We were fortunate enough to be upgraded to a suite with a jacuzzi on the balcony. This is a very unique attribute of this hotel; I've never seen any other ski resort property with private outdoor jacuzzies within the rooms themselves.
Music featured in this video:
1. Serenade for Strings in E Major Op. 22 - Antonín Dvořák

Thank you for documenting
Forgive me if I'm being rude, but how can the current 4 Seasons be the "Predecessor" of "The Old" 4 Seasons property ? (1:20)
Not rude at all, I'm more than happy to answer your question! The Four Seasons Toronto used to be hosted in a much older building. About 11 years ago, the old building was too outdated to continue living up to the Four Seasons' standards, so it became a condominium, and soon after, the Four Seasons Toronto moved into a newer, nicer building, which is the "predecessor" featured in this video.
@@DogTravels Thank you for the reply. I enjoyed the video.
What’s type of room? Thank you😊
This was a standard room, which they label as a "Guest Room" on their website.

what a lobby. thanks!
glad you enjoyed the video!
This is so bad 😂
I'm sorry my video wasn't up to your standards. Would you like to share any feedback for how I can improve in the future?
Just flew "The Room" on March 30 from NRT to SFO. I am 6'4" and was a bit uncomfortable. There is no way to truly stretch out. Also, I don't understand the positive reviews for ANA business class food service. It was presented like economy class (except for the silverware) and generally flavorless. I completely skipped the second service before arrival to SFO. The only decent food on my whole trip from Saigon to San Francisco was at the ANA lounge in Narita (chicken karaage). I flew the Qatar Q-Suite in December and that was slightly more comfortable. The food on Qatar was very good!
The footwell could certainly be quite a bit deeper, but I managed to sleep diagonally which was easy for me because I'm a side sleeper and I'm pretty skinny, increasing my legroom by quite the margin. Regarding the food situation, I will say that I encountered a similar experience on the leg back to SFO from HND, which I didn't mention in this video because it's redundant to film both legs. It's quite strange, but after flying into and out of SFO for about a decade now on multiple airlines, I've noticed that catering out of SFO is always pretty decent. In ANA's case, it appears that SFO's catering is better than their own catering in Japan. The food on the SFO - HND leg (filmed in this video) was exceptional! Seriously some of (if not) the best food I've had in the skies. The food on the leg back, not so much. Perhaps I should've mentioned this in my review but I didn't have the HND - SFO leg's footage. Thanks for your input!
The problem is you’re 6’4, you don’t even fit 1st class of any airline, except for those most expensive 20k first class flight.
I fly ANA RT from SFO/LAX to NRT/HND 4 times a year. I have never once been given a meal in business class that was the same as the economy offerings, or close to economy offerings. The red eye flights don't have a full meal service, but that's because they are red eye flights. I'm 5'11, and the new hard product is amazing.
@@pgsanta Try Qatar business class and you'll see the difference in quality.
@@JeffKoutz What makes you think I haven't flown Q suite before? It's a joke to suggest there's a big difference in the quality of anything between them. They each have their little things going for them, like Q suite being slightly more plush, while The Room offering more space. I would probably still place Q suite as the overall better product, but only by a hair, and it doesn't really matter if Qatar doesn't service the route you need to take.
I would love to tour all the great Four Seasons hotels around the world one day. One after the other. The founder Isadore Sharpe is an exemplary Canadian and hotelier!

do you know if four seasons provide the access plan to its amenities? I am moving to the neighbour around the area, love the pools and outdoors you shared!
I agree, their amenities are certainly some of the nicest in the area! Unfortunately, as far as I know, they don't do memberships. From my experience, Four Seasons properties, as do most hotel chains, restrict their amenities to their own guests and property residents. Have fun with your move! I'm sure you'll love the area!

oh yeah thats one of my many properties. i own the whole thing

Very useful review. Thx.
Glad you liked it!
Nice video!! Height restriction was why they couldn't build the hotel in Bevery Hills. Plus, the Cohens owned the property (whole block) on the Los Angeles side of Doheny Drive, after having started out owning a florist shop there. The hotel has gorgeous flower arraignments because of this. Jeff Leatham started there. The Cohens live/lived in the penthouse and also John Wayne's old house in Newport Beach. Mr. Cohen recently passed away in 2023, at 92 I believe. RIP. I worked there for 12 years. : ) The wardrobe closet is big 'cause it's LA; clothes, be seen! It wasn't built as a Four Seasons, Marriot was initial idea I think, but Four Seasons acquired the management.
Thanks for letting me know!
Compared to the JW which is better
Although I haven't stayed at the JW, if I had a choice, I'd probably go with the JW.

Thank you very much, glad you enjoyed the video!
I'm sorry but the music in this is so obnoxious and it doesn't fit. I couldn't finish the video.
The music in this video is a reference to United's theme song, Rhapsody In Blue, which is a piece composed by George Gershwin in 1924. As I grew up and as I flew United on more and more trips between Europe and the United States, I began to grow more and more curious about the piece in United's safety videos until I finally discovered the name of the piece (and proceeded to listen to it thousands of times). My love for this piece and the fact that this review was on United Airlines led me to utilize this piece for this review. Although I appreciate your feedback, I do not plan on making any changes to this video because (1) it fits the review in the sense that this has been United's flagship theme song for decades and (2) the piece has a special place in my heart because I quite literally grew up with it. I am saddened that you do not share the same joy that I do for this piece, but I do encourage you to finish the rest of the video. If the music is so "intolerable", you have the option to mute the video's audio whilst still watching the review. You can even listen to your own music that you deem fit while watching the video if you think it'll help you enjoy it more.

It’s a great lounge. This has been the first Centurion lounge I have been to and all I can say is that it’s well worth paying the annual fee to get the experience like this.
Thank you for being truthful about your ratings, I've only seen videos of St.Regis that make it look perfect all the time....For a vacation to be this expensive, it needs to be expectedly nice... Was anything said about a future renovation of the villas?
Glad you enjoyed it! As far as I know, they don't have any plans to renovate the villas. They're very nice (and the largest in the entirety of Bora Bora), but there definitely are some minor maintenance issues. For instance, the door between the living room and bedroom couldn't close properly and the glass door in the living room connecting to the outside patio couldn't lock properly. The light that was supposed to illuminate the water was also broken, but to be fair, these were the only main issues with the room, and they weren't that big of a deal. Another main issue was the service. It wasn't bad by any means, but it wasn't "amazing" as many reviews claim it is. The best way to describe it is that it felt "scripted." Sure, the butlers would visit you in the restaurant some mornings, but they're really just there to tell you "if there's anything I can do for you, feel free to let me know." It's all sort of a charade. It's always the same, and it always felt scripted. I've experienced much better and personalized service at properties within the United States, which are at a lower caliber than what you would expect from a property at Bora Bora. For instance, the service at the St. Regis Deer Valley (I made a video on this if you're interested in checking it out) felt very natural, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasurable as possible. Again, the service wasn't bad, but it felt average, especially for a resort at this price range and caliber. However, one exception was housekeeping. She was very obviously a local (as opposed to most of the other staff who appeared to be from France) and she delivered some of the friendliest service we've experienced to date. Every afternoon she'd come over to our villa with an incredible enthusiastic attitude. In most hotels, we tend to temporarily leave our room to make room for housekeeping, but she insisted otherwise and said, "Don't be shy guys! Come on in!" She was the highlight of the trip. But across the board, we felt that service was definitely lacking. However, I can't necessarily say that this issue is completely isolated to the St. Regis. There have been reviews (from reputable reviewers) on properties like the Four Seasons which have reported similar short-fallings in service level. My best theory is that Covid severely impacted the service level in Bora Bora as a whole. Personally, I'd suggest that you steer clear of Bora Bora for the time being.
