I have a handgun carry permit. Is it the same as enhanced hcp?

I put a Sig Romeo7 and a Sig Juliet4 magnifier on my Typhoon F12. I despise Sig's nomenclature on these products...LOL. I've ran approx. 300 rounds with no issues and love this setup. I needed the magnifier because I like shooting slugs out to distance and my eyes are crap. 300 rounds doesn't sound like much but I shoot the Black Aces Tactical 12 ga slugs @ 1640 FPS - these rounds pack one heck of a punch and are so much fun to shoot (guys at the range hate me because I put the Typhoon muzzle brake on the F12...lol)! Holosun 507c will stand up to 12ga recoil. They cost about 310.00. I’ve tried a few sub 100 dollar optics over the years, the only one that has held up is a Bushnell 4x scope I’ve had on my 10/22 for over 30 years. I paid about 25 bucks for it. 😊

12 ga pump, possibly with multiple interchangeable barrels. A concealable pistol or revolver would be #2, IMO. YMMV!

Bushnell was not a bad scope at least years ago. Had the 1.3x Phantom pistol scope mounted on my Ruger 22 auto pistol for rabbit hunting. Moved it to my Ruger .357 Blackhawk for coyote and never thought about it maintaining it's construction or setting. That was the old days. Did your cheap red dot have a warranty? At that price I assume 90 days at best.🤣 In 2018 I bought a Vortex Venom red dot for way too much at $230 😩 for my XDM competition 9 mm pistol. Is a very low profile sight with the battery and all adjustments within easy reach. Only problem was a short battery life. Lifetime warranty, but they do not make anymore!

Mark, I’m pretty price sensitive too, but I think $150 is the bottom end. So I have optics from Primary Arms, Swamp Fox, Holosun, Sig Sauer, and Gideon optics. I’m very happy with all of them, they are usually in the 150-250 range, which means motion detected on, to me a must have. So my opinion is bottom end pricing is 150, and I just bought a sig Romeo 5xdr for 149, awesome value. All of these can withstand a shotgun recoil, I know because I use some of them on my shotguns.

Try the SIG Sauer Romeo. Great red dot 130.00 around or less on sale. God bless.

you may be able to go cheaper with a 22lr. Shotgun is way too much recoil for a cheap red dot. I love Burris scopes and Vortex Red Dots. I have done well on both.

I have one of those my son gave me because it was intermittent. I have a Sig Sauer Romeo 2 that is really nice. Also, have extra batteries where you know where they are.

Since moving to Idaho(from Commiefornia)I’ve bought five handguns and five long arms in a five year time. Most are what you have recommended. I have two shot guns a Mossberg pump(sits in the safe) and a bull pup, it sits next to my bed. Love living Idaho!

my Ruger Standard, MKI, MKII, and MKIII and my SR-22 all work great, many 1000's of rounds. the SS MKII did not like bulk Remmington. My Children and Grean Children now have the MK1s and MKIIs. The MKI long barrel was the second gun I ever owned, 1979, it still works well as my family shoot together and go to church together.

When one is retired NOTHING is affordable……… but I pick up a box or two of handgun ammo. If I find a “good price” on 6.5 creedmore, 7 mm Rem mag, 270 win or 30-30 win I’ll get a box. It’s hard to get 500 rounds of long arm ammo when you only get paid once a month….

Shotguns have their place as effective breach/ anti-breach weapons. BUT... if a home invader(s) has already gained entry, you risk injuring family or having to defer shots to avoid injury to loved ones. The shot spread is just too wide. It'll clear a hallway, yeah... But unless you know EXACTLY where every family member is located when the chaos erupts, or WHERE their fear will possibly displace them, then you need to use a different option. Just my humble 2 cents. Scared people can do unpredictable things.... like move to different sources of cover outside of your view.

I read an article about this subject years ago. A National Park Deputy or Ranger was patrolling on a mountain trail while horseback riding. He rounded a curve on the trail and was immediately in the presence of a large Bigfoot. He quickly shouldered his rifle and shot at the creature. His testimony stated that it disappeared in a blinding flash of light. He said he was dumbfounded at the experience of what happened. Around this time in my researching these creatures there were other testimony's that Bigfoot creatures were associated with UFO phenomena along with the putrid smell. It seems that Bigfoot is interdimensional and is more associated with demonic activity. I believe the name of Jesus Christ is probably the most effective weapon against fallen angels and Nephilim creatures that jump into and out of our earthly dimension. Still in all having a weapon of sufficient caliber would be the most prudent tool to have when you're in some remote forest. It's also true that Bigfoot and similar cryptids seem to defy the physics of documenting them using film equipment. One fellow joked in a comment that Bigfoot is always blurry while being in our human visible spectrum of light. That maybe truer as a fact than we would believe.

A simple solution is to save up to get something like a Taurus g2c or a ruger lcp or even a hi point, I just found a ruger lcp on sale for 179$ a inexpensive gun that is reliable and will go bang every time. Its not worth selling an inexpensive handgun because you'll hardly get any money for it, Keep it and protect you and your family. Consider it life insurance. If you dont have a gun to protect yourself and your family then you're vulnerable.

I'm thinking of selling my Winchester 1944 M1 Garand along with 500 rounds of ammo and ammo can and a bunch of accessories to boot $2500 dollars or best offer and if I don't sell it at my price I'll keep it for it'll keep going up in value !!

Please someone help me. I was caught in a sort of addiction with selling/trading guns. Stemmed from a couple years ago. I have owned so many pistols, all of the popular micro pistols including the p365, shield plus, hellcat, glock 43x, glock 48...I began to get broke financialy so I sold some and traded others for cheaper guns. I was in the gun store about once a week trading and downgrading to make some cash and still have a cheap gun. I am now left with a springfield XD subcompact 9. Thats the only gun that I own. I want to slowly build back up. I am working overtime to buy a canik mc9 mete next week. How can I stop selling when i'm in a pinch?

I am 63 years old. I have been a gunsmith in the past. I have NEVER owned any .22lr semi auto that jammed. The reason I believe is that I NEVER fed it trash ammo. They always got CCI amino Mags or better. No Winchester. No Remington, which is THE WORST ammo you can put in a semi auto. It has the dirtiest burning powder there is. It’s awful. But folks buy more of it because it’s cheap. You buy a $400 gun and feed it .02 ammo, it’s going to shoot like a 2 cent gun. Just sayin. I’ve owned kore than many and have never had a single issue with one other than not meeting my accuracy standards.

I bought a used Mark IV 22/45 Tactical and have put 750 rounds through it with zero issues. I have run some cheap 22lr through it too. Also, have a Walther P22Q with over 1100 rounds through it. Only time I had an issue with it was when I let it get really dirty and it had a failure to eject. Did a quick wipeout with a rag and went right back top shooting it with no issues.

Got a Smith 4422 in 1978. Never failed in any way, although shotshells are not recommended. The shells failed to eject.
