It would be lovely, but highly unlikely. In 1980-82, Kenya had to fight against armed guerrillas from Somalia and was caught off guard and unprepared to face such a challenge. Somalian fighters tried to sustain and finance their goddamned war and poached mostly everything that moved on 4 paws, mainly rhinos for their horns and elephants for their tusks, but also lions got decimated, either as trophies to be sold on black markets or out of a perceived menace for the life of fighters. If my memory serves me well, after the war, Kenian officials found no more trace of lion population in Kora Park... That's when Kenya's gov. created the Kenya Wildlife Service the way we know it to date, equipping their well trained personnel at paramilitary level. Most likely too late to save Christian's bloodline.

I have heard a lot of speakers over the years and had the pleasure of listening to him yesterday, what an incredibly talented and engaging chap. Very understated for a guy that has achieved so much. The best speaker I have heard in 30 years.
