Anno 1800 setting is thematically very appropriate for a lovecraftian character. Looking forward to watch the rest of this series as I've only recently discovered this game for myself. Better late than never!

its more eficiant to transport logs to sawmills then to wharehouse. speaking of logs. if you own docklands dlc create massive amounts of logs to trade at the docklands. i myself use a whole additional island just for logs. make sure youre island has extra storage to collect large amounts. you can ther trade them for alsorts of goods

to claim an island before the AI. just settle on the nearest beach. once settled you can just move your trading post to where you want it. theres no need to slowly sail all the way around an island in a slow race (this guys set it to charge him for doing that though)

Small Tipp like the problem with sheep farm and framework knitters here just fill the space there with plants potatoes or what futility are on the island it makes it less painful for the eye and you maximize your output

I finally forced my way through all the DLC in Anno and that game was 245 hours although a lot of that was constantly mucking about with trade routes. And then I did a play through with no DLC which was only 40 hours so I am pretty much done with Anno for a while myself. As for self sufficiency for the new world I use the General Foreman to generate steel beams from brick factories and the Savvy Customs Officer to generate weapons and advanced weapons at the trade port. I don't think you can build steamships but at least you can build ships of the line. Congratulations on your marriage I wish your family nothing but happiness. I have Kingdoms Reborn and enjoy it but haven't played since before the Japan update so I am looking forward to your videos. I like the difference from Anno logistics.

Glad to see you uplaoding again! I enjoyed Kingdoms Reborn although I haven't played since the latest update so if you do start a series I will be excited to watch. I am grinding away on my Anno 1800 game as well the last thing I have to complete is High Life and I do have the 75 skyscrapers at lvl 4 I just need to upgrade them to level 5 meet the requirements and then do the skyline tower and I will have completed the main parts of all the DLCs for the first time.

Solution when artists are not activated in the new world, I've been playing Anno 1800 for over 2000 hours and it had never happened to me before. Of course, it hadn't happened because in the early games, you follow a routine and similar logic. But when you have played for so many hours, you change the logic to optimize everything and not waste time, as you know thousands of shortcuts and tricks. So, in this playthrough on my main island in the new world, I never created workers and laborers as usual. Everything was constructed from the hacienda. The game has a flaw that doesn't account for this case. To be able to have artists, one of the requirements is to reach 1000 workers, and I had 2500, but the option for artists never appeared because it requires a thousand regular workers from regular buildings, not from the haciendas. Furthermore, you can have 999 workers from haciendas, but you need the last regular building, whether it's a non-DLC house or a normal workers' house, to reach 1000 workers, and then the option to have artists appears. I have been searching for this for weeks and never found an answer, maybe because no one else has experienced it.

Just found this game awhile back when a CZcamsr I like played it. Your playthrough happen to come up on my list today and I'm glad I decided to watch it. I love town/city/civ build games. I used to love playing SIM City and I really want to play City Skylines.

just out of curiosity, maybe i missed it... but why do you play with game sound completely off? enjoying the playthrough, just find it odd, lol.

Consider adding a botanical garden by completing sets it adds fertility and a +25% boost to the whole island so you don't have to fool around with trade union radius.

That feel when he declared war on me for the first time and I just saw my fleet melt by "something". And then being annoyed by realising what it was that took it down. Those mines are really nasty! And the worst thing was realisation that I could zoom in on the water and see them even without the sonar. I now plan to use cheapest ships possible to tank those hits before moving in. :> Cool video!

A few suggestions, you can build a hydro dam on Parella but I never got very far on my own playthrough of New World Rising to know what is involved. There is a craftsman that I think changes jewelry to just gold so you don't need pearls and finally consider building 1 flak monitor to get rid of all the airships in the Old World. Actually you may want one for your fleet as well as I suspect Miss Hunt used sea mines dropped from her airship to sink your cargo ship.
