2016 and I'm the first to comment. So how's Ireland doing now? Whatever happened to the Billions of punts (Irish pounds) worth of gold handed over to the EU when Ireland joined? Britain likewise, but it gave more. Why is "Billions" required for the "Peace Process" and where, or to whom did it go? And if Ireland is so sensitive to its EU neighbours, why did it let the Clintons take over and corrupt the Irish political arena?

Article 50 is the EU’s own process of leaving. We had to adhere to it. It is eu law. Brexit is a process, not an event. There are so many eu laws and regulations to overcome. It was ingrained into every aspect of daily life. I have never met anyone who regrets voting leave. The people in this video are in a bubble, all like minded. I am very pleased we are now the only genuine fully democratic sovereign country in the whole of Western Europe. Even Norway and Switzerland are eu rule takers. From the covid vaccination programme, to AUKUS, to free trade deals / pacific trade group, to our response to the Russian threat to invade Ukraine. The UK forced the eu by example to support Ukraine. Germany would not even let uk military aid fly over its airspace it was that bad.

To have a real direct democracy, citizens should vote on issues - not people. There are an infinite number of issues to vote on. To make a dent in those issues, we must have an honest and fast voting system. Voting should be done electronically by phone, web, and phone app using open source servers. We MUST have a method to determine if the voters are citizens of the jurisdiction they are voting in and that they only vote in a single district. Those citizens should be able to vote quickly and be able to instantly see that their vote was recorded properly and to instantly total all votes as they happen. Propositions should be proposed by anyone by posting a bill. The N most popular propositions (based on online polls) should come up for a vote - i.e. complete and instant transparency. The voting system should give both pro and con arguments a limited public space that people could read, watch, or listen to prior to voting. To institute a law should require a 2/3 majority to enact or a 1/3 minority to repeal - that way there will be solid agreement that the law is really necessary. How do we get there? 1. Design the online/phone voting system that is easy and quick to use, publish the source code, and implement it. 2. Create a not-for-profit organization to promote it by allowing existing representatives to use it to see what their constituents really want. 3. Use the not-for-profit org to promote representatives that use the system and vote according to their constituents wishes - regardless of party. Eventually, if it works well, representatives will have to join the system to be credible. 4. At some point, the representative will not be necessary and we can use direct democracy instead.
