The International Association of Islamic Psychology (IAIP) is a professional body which aims to set and maintain a high standard of research and practice in this specialized field. We embrace and build upon the work of classical scholars from the Islamic tradition and bring it into the context of modern clinical psychology, with a focus on practical application.
Introduction to Islamic Psychology with Dr. Malik Badri | Course Trailer
In commemoration of our beloved teacher on the anniversary of his return to his Lord, we are happy to announce the upcoming release of an exclusive online course with Professor Badri. This introduction to the theory and practice of Islamic Psychology includes topics such as The Contributions of Early Muslim Scholars, The Qur’anic Paradigm of Psychology, The Islamic Model of the Soul, The Prophetic Model of Counseling, and Cultural Contexts of Islamic Psychotherapy. This previously unreleased material is presented in an organized curriculum of modules each consisting of videos of Professor Badri teaching with integrated presentation slides, curriculum outline, corresponding readings, and module review exercises to support your learning. This is an opportunity to learn directly from the Father of Modern Islamic Psychology and to play a part in the continuation of his legacy for generations to come.
