I had a less then massive dose and 16 minutes in the light and 1.5 days later its red and stinging and hot feeling.However its not awful . So far. Do not cheat and go out as i did for 3 minutes and it got worse in that little time,the cream helps and the ice water on a cloth helps a lot every three ,or four hours.they told me in 4 days I could go out ,we will see.

This was very informative. May I add that women of colour have a natural wide variation in their appearances. It is a spectrum. On one extreme there are the women of West Africa with wider noses and fuller lips. On the other extreme there are East African women with narrower noses and thinner lips. All I ask is that this variability be kept in mind and that patients of colour not be given what the injector's standard of beauty is but rather that their results truly make them beautiful.

Unfortunately, medical grade skin products cost a FORTUNE. When you are on minimum wage but otherwise take care of your skin with good care and great diet, the medical grade products would be hugely beneficial. Unfortunately, they are marked up so much that only those making 6 or 7 figures can afford them. My problem is down turned lips, well the top lip. My oral commissures as you detailed turn down. I wonder if filler can correct this or I need another sort of procedure that can make my lip turn up or even just go length ways :)

I’m currently on day six of PDT, and this is my 5th treatment. This video (series) gives an unrealistic view of recovery and treatment. Very few people have the lotion put on for such a short time, and very few people sit in front of the lights for such a short time (if actually using the treatment for pre-cancers rather than other purposes). Everyone else I know who has undergone this, to the more common extent used for pre-cancers, is a whole lot more red for much longer, and peels for days and days in large amounts. If you are to undergo this treatment for pre-cancer (which for health reasons, you may need to), expect to be at home for a week while you heal and look horrendous. You won’t be at spin class with the ladies, I can promise you.
