1:52:36 I don't understand this point at all, why does a text that is supposed to be the literal word of God change depending on how you read it? If you have to read it the way Christians do, and Christians have changed the way they read it, and the morals that you draw from it change depending on how you read it, at that point God is no longer dictating morality to humans the Christians are. That is silly, either it is the word of God or it is just a human construction. I truly don't understand why people need magic like the bible to be real, life is cool enough without it, and the story of the bible is a compelling one that we can all learn many lessons from, that we can see the progress of human ethics from, it is genuine fascinating, it doesn't have to be amazing to the point of fiction to still give us all value.

As a Christian, I believe Alex won the debate with a doubt. His opponent was not prepared he was insecure, very nervous. Alex simply wanted clear answers. Unfortunately, he never got them.

I’ve heard better arguments from Christian apologists. Dinesh spews nothing but bad faith arguments, employs misdirection, and is a walking talking logical fallacy. I feel dirty and a strong sense to shower after listening to his rhetoric.

Alex should have been a lawyer, he systematically eviscerates Dinesh, as an Atheist I confess this is deeply entertaining. To me, the Bible is an indefensible advocacy for violent and abhorrent conduct with the odd admirable parable, it should be consigned to the dustbin of history.

Religion today is just ideas from the past, smashed together, nit-picked to hell and beyond, taking what you thought was good from the previous ones, or ones next to you, if you lived in the time when other religions was spread far and wide. Then you made it all, somewhat, consistent with the details, hoping no one would fck it up later on, which it always happens later on. Of course, the most important detail, preach and say, we have the answer to life, and are the one truth. Study and read into past religions mythos, and one can see, how the religions of today have taken "inspiration" of the religions of the past.
