I did my update with a Sandisk 128gb! It does not have to be CF express!

You should be able to load in the most recent firmware update without previous versions!

I have the same version, and the camera does not see the software on the card. What to do? 😢

I read somewhere I think on the Sony site you have to update a couple of versions to get to 5.0 I’m still on 2.1?

Interesting, maybe you could try re-installing 5.0 on your current camera. Is the battery that you're using a Sony battery or off brand?

The A6700 is still a beat man! Such a powerful camera in a small camera.

The shutter angle update isn’t out quiet yet. It should be very soon though!

I don’t really miss the colors from my r6, I can get the same image out of both. It’s just a matter of which was is easier! My skin tone here is because of how bright my key light is and this is just rec709 Lut.

@@jaymills1720 I would say consider the Canon R7. It is a crop sensor, still takes great photos, unlimited recording, (well 6 hours) 🤣 10bit -4:2:2. They just released some RF sigma glass that would pair well and be affordable. And you would get those canon colors you want but some video features that Sony does! We have one and it works great!

sony zv-e1 would be the best bang for your buck with no dual card slot and the occasional overheating but essentially same video quality as the fx3 😎

I actually still use a V30 Card. Its a 128GB- 200Mb/s. I only ever really shoot 4K 30 or 4K 24 for video!! Those v90 cards are expensive! I will eventually get two for dual recording!

@@LouisLuzuka Yes, I have seen the video my friend! The way he puts it, he talks about the FX3 as an old camera. His first sentence is "Why did I buy an FX3 in 2024? . The mere fact of asking this question makes the issue clear.. .And for the record, I don't want to criticize for the sake of criticizing; I just find the topic interesting. It seems that if you don't have the latest technology, you will not be able to do a good job! If you have for example a dji RS3, do you really need to upgrade to the RS4?

@@miravisualagency very valid points, and you’re right he is a bit baity with his approach. But he did mention he wanted it for over a year and finally pulled the trigger so maybe he meant to say why it took me so long to pull the trigger. At the end of the day, it’s a tool and if it makes you inspired and happy to shoot then it doesn’t matter what year it came out. I’m still shooting on an eos m and I still enjoy life 😊 what are you shooting on these days? As for the rs4 vs rs3 if you need the specific details and upgrading will make a difference then why not get that one feature like the focus puller thing or the vertical shooting feature, but for most people if you have to ask if you should upgrade the answer is no! I think it highlights a sense of relief that, he wanted it then waited then finally took the leap. Who knows if he would have enjoyed it if he got it 3 years earlier but he is enjoying it now which is what matters most. And sharing his joy with the world. Although cameras change so much, 3 years isn’t enough to justify it being old news it’s still very much in the conversation, heck even the fx30 is newer but it’s a apsc version and I’d argue unless u need that crop sensor for reach the “older” fx3 would give you a better look with the full frame sensor I could go on and on, zve1 or fx3? Also a7c ii or whatever the new full frame camera is, I’d probably go a7s3 (for the view finder) but still age is nothing haha 😆 this was a great discussion thanks for being cool about it, sending u love from Canada 🇨🇦

@@LouisLuzuka hehe I have an A7SIII and an A7IV...and they make me very happy! And I hope they will last me a few more years. For the kind of work I do they are more than enough. I understand that brands launch a new camera, or drone, or whatever, and sell it to you as the only thing you can work with, but it's up to us to put our feet on the ground and decide whether to change the equipment or not. If there is a very strong evolution, of course it makes sense; for example for me going from the A7SII, with its 8 bits, to the A7SIII with 10 bits 4:2:2 was VERY necessary. I also understand that as your style evolves, you can change the equipment (I myself have gone from 35mm and 85mm to use a 20mm and 50mm...), but sometimes the temptation to have the latest drags us and we can end up investing money in equipment we don't need. Anyway, hugs from Spain!
