His brilliance will never fade RIP King Louis and all involved 🙏❤
King Louie!!!
All greats all beautiful!
Ed Sullivan an amazing man had all the best on his show

They are eccelent performer so beautiful and very clever playing around ❤❤❤😂😂
Lots of props for Louis and Keeley as expected and warranted but Sam Butera was pivotal to the success of the act. A top of the line sax player, and jazz vocalist, Butera was the arranger of the music for the group ("Jump, Jive and Wail" is definitive Butera). His vocals on "Next Time" are worth a listen.
I like how they have a guitarist but havent figured to give him any solos at this time yet all the horn players had one
That was entertainment all the way through 😊Thank you for sharing these performances.
My Dad loved Louis and Keeley. They used to go to REAL Vegas in the 50s and see him live every chance they could from Los Angeles.
A true gem!!
So great
😊😊
Was there ever a better singer than Keely Smith. If so, please name them.
That guitar is probably worth 20K now !
King Louis 👑 from Jungle Book 😂😂🤣🤣
Great performance by Louis and the boys...Keely smith had such a strong and beautiful voice!!
Thank you for sharing this precious reel of timeless footage! The ones and only Louis Prima, Keely Smith, Sam Butera and musicians - they don’t make such genuinely great artists and performers anymore!
She is beautiful and so is her voice, I don’t know how she managed to keep a straight face. Loved what they call her pan face.
If I could, I'd post 1,000 hearts for the last song on this video. "I want you to be my baby" is just pure gold!!! Gia kills it with her rapid fire delivery and the arrangement to close out the song is almost a preview of 70's R&B.
I know he was the most talented and the greatest entertainer aside from the chairman of the board " Frank" . The ladies my mom loved him and Tony Bennett but the ol man preferred Primo I figured it out he was talking about prima he drank primo to as everyone supported the local brewery thanks guys and dames for reading and enjoying Louis see his documentary too.mahalo and aloha Analu
Louis made music goofy and fun
What happened to his hair?
7:10 ...the king of the jungle
thank you!
Louis Prima is unreplaceable The closest thing to the wildest would be his daughter Lena prima What a beautiful person with a beautiful smooth voice I know her father is watching from above with a big smile on his face
I don’t blame him, as an Angelina I can arrest were much better than the Josephina’s 😂🫠
First appearance, and he was balding. 2nd appearance, not so much.
Nice eyebrows Louis 👌
at first, I thought there were jokers, but they keep me glued till the end, I was born in 1970 but somehow I know I have heard that voice before. dominican republic. he must have been very famous in those days. everybody is gone, we will be gone tomorrow too.
Wow I get Keely’s shtick, but man it must have been hard for her not to at least tap a foot to all that amazing music!
What an amazing human Louis Prima was, he had a spirit and personality that was ahead of it's time and the same goes for everyone else in the band, what a beautiful video to watch.
Blessed to have parents who liked people like them. Classic musicians and people.
Thanks for the video
The HEPPEST OF THE HEP.......
Gold lamie jackets were very sharp and colorful in live performances. Louis Prima's momma said dat boy just came out a bucking jiving wiggling and dancing and singing when he was born. When the show was over they be sleeping in the corner of the stage. Keeley Smith was very pretty and smelled of sweet perfume. When she gave me back to my parents I cried even more! Didn't want to leave her arms. I was only 4 years old. 1962!
Boogie Woogie was the Bees Knees! An Italian man and a Jewish woman get together and Boogie Woogie!
oh, Louis........................
i wonder why keely didn't have the same fun as louis'
Thank you for this sweet recirding
Ya, but, who did this best was Peggy Lee, Loved that song, never got tired of it 30:35
I'm from NOLA and my grandpa knew his family, nice people... Dego from New Orleans... Old school
Hair today, more tomorrow.
So much more of what the players in the band can do! Great historic record of more than is usually played as "best of". Thanks
I stumbled upon a video of this band doing Night Train, which is one of my favorite saxophone songs. It took me 65 years to discover this band, now I'm obsessed!! Sam is fantastic on that saxophone and Louis and Keely are FANTASTIC!! I've been watching ever video I can find! How did I grow up missing this!!!??
13:03 watching at home a young Ron Mael experiences a life-changing flash of inspiration.
First discovered Prima in the mid-1950s. Bought his album :"Call Of The Wildest". I literally wore out that LP. What an entertainer/Butera too!
Also, never realized that he wrote "Sing, sing, sing" until years later. Sadly, never saw him live. Did see Butera several times after Prima's death.
