I lived in the Chicago area in the times of the original 'Chicago' band (aka 1970s). I've always enjoyed the energy and the positivity of my favorite band then, as shown in the background scenery of this video. These kids have done a great performance, reflecting some of my experiences while living there. There are two parts to this wonderous video: first, to support opportunities for ALL kids, and later, in B&W, to some reasons many have been denied those same opportunities without union representation. Further, those 'Dark Side' theatrics of the "Be Prepared" segment from 3:58-5:18 is just too much for me to recommend this video elsewhere. I would appreciate separating those halves, and deleting that specific interlude, such that I might recommend those videos as separate presentations. Thanks.

Watching this in 2024, gives me pause. It shows all these people from obviously various cultures, gender, backgrounds....working harmoniously together to create that most fantastic rendition of that song. It gives hope....that America can see what is happening here in song....can happen in the USA everywhere. All those talented strengths in varied musical skills...high notes, low notes, vocal skills...using them all in tandem ...each 1 a part of a whole. Without any 1 of those singers....the song is lost in its entirety. WELL DONE in performing this great version of the song....and showing visually.....there is hope people from all backgrounds can come together to create a beautiful and passionate performance.
