an access hole I need to patch, which is what brought me here. I don't know what to do.

I had a plumber cut in a L-shaped cut out to install a water valve box in the kitchen. There’s also a small gap around the edges of the box he installed. I’ve never done this type of work (minus fixing tiny amount spackle for tiny holes in walls). Conceptually, I understand this video and the steps. But for my project, I have no idea where to begin. Can you help me?

I have a question so when I bought my home I had damage in the same area fast forward 2 years just this month I’ve notice water damage to my baseboards and flooding in next room which is behind tub wall , can that be happening because I’ve never fixed this first issue?

Wish I could find out which Kilz for drywall patch on a bathroom ceiling. I had to cut drywall when installing a ceiling fan. The ceiling has no texture....just smooth finish. There's different Kilz primer, which one exactly would you recommend?

I figure out a jigsaw puzzle around the piping so that the openings are at the edge of board. The trick is making sure you are spanning framing on both sides, or cut backing pieces of 1x2 or 1x3. I'm not a professional though... probably would be better to turn off the water, do this, reattach any angle stops, and then turn the water back on.

Thank God my minor repairs are going to be a little easier, I think, because basically there IS no texture on my (built 2019) house, it's a consistent "sandpaper"-like texture. I went to Home Depot yesterday and got some color-matched stucco. But, there is one (way more) minor corner repair I need to do, so, what I think I'll do is get the patch material as shown, and then do a coat over it with the color matched stucco. But, after putting it on with the spatula, instead of a sponge, I think I'll get a stiff brush, and use a spray bottle filled with water and light brushing to expose the grit since there's no actual "texture". I'll post up if it works well. Nice informative vid, thanks!

I’d highly recommend a Makita drywall cutter. It’s fast and barely cuts past drywall and you can hook to a dust extractor. I couldn’t help but feel anxiety watching you stick that sawzall through the ceiling like that.

After long thought, I decided to just go with adding wallpaper to make dues😂 I live in a apartment and I rather save the hard work for my home! Nonetheless, this video was short and sweet!

Once it’s dry you need to check for mold….it’s that 4 letter word that could be a big problem
