Funny picked up this rum a few weeks ago. Not a terrible blend and easy for quick drinks for a crowd.

I've been using OFTD for my 1-rum Mai Tais, but I will see if I can find this. I also use the Pierre Dry Curacao, I think that is a big improvement. Derrick's recommendations for rum are usually great; his episode on rums where he talked me into trying Smith & Cross changed my life! lol

Aboouuuut 12yrs ago? I made a drink called a San Fran Russian or Gay Russian. Equal amounts of Stoli Chocolate Raspberry Vodka Same Amount of Kalua Especial Splash of Coconut Coffee Creamer Fill rest of way with Half&Half or Milk Chocolate Raspberry Stoli also goes good with Cream Soda.

mezcal tastes like the way burnt rubber smells...like a car tire after a burn out.

Love the wordplay of the cocktail and Dan's love of Laphroig :)

love the Japanese style jigger such a smooth and fluid feel in the hand and its very accurate would highly recommend it

This has everything you need to make an interesting Daquiri, and the choice of the Dry Curacao is a good one in my opinion. You guys were up to your usual fun selves again. Love it.

Thanks, guys. I haven't tried it with Velvet but I've used St Elizabeth's Allspice Dram instead and it's a good drink when I want to imagine I'm on a yacht in Bermuda. Cheers

You guys always look like you're having a good time! I'm sitting with a Hemingway Daiquiri right now, maybe I'll chase it with one of these (it's hot out). My difference will be that right now I have open a bottle of The Bitter Truth falernum, which I think is a little less sweet and heavy on the ginger compared to the Velvet. So we'll see . . . it's all in the interest of science.

Why did Drambuie change? First they got rid of the iconic label on the bottle… so plain now. And recently they actually changed the ingredients (and flavor). Now it tastes like licorice. Yuck. They ruined my favorite after dinner drink! 😟

I don't personally drink a lot of Cosmos, but I think it's a good drink and I understand why people like them. Cocktail suggestion: Since you ask, and since you mention tiki, I think the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club Daiquiri (Trader Vic) is worth considering. Whenever I make multiple drinks in batches, this tends ro be the first to run out (I serve the batched version on the rocks instead of up).

A bottle of Cointreau here cost just over $40 and the Gran Gala cost $20 so it's a much cheaper alternative. Every citrus vodka I've tried gives me headaches.

Recipe card was using my old recipe, here is the updated one (also in the description) The Cosmopolitan 1 1/2 oz Citrus Vodka 3/4 oz Cointreau / Orange Liqueur 3/4 oz Fresh Lime Juice 1/2 oz Cranberry Juice Cocktail

Reverse forsure, the finish isnt as historically accurate but would set a much better palate for future recipes
