Is this even allowed???
Amazing that you got the chance to do this!
No pump required to run the APU
No but airlines recommend it. As for Southwest, they require their FOs to turn on a fuel pump for the APU, then the CA turns on all the pumps during his preflight.
so cool, are flight tours schedule in advance?
Thanks Ben for the visual and RR BR715 symphony!! 🛩️👌🏻
THANKS SCOTT! 🤩
Probably a violation of company policy to allow this.... manipulating switches in the flight deck.
not at all!
Nope! You just need captain’s approval.
Terrain reminds me of good ol' "Camp Bob".
Good ol’ Camp bob it was 😂
What did they eat
😂
Nice landing. That’s typical if it’s windy. That’s a god pilot. My guess is strong winds off the mountains.
I talked to the pilots, who were super friendly… the captain was training so it was one of her first times in flight using the left stick, plus a short runway so… it was hard, again though hats off to those pilots
Ryan Air Landing
kid, imma be frank with you... if someone were to pull a circuit breaker because the sound of that instrument "got on your nerves", you would no longer be employed at that company. And you would probably we looking at certificate action taken against you by the FAA since the standby altimeter is 100% required for IFR flight.
As a mechanic we do it All THE TIME
@@justing42Yea but he’s talking about the pilots
A very nice pilot let me start the APU and APU generators and few days ago 😁
That’s awesome
@@SSAviation737 it was an amazing experience
Fantástic
Too much cloud cover to see the Cascade range with Mt Hood or Mt Jefferson.
The kids know more than me, and I'm a pilot. hehe! It's always so fun to meet people such as them who are so excited about it. Hat's off to the FO for taking the time to let them do this! If that's not inspiring the next generation, nothing is. Great video. Made me smile all the way through! Thanks for posting.
They didn't know, FO showed them his preflight part.
Which airline?
SWA
bro didn't like you very much 💀
Dude I thought the same and he is the one who is so excited 😂😂
I don’t know if he liked me recording 😂 but yeah I think so too
Cockpits are about the same size in commercial aviation, whether it's a 747 or a small business jet. They have to be functional, and a very big cockpit won't work because you need to reach the handles and switches with seatbelts on and have windows so close that you can observe traffic below you and above you.. I really like your channel btw :)
she looks stupid 😅
💀
I do all that in the MAX. ACARS saves so much time.
ACARS really does from what I heard. You can get everything autopopulated. It really spoils ya
Should've let you do some as well since you are wayy more interested in this! Nice video :)
Do pilots always request the flight plan?
Whom should I pay to do the same?)) Just dream of my life!
How did you get this tour?
You just have to ask nicely!
So outdated
I mean...the plane was delivered in 2018 so not really.
If you say that I guess you are an expert on the Boeing 737 systems
@@sundar999 the original Vincent was saying the plane is outdated. The plane was brand new in 2018. If they meant the design, then that's a completely different argument. But to call a plane delivered in 2018 outdated is dumb. Am I an expert in 737 systems? No. Do I know a lot more about it than the average Joe? Of course. You don't have to be an expert on something to speak about it. They would be disastrous.
@@blind_aviator I referred to @povertyspec, not you :) So I expected that @povertyspec knew the 737 very well. I agrre with everything you said 😃
@@sundar999 sorry. You commented right after I did and there was no @ mention. I kinda assumed lol

WHAT, CRAZY GOOD LOOKON HOMMADE SETUP. I TRIED MAKING AN F18 COCKPIT BUT FAILED. GREAT JOB
Hah, I haven't made any new videos but its come a long way since ive recorded it, lots of new cool stuff.
Looks like the dc3
Heh yeah FR just a bit more modern but yeah…. Same Vibes 😂
Nah bro looks way more modern than the 3 lol
He nailed it… the altimeter woodpecker is the worst!
Honestly I like it.
That's actually the standby attitude indicator. It's very annoying. New 737s have digital ones fortunately.
Are you even on the ground???

Love when reduced climb thrust is deleted at 5,000 feet.
Always!! heard the roar the whole way up
You should do that again and do the captain's flows. They are usually very nice. It's a pretty long flow and you get to hit almost every button lol
Hm ok that would be nice, thanks for the advice. Some airlines have different Captain flows, although they are generally the same. At the time of the visit, there was only the FO on the flight deck, so we still got way more than what we asked for.
@@flaps4038 Yeah, the SWA pilots are amazing. I have been in the cockpit and have had a blast. I love SWA.
Do I go to the pilots and say can I do a captains flow?
@@clutchtucker Well, I guess it could depend on the captain, and also depends on how early you get to the airplane. If the captain is finished with the flow, they might say that they are finished with the flow or smth like that.
Didn’t expect to see you here 😂
Mmmmh CFM 56

Nice report and great seat selection for that view!
