So you sell this in Canada? Ontario?
If boat is on lift while you are.trying to bleed lines and jerking will that hurt the lift? It doesnt jerk when boat is off lift ..so to bleed lines I need to run with load on lift.the bouncing is scary.i dont want to damage lift. Any idea out there?
You will need to turn down the return line. There are two flow control valves, identify the return line and turn the knob clockwise to reduce the return speed which will eliminate the jerking.

What is the MSRP of this?
Your local dealer should be able to help you with current pricing and availability for this item. You can visit www.hewittrad.com/find-a-dealer to find the dealer nearest to you.
Is this a standard tap size for all Hewitt boat lift wheels? My hole stipped out and a 3/4" pipe was big and 1/2" pipe was too small. I was trying to figure thread size. My wheel is home but lift is 50 miles away.
Thanks for the question. All Hewitt winch wheels use 7/8" 9-thread per inch.

Where do you buy this
This item can be purchased through your local Hewitt dealer. Click the find a dealer link here www.hewittrad.com/products/other-products/paddle-board-rack to find the dealer closest to you.
Were your catwalks and frames made?
Thanks for the question...we manufacture everything right here in the USA...southern Minnesota to be more precise!
@@HewittRollADock can I buy them from a dealer?
@@aaron-fauth For sure! You can find your local dealer here www.hewittrad.com/find-a-dealer
0:40 Thank you, I needed to know how the motor bolted onto the pump / tank housing and could not figure it out.
Do you know if there is a pump like this for 1/2 inch hoses?
Hello, do you know if there is a pump like this but with bigger ports for 1/2 hoses?
Thanks for the inquiry. Please send your request at www.hewittrad.com/contact-us/contact-hewitt so we can fully understand what your application requires, and we'll be sure to help you out! Thanks!
Wow very nice sir I like that
What made my fluid tank pop as I was lowering my dump trailer
thanks for video it is help a lot so please I have hydraulic pump work on 24 v / 120 Amp . need your help what kind of battery I can used for and how long the battery can go with me with out charge it ( I mean work only by battery )
Can I connect an external tank line to that L bracket on the pump directly? I'm trying to reduce the horizontal size of the whole contraption.
Thanks for the question! The filter and tubing connected to the top of the tank is the return oil lines, there is a complete supply and return circuit there that should not be altered or you risk not supplying the pump with the proper amount of oil and risk damaging your pump.
@@HewittRollADock I'm referring to the L pipe at 0:48 in the video. Tank should be at 0 psi pressure. So having an external tank and gravity feeding oil from the external tank to that L pipe should not break the circuit. Do you agree?
@@DIYGuy85 We do not recommend altering the circuit.
How fast is the engine rotating
did you end up figuring out the issue?..i am having the exact same problem with it unscrewing itself
Hey Jesse, because of the many factors involved, please get in touch with your local dealer (www.hewittrad.com/find-a-dealer) or give us a call and we'll troubleshoot your specific lift with you. Thanks!
Where can I buy those guide pulleys
Thanks for the question Anita! Replacement parts are available direct from us at www.hewittrad.com
Can we use cable with sheathing?
Thanks for the question Julie! We do not supply sheathed cables for lifts and recommend using only the cables we supply. Let us know if we can help you find the right cables at www.hewittrad.com. The easiest way is to find your lift at www.hewittrad.com/products/lifts and then look at the kit includes tab, and drill down from there...find the pallet, go to that item's parts breakdown, find the hardware bag, go to that item's parts breakdown, and you should see the cable(s) specific to your lift.
How much oil is needed for a 8100# oil change?
Hey Mike, thanks for the question!. You'll need five (5) gallons and can purchase direct from us here www.hewittrad.com/p/other-products/universal-hydraulic-replacement/hydraulic-lifts-pontoon-leg-oil-1-gallon
The directions for this are very poor
Thanks for the feedback Penny. If you have any suggestions on how we can improve or any specific questions, please be sure to reach out to us!
So where can you buy the remote fob/s
Hey Stan, our products are available at www.hewittrad.com or your local dealer can help you out!
Nice vid. What happens if the armature pulls out of the motor when you are removing it from the pump unit? How can you re-install it? Brushes get in the way.
Hey Jeff! Here's what you'll need to do. You will need to remove the cap from the end of the motor and push the brushes out of the way when reinstalling. Hope that helps!
@@HewittRollADock It does...and it worked! Thanks.
@@jeffn8000 Great! Glad to hear it!
I m gone do that to mine is working really slow
How do you order online? I don’t have any local dealers...
Hey Donald. Go check out www.hewittrad.com. If it's too large to ship, you'll have to work with a dealer but we can help put you in touch with the right dealer.
HI HOW ARE YOU. I NEED TO KNOW IF YOU CAN HELP. I HAVE HWH HYDRAULIC SYSTEM ON OLD RV . THE LEVELING SYSTEM & SLIDE OUT THE SWITCH ONLY DO CLICK . PLEASE LETS ME KNOW . THIS IS MY EMAIL sheeppyramid09@gmail.com
You can not use the same solenoid coils if you change to a 24V motor unless you have 12V control voltage. You would need to change both the solenoid coils to 24V.
This video is demonstrating replacing a 12-volt with a 12-volt motor or 24-volt with 24-volt motor. Thanks.
Question... The motor wants to screw/unscrew itself before moving the carriage. Watched the video. Seems to me we did everything right. Is this how it should function?
Give us a call so we can get more details and troubleshoot with you.
I have a 7 foot deep pool (on about half of the 40 feet wide), I don't want to spend money to have fill in and redo the plaster. Could I install your aluminum dock system with a flip up and give the pool cleaning to do their job. tnx Ed
Thanks for the comment, Ed. Our docks are designed for marine applications. Feel free to get in touch with us if there's a custom project you'd like us to consider.
You
Yes
This will help the wheel turn to lower the boat in water, I didn’t realize that’s what it is to fix this having same problem almost harder to crank boat down then up outa the water
Glad the video helped, Kurtis!
How would that make a difference just curious? And you think it would be the same on all list? Thank you
My new boat lift.
Great choice, Tim!
Good morning sir.
This neither shows how to adjust the cables nor the proper tension for the cables--very unhelpful
Once the bed is lowered, turn your winch wheel until the first sign of tension. From there you can go around to the remaining three corners and, using the nuts on the threaded rods, adjust each corner individually as to match the winch wheel corner’s tension and spacing.
Spot on, Great video! Helped alot. Thank you
You're welcome, Paul!
what specific lubricant are you using for the bushings and chain?
Any chain lube will do the trick!
I'd be very impressed by someone's lifestyle and leisure time if they ever used their lift enough in a lifetime to be wearing out the hydraulic pump... I mean even the worst quality pumps should do 1000 hours of on time. I can't imagine anyone could have the pump running more than 2 hours per year.
So is this a single acting pump or dual? Can you tell me what the pressure is on this pump? I have a 120v and need to install a 12v instead.
Vertical lifts are way better.
The Cantilever has the best mechanical advantage and the least amount of moving parts but it all comes down to water depth and water fluctuation that decides what lift is needed for each installation
Yeah OK I can see that. Another factor is canopy height. On a vertical, I can get the top wall of my Lund up as high as the bottom beam of the canopy where I can keep it dry even in the worse storms. I know canopies main purpose is UV protection. It's a major plus for me since I don't have an auto bilge pump.
Which one is better for lower water depth?
Thanks for the question, Janet! The Cantilever lift can "limbo" lower than the Vertical, by a difference of 3-1/2 inches.
Can anyone from Hewittrolladock contact me i need this accessories for my dock.

hydraulic pump
I have a shore station with a canopy and a blue canopy cover I got my malibu boat out of long lake mich and have a fishing boat and hoist for it
Please list the battery size.
Remotes use different batteries, Your battery should have the size listed on it
I have a 12v pump that is literally exactly like the one you used in this demonstration. Is the solenoid on there in order for the motor to function properly? I'm just not sure exactly what purpose it serves in this application. I guess it should be noted that I'm trying to salvage the motor exclusively, not the pump part, so I can use it in another project.
That is what triggers the power on and off.
which motor r u using
They make this look so easy... would take my husband the entire weekend...lol.
