@@AlJazariedu I didn't remember the date when this process was first introduced; but I got the manufacturing process from one of my father's hand books on semi-finished metal products. It had diagrammatic illustrations of the process. As a young boy I was thoroughly impressed by that hot piercing process.

The equation in this example is "y=18.994x+208.48", y represents Ft and x represents t so the equation is "Ft=18.996t+208.48". So, if you need F20 (for period 20 or t=20), then F20 = 18.996*20+208.48 = 588.4.

In such a case, the company is said to have a backlog of products. While, the reorder point is a signal to the company to release an order of a certain product once its inventory drops to this point.

Amazing! Any idea how to reference the slope of the trendline equation in a separate cell? For example, I'd like to incorporate the slope of the trendline into a separate formula, but don't know how to refer to it so that it updates with any changes to the trendline.

You can add two more columns to calculate t^2 and ty then calculate the summation of t, y, ty, and t^2 after that use the two equations to calculate the slope and the intercept. Can you please help me distinguish the economic order quantity per order and the optimal number of orders per year, do the economic order quantity per order and the optimal number of orders per year have the same meaning? I have exercises about them but still not so sure
@othicamvan223 Thanks for your question. The economic order quantity is the number of items per order that give the minimum annual inventory cost and can be calculated from the equation "or Q0 equals the square root of 2 multiplied by D multiplied by S divided by H". while the number of economic orders in a year means how many economic quantities must be ordered per year. In the first example of this video, the yearly demand is 9,600 tires, and the calculated economic order quantity is 300 tires. This means that each order has to be with 300 tires. To obtain the number of economic orders per year, simply divide the total yearly requirement (9,600) by the quantity per order (300) the result is 32 orders per year.
