Fair play to Down; they showed tremendous self-belief and quality on the big occasion and thoroughly deserved to win that day BUT the way this has been edited does not do credit to the heroic gallant comeback by the Meath men who had been through a monster of a campaign to get there and came back from 11 points down to lose by just two. I reckon a lot of the Down men, including the ones who played that day, would agree with me on that.

Well Aiden, i play for under 14's mayobridge and we are in the final for are champion-ship. We are faceing Shamrocks, and i want to see who or what the players are like. Thanks for putting up this video

Meath did exceptionally well to be competitive that years final. It took them 8 matches to get out of Leinster including 3 matches with extra time. People often forget the fact that after the 4 game saga V the Dubs the very next round they drew again against Wicklow. Ultimately the had 10 championship matches as opposed to Down's 5. Easily a record in the old championship format. They were coming back against Down in this final when you'd think they'd be all spent.
