Is there a way somewhere to download this and import it to blender?
It should be in the add-ons in earlier versions of Blender
all worked, thanks man
Glad it helped 👍
ooohhh Its my dumbass Caps lock ON...Huge Thanks!
Gets me every time 👍
is this better than mark seams ?
Depends on the final intent, the complexity of the model, and if seams need to be in a specific location. If you just need to get a relatively accurate UV projection for texture painting, this can be a great way, but it can also introduce seams if you are relying on an existing texture or know that something will cross such as a procedural texture
@@WhatMakeArt what if i mark seams good and smart uv project is it gonna work nicely or i will get some bad stretch texture
@Atomic-toons00 I think it overrides any marked seams, try it on a simple model and see how it goes
is it possible to paint two materials simultaneously. for example I paint a color map at the same time together with bump map?
I don't know if you can do that in Blender but you cand do that in tools like Substance. I need to try that in Blender
I wanna export the animation from the frame 200 to 400, but somehow a long timeline of over 3 mins gets exported!! Do you know why that is?!
Did you set your frame range in the output settings?
@@WhatMakeArt thanks for your reply. Which settings?! The active part is just there at the bottom in the timeline and I went file> export Adobe after effects. I see no settings.
link pls

Thank you for the nice tutorial, for anyone else having that camera not following the path issue after 5:16 step, look for the fix in the comment below by (dreamingofmusicmedia)
What kind of a box cutter u use
Be careful with box cutters, get one at the store that fits in your hand well and does feel flimsy I also like the canary cutters but they are different than box cutters
Very Helpful...Thanks...
Glad it helped 👍
Very informative information
Glad it helped 📐📏⛏️
Thanks! Fast and easy! I have always applied the mirror modifier and done it that way.. 😂Now this is way faster
Glad it helped 👍
I’m on Mac too but I can’t seem to find the “shadows” option in “render,” which is where the “cube size” is. I would appreciate it if someone could help me either with this.
The render section was updated recently in Blender
But is there any way for me to access “cube size?”
Not sure, need to check once I upgrade to newer Blends
Thanks!
your my HERO !!!!
Glad it helped 👍
hi, why did you chose the "export camera parameters JSON" in the final example? I can't seem to import that in blender.
Yeah that was a mistake in the video
@@WhatMakeArt :) OK, thought that the 3point camera needed some other export setting lol, thanks!
That object looks like the source of my nightmares.
fever dreams
the add on is missing from the preferences, and also from the official add on site. so mad rn
Strange
add on does not exist for me, cannot be downloaded from preferences, or the official addon site. period.

@agent_427 Did you try an earlier Blender version?
@amy_kx what version of Blender?

Super nice, thanks.
Glad it helped 👍
Thank you !
Welcome glad it helped inset across mirrors in Blender 👍
This is a great video. Not only is it short and to the point, but it goes a little beyond the question of "How do i change the units", with showing how to split them. Thank you SO much for making this!
Thanks for the feedback, glad it helped change and split units in Blender 📏📐
thank you
Glad it helped with IV unwrapping in Maya 👍
@@WhatMakeArt for a quick summary switch from maya classic/standard to UV EDITING select your model in the 3d view in the uv editing window select edit and delete then select create and camera view (creates a uv map based on top down view) right click on your model and select "face" in the uv editing view drag and select your entire model, use the resize tool (r) or the move tool (w) to pan it to your desired location thanks again!!
@KillJoy323 you got it ‼️
thank you. my video wouldnt play unless i dragged it into the project using file browser. i got it to work with images as plane by adjusting the amount of frames. didnt know i had to do that.
Glad you got the video playing 👍
This was insane! Thank you so much. I'm currently designing an art piece for ars electronica festival and this will really help me.
Glad it helped, 👍 sounds like a really cool project you are working on, share a link when it's done, would love to see ift
Very helpful! (a bit fast though)
Thanks for the feedback and glad it helped 👍
Yeah thanks for the video! I’m gonna use this design in a project of mine
the problem is the curves get changes when im trying to change position or to animate it how to solve this issues
Delete the history, but make a hidden copy first if you want to be able to edit it later
for some reason when I mirror the lines the boxes on the other side dont show up
Did you click everything in the mirror?

Wow thanks! ❤
Welcome ☕☕☕☕
I've never understood why people try and make allowances for kerf in the actual design, it's much better to do that in the software that is actually controlling the laser itself. Kerf varies with material and with lens focal length, so making the necessary changes in the laser controlling software makes much more sense.
I agree, kerf should be different from the nominal design, it can be done in the laser cutting software or he cam workspace in fusion
You are a life savior SIR! 🙏✌
Glad it helped, more holes in cubes in Maya! 📦🕳️
Thanks
Welcome ⛽
Great tutorial! Thanks a lot! I'm getting into 3D character creation with Reallusion and all scanning tutorials were for Windows apps. Besides, all tutorials I found were heads only. This is great! I was about to get a PC in order to do this, for apps such as Meshroom won't run with Parallels and Reality Scan charges per job. Many thanks!
Hope your scans work out, if you find any tips and tricks post them in the comments. I'm also going to make some updated tutorials about full body photogrammetry.

Welcome 🪤
Thanks! Still relevant today. 👍
Glad to hear it helped with lip syncing in Adobe Animate 👁️🗨️
VERY good video thank you
Glad it helped with making 3D text in Blender 👍
so the transparency worked for shading but it doesnt work for layout and when i try to export it. i think i did most of it right but theres smth im missing.
Did you UV unwrap the mesh and make sure none of the UVs overlap, are scaled correctly, and in the 0 to 1 UV space?
@@WhatMakeArt update: the texture does show for layout but it still doesnt show for exporting so im unsure of what i did wrong. i unwrapped all of it and i dont think any of them overlap.
By export, do you mean the rendering? Is that material applied to the object mesh?
@@WhatMakeArt yes i do mean rendering, sorry. it is applied.
That is strange, must be something in the shading node setup ...
hey i tried it, but when I import in AE, the camera has 0 keyframes. the composition that gets creaetd is 1 frame long. Any ideas?
Does the blender scene have camera movement?
Yes it does
@yanalineva4231 Hmm ... Puzzling, I would try with a new simple Blender scene and after effects file to eliminate variables and test, hope you figure it out
This was beyond what I wanted. In just 3 minutes it explained evrything that I thought was going to be a 1 hour tutorial lol. Thank you sir!
Glad it helped split a body in Fusion 360 👍
This isn't transparency, this is blending. You change the transparent parts to the same color as the cube. I am looking to make it actually transparent.
Use a transparent or glass shader to make the object transparent
