Are YOU lost on trails? If so watch this video
Hello guys my name is Ben and this is bad bikes and today we are going to be talking about how to not get lost on mtb trails and what to do if you get lost. But first story time. When i was just starting out riding mtb i had no india how big my trail system was and how to get around in them and so me and my brothers got lost for a few hours biking around in the woods with absolutely no clue where we were until we found some other riders that were able to get us out. So i speak from experience not other peoples input. on that note let's get started.
The first one is to be prepared. Now don't be over prepared but you should at the least have a multi tool and a water bottle. I ride around with a whole backpack full of supplies and gear because if a tire goes out or I break something on my bike it means I'm walking a few miles back home. Not fun.
The next one is to take a print off of the trail you are going to be riding that day in case your phone runs out of battery. I like this alot because there is something that is really cool about having a map. You know it's just MAP.
The best tip of all time I think is to back track. So if you have absolutely no idea where you are you can just turn right back around and ride the way you came. yes you are probably breaking some rule of trail courtesy but who cares when you're stuck in the middle of the woods.
If you're still lost in the woods here is another tip. Ride with someone who knows the trails and can help you out or ride with a friend who has no idea about the trails and then you can get lost together.
The last one is to just take a break. Just put your bike on the side of the trail, m-m-m not on the drive side, take off your helmet and relax, think about where you are and collect your mind and then start back up just remember not to rest too long otherwise you will become very tired.
So that wraps up this video. If you have any questions just ask me in the comments and i will be happy to answer them as always my name is ben and this is bad bikes and i will see you in the next video.
God Bless.

NEW AIR FORK DAY!!! A Build with Ben...
zhlédnutí 299Před měsícem
Let's start by taking off the front wheel, unscrewing the front brake and loosening the two pinch bolts on either side of the headtube. Now taking off the top cover we can take off the stem and remove my old fork. After I was done putting the crown race on my new air fork it was time to cut it to size using a pipe cutter. Then I precisely installed the star nut using a hammer and an old bolt. I...

This trick is awesome because you can do it in a v...
Top Five things you can do on a rainy day for mtb
zhlédnutí 823Před 2 měsíci
Rain, water, pretty much the only things that can ruin a mountain bikers day. They make the trails unrideable and super muddy. Yet rain and wet are so important to our mountain bike trails because it compacts the dirt making it a better surface for us to ride on and also makes the roots and rocks more visible and gnarly. But it's still a big bummer when you realize that it's going to rain on th...

Is this action camera for MTB? Review of the Akaso Brave 4

Hello guys my name is Ben and this is bad bikes and today we are going to be reviewing the Akaso brave 4. It is an 80 dollar action camera on amazon. I Thought it would be good for the price but it just didn't have it. Let's start with the build quality. The Akaso has the build quality of a dollar store toy. It feels super lightweight like a hollowed log which suggests that (not in its indestru...

I already have a mtb and I’m thinking about getting a bmx for goofing off and extra maneuverability, any thoughts on if it’s a good idea?
Yes, definitely! I have seen good BMX bikes on Facebook for under 100$
@@badbikes14 awesome, thanks bro!
I love maps too!
First pin ?
That trail ride was awesome!
Yes it was!
Dude that trail is fun, but man it's a work out haha.
Great video man! Awesome upgrade!
Glad you liked it!!
I need to try that
It is a ton of fun just to mess around with bike parts and see what you can build. You should do it!
Need to get that grass on the bricks in the back :)
All in all great vid,I even subscribed ❤( wholesome guy) I have several bikes lol and truly MTB and BMX are very different from each other....but I find myself using BMX alot mainly because I practice and perform stunts plus its cool and fresh...not that a guy cant perform stunts on a mountain bike....its just that BMX is more lighter as you said and more dynamic
Keep it up! Cucumbers are great for hydration 😂
Definitely!!
You should have shown the whole installation of tire out of box
You're right I should have but I had already made a video with that that proses in it. So sense I was trying to keep my video short I did't put it in.
in the 80s we used our bmx bikes on everything didnt matter what it was we did it
That is awesome! I wish I could ride back in the 80s.
Where is this trail, and is it open to the public?
they are in North Carolina and yes they are open to the public.
MTB🎉
Hey man, I'm super impressed by your video quality. It's kind of like watching a berm peak video from back in the day. Anyway, I wanted to tell you that maxxlight isn't a mainstream company and the fork is a clear rip-off of a Manitou fork. I'm telling you this because these knock-off forks tend to break/snap in a short time with moderate use. Unlike Suntour forks, which are built to last, forks like these cannot take the same abuse. Take care bro.
Ya, thank you for letting me know. I already new about the consequences but it is a risk I am wiling to take. I had to replace my fork because the old one had a striped bolt so I had no chose. Thanks again man, I appreciate you watching out for me.
Sounds like a well needed upgrade. Was it nerve racking cutting that piece off considering it was a 70 dollar part?
Not at all. Most "good" bike parts cost at least more than 200$ and I have done the process of installing a fork before.
nice video bro keep it up
will do!

Love the tool set up? What are your top 3 tool I should own??
A bike pump, a multitool, and a good set of needle noise pliers
The upside down riding 😂🤣 love it. Also great bike shop.
Glad you liked it! I put a lot of thought into my videos
man that looks like fun!
nice trails!
They are!
I just noticed an issue with your hitch. On your bike it is pointed down, when it should be pointing backwards. I would suggest you rotate it so it would be easier to attach and be less likely to disconect.
Ok, thanks for that advice😀

i want to go ride now
Great video man. It was awesome to see Gabe
Glad you enjoyed!

Good video bro, keep it up uploading more adventures in the mountain ✌️
