We aren’t big tea drinkers ourselves and don’t recall there being any specific places to get tea from on the sky. However, I’m sure you can ask for tea in the dining areas, although it may just be a basic cup of tea. Sorry we don’t have a more helpful response to your question. We hope that you have an amazing time in the Caribbean though!

I would say be prepared for an uphill hike for around a mile or so. It wasn’t terribly hard and they took several breaks for everyone along the way. There were people probably in their 50s- early 60s doing this hike with us.

We booked it thought the Norwegian cruise line that we were on. It was one of the available excursions. The title of this video is what the excursion was called. 😁 Hope that helps!

There was a little bit of shopping, but not a ton if I remember correctly. I know they had a jewelry shop, an art gallery, and a small gift shop/duty free store.

We loved Maho beach! Seeing the airplanes was awesome and we would highly recommend going there if you have time! Definitely bring your bathing suit as the water was so nice!

Honestly, I was at first, but it got much easier to be around them the longer we were there.

Yep. A good rinse AND a little bit of soap for a quick wash! I always travel with a little container with some dish soap to wash my water bottle and a few drops of DAWN work great on any clothes you want to wash.

Hey there, there were only 2 or 3 jumps total I believe and they had slide options or steps available as well if you didn’t want to jump. I chose to jump only the one time and took the natural rock slides the other times. They also have you wearing life vests so I don’t think swimming is incredibly important as you mostly just float and kick your legs a little bit. However, for safety I would always recommend you know how to swim anytime you get in the water. I’m not the best swimmer but can manage in short excursions like this just fine, especially if I have on a life vest. 😁 I hope this helps.

We actually didn’t mind paying the fee. The daily gratuities fee covers gratuities for everyone employee on the ship including your dining staff, housekeepers, general cleaning crew, employees that work in laundry, etc. so really that free goes a long way to help make sure you have a good experience. Thats our thought at least.

Hey there! I’d suggest watching our stateroom confessionals video for more details about our experience on the sky! We talked in much more detail about the cruise overall in that video, giving some tips and tricks as well as stating our favorite/least favorite excursions, etc. We did do multiple excursions though, only spending one day in Puerto Rico where we didn’t do an excursion. We chose to just walk around that city ourselves and don’t regret that decision at all as it’s very accessible by foot and we really enjoyed our time there. As for teenagers being on that cruise, I can’t say that we saw many…however we were also cruising during the school year so there weren’t many kids in general on the ship. Lastly, for the dining I can’t really say that there were signs stating they weren’t complimentary, but you could tell as they asked us if we wanted to make reservations in any of the specialty dining restaurants, which has a cost associated just like booking an excursion. Woohoo!@@theturneradventures What line, ship, and date? (I promise I am not a stalker.) I will be on a NYE Cruise on NCL Encore and a transatlantic on NCL Joy over Valentine's Day. They have some aMAZing rates, btw. I am not a travel agent. But, they have some dirt-cheap rates for this sailing which is the first after they come out of dry dock with a bunch of refurbishments. I guess I took the time to comment on your videos because I watch a ton of cruising-related videos here and when I saw how new/fresh your channel is, I was shocked. The production value and the friendly banter and the relevant details you share made me think you were a much more experienced pair of sailors. Keep it going and remember: happiness comes in waves. =)

Both my husband and I enjoyed the buffet quite a bit. There were only a few occasions that we didn’t like a dish in the buffet, but overall we ate there every day and didn’t have any major issues with the food. 😁

We are planning to try out a large cruise ship early next year as well to see the difference, but I have a feeling we may prefer the smaller ships too. We also don’t have kids and don’t love large crowds, so we will see what we think of the large ship experience.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate that. 😁 They had several live musicians throughout the cruise at the bars and by the pool. They also had a comedian and a production crew that did a few shows as well in the theater area. There was no lack of entertainment in our opinions.

So if you pay for the drink package then yes, for the most part they are free. We did find that while we were at sea the drinks were free, however we also noticed that we it we got a drink while at port a port fee or tax would appear on our bill. We were told that was due to the port taxes we had to pay while in the port. However, the only drinks that we truly paid for while on board were the specialty mojitos or mojito flights at the mojito bar and Starbucks drinks.

Check out our stateroom confessionals video for more details for which excursions we loved and didn’t like as much, but overall we definitely recommend doing some snorkeling, getting on a catamaran if possible, and anything with animals! We haven’t been to any of the locations you mentioned yet though so I’m not sure what specific excursions to recommend. I hope that is helpful!

They had a comedian that we unfortunately never saw, but the shows that we did see were rock you tonight, and a production called showdown.

Oh interesting. We didn’t have this problem at all while we were on board, but I also didn’t really see many people jogging while we were on board either. Thanks for the helpful hint!

We booked them through NCL. However we also had two days where we had extra time in the port in addition to the excursions so we did our own thing with the extra time, and one of the ports we chose to just walk around instead of doing an excursion.

Where are you going and when is your cruise? We found that since we went in January/February there weren’t many kids on the cruise since that was when they would be in school.

Hey there! The free at sea is included and we did not pay for a sail away guarantee. We let the ship pick our cabin to save money. This way they guarantee the type of room you payed for, but they pick the location of the stateroom on the ship. 😁

Washing the swimsuit is a great idea! We we will definitely keep that in mind for our next cruise!

Oh definitely do your research. We had watched a ton of CZcams videos and talked to several of our friends that had gone on cruises to seek advice. We felt like although many of our questions were answered, some of the things we just had to experience ourselves to see if we would like cruising or not. It turns out that we love it!

Yeah if you do Virgin Gorda just take a ferry and bus there then you have some hours to explore on your own. The ferry/bus was included together and we booked once we got off the boat.

Right!!! That’s a pet peeve of mine when people call it a boat….definitely not a boat.

I'm sorry that you had a bad experience. We really enjoyed our time on the Sky and although it is definitely a small ship, we didn't find the dining areas to be too small or the staff to be unorganized at all.

We wish we had another day to make it to some of the places we didn’t make it to, like common grounds and the magnolia table. There are definitely a lot of unique places to visit in Waco for sure.
