I work as an electrician, but on the side, I scrap anything that contains copper, brass and aluminum, and then melt some of it.

Thick copper wire goes from trash to treasure - melting copper into ingots
Hey guys.
Today I'm melting some copper I got on a construction site I went to for 14 days in August.
I thought it might be fun to make a commemorative ingot.
I'm probably going to remelt this ingot because it's really ugly and it's hard to read what I've written on it.
At the same time, I think that in future I will make a commemorative ingot from the construction sites or work places I have been.
In today's video there are also a few aluminum ingots, they are from a smelting I did the day before, from all the slag I have had from previous smelting.

Hey guys.. I have brought home a 3 meter long bus bar because my colleagues want to know how much aluminum is in it. I keep the sandwich and melt it. In today's video I melt the aluminum shell and foot from 3 Apple iMacs. It took me almost 1 hour to cut the aluminum from the shell so it was ready to be melted. I have received about 40 CEE plugs, which had to be thrown away because they are missing screws, so you cannot mount the wires to the plugs. Lucky for me, because then I could make a few nice ingots. The simple answer is, No
For a hobby scrapper, I would say Yes. But if that's your day job, I'd say no.

Most of what I know about melting metals I learned from BigStackD, He is also the one who inspired me to make videos. But for the last 20 years I have worked with copper and other scrap metal

Yes I know it. But as a hobby and you have the choice between making no money or a little bit of money. I've scrapped a lot of things that didn't pay off, but I just wanted the copper
