2003 Kawasaki Ninja ZX9r revving issue

2003 Kawasaki ZX9r with jet kit and slip on exhaust. Had the same issue with out the jet kit. Once motor is warmed up the bike will shut off if I turn the throttle to fast.

I just bought a 2023 with 3 miles new took it for a ride and the same thing happened to me. I’m going to try to fix it if not I’ll take it back to the dealer

Yes, tonight me and my friends went to a grave yard just to find someone who we were looking for and as we were walking to the car, we heard some howling in the distance so we speed walk. Then we heard another pack on the other side of the field far but the howls were closer . The graveyard was surrounded by nothing but forest and so we ran like we bolted fast. it was the most scariest thing I have ever experienced. Its like they were surrounding us and getting closer.

Why is it ticking ? How’s the power feel now ?
The ticking is due to the valves closing, if I give it any more gap it will hit the piston. it has a whooooole lot more power. The only thing is it spits oil due to my dumb*ss overfilling it.
I snapped the Bolt trying to tighten it --- What do I do now?

I'm having a issue with mine no power atall just cuts out when I try and even try the throttle turned out to be carbs so got them sorted a month down the line started the bike wouldn't rev past 4k as the bike warmed up it would rev to about 6 7 k but that's it it I tried and more it would cut out so I take it out for a spin it hesitating abit after a min or two run perfect revs all the way through haven't used it much tbh so might just need a good blast 😀 any ideas would be nice I have a delkavic exhaust on and a filtrex performance air filter so maybe it needs a rejet but saying that they been on for two year with out a issue so 😀

Where did you get that key switch panel from
from Amazon. ( Rox Speed FX Dash Panel DP-402 ) it's about $51 now
check the float needle valves are not letting fuel in, causing over fuelling and a rich mixture
disconnected throttle positioning sensor, since it's a carbureted bike, and for some reason it's running perfect now. 🤔 but appreciate the help
Take it back to stock ie not modified exhaust and jetting and carburettor settings. is the radiator fan coming on; Like It should be . Lack of this could cause overheating and seizure.
running way better now got carbs synced and readjusted the fuel/airflow screw. I also ride in higher gear to put less stress on the motor. which in turn keeps the temperature down. also someone else told me to change the radiator, which it may need, due to the bike was sitting for 10 years before I got it. and thanks for the help I appreciated it

Looks like the lower handle bar assembly is actually manufactured crooked and not the shaft on my 2021.

@@BongDRed no worries but I can't for the life of me find the plastic that wraps around tank. I got the piece that sits around the top of the tank. But other piece no luck.

I'm trying to takeoff the rear plastic tire cover so that I can wrap it how did you take it off
that particular piece I did not take off, due to it being riveted into the rear swing on. I will take another look at it once the bike comes back from the shop from getting the first service done
Another question my panels are actually at the shop getting wrapped but the rap is not sticking to the bottom rocker panels of the bike how did you get yours to stick
my rear fender is riveted on, in order to take it off I will have to break the rivet then somehow screw it back on with a screw and bolt. as for the wrap not sticking you may need to clean your panels better or it could be the adhesive on the wrap. The wrap I use did not come out that well either. Maybe due to I am not a professional. What I mean by not coming out well, is I have a few bubbles that popped up. I'm planning on painting the panels now.

Have you had any issues with your instrument panel getting loose and moving a little bit left or right? I'm having that problem now. Seems the mount that holds the instrument panel and windshield somehow got a little loose, not sure how to tighten it.

@@BongDRed Excellent, that's exactly what I was looking for. Can that one screw up under the instrument mount be removed to apply Lock Tight without causing any big troubles? What color Lock Tight would you recommend, blue or red???

Good info on the video.... when you say the wrap was a fail.... did you have an issue with the wrap adhering to the abs plastic?
not really, but if you look closely there are a few bubbles that popped up later. Also due to the Ryker being so curvy, every time I stretched it I would rip the vinyl or get too thin.
