I have that same crockpot and those soap chunks form because the heating element is along the bottom edge. You literally have to scrap the "corners" of that bottom rim to get the soap off those heating elements. Hope that helps.

I enjoyed this so much, lovely soaps. And I was curious about this FO, sounds wonderful, but I’d say it discolors at least a bit.

I enjoyed your video. I use the pine tar as an ingredient, heated with my oils before saponification. It helps with the emulsion and speeds up the process with HP nicely. Thanks for sharing.

Why don't you use the stick blender when the soap was cooked for a while and looks harder in the middle? Is there a special reason?

Lard ???? From pig !!!?....i thought the oils to makes soap only from plant.....not from animal....and im so sad that i could not used lard bcz im a muslim.....i would be be very thanksfull if you can suggest me to subtitute the lard to something else !!? Thanks

TFS…I’ve made ‘Aleppo-type” soap 3 times and made it differently each time🤣…30% laurel berry/50% laurel berry and 70%(read online that authentic soap is actually 70%) I also cook the evoo first and then add laurel berry and I have also added cocoa butter….I love it for myself😍
