MBD is not known as the king of music for no reason . It is pretty evident this guy can sing and give showmanship like no-one ever has before . I mean just listen for yourself , hit after hit and laying a wake of people super happy and dancing and feeling good in the most wholesome of ways .

What "Mormon colonialism" is that? You do know what colonialism is, right? The BYU Jerusalem Center is an academic institution, nothing else.
Honestly, MBD should retract this song. Every Yid would admit that a song bashing the Pope (as an example) would be a chilul Hashem. If people don't get the historical context, this looks like random Mormon-bashing, and is thus as much a chilul Hashem then a theoretical song bashing the Pope.
Or at least provide a historical context in all future sales of the song, whether in text or him speaking about it before the song comes on.

3:30 As a student who had the privilege of studying in Israel over a semester at the BYU Jerusalem Center (the people MBD says need to run for our lives back to Utah) I have to say it's a shame there are fears and hateful attitudes against other religious groups having any kind of footprint in Israel. I, like everyone who studies at the Jerusalem Center adored every day I spent there and gained a profound respect for Jewish people and traditions.
The song -- which I remember well from my youth growing up in Brooklyn -- is long obsolete. It reflects 1980s paranoia, insecurity, ignorance. Glad your experience in Israel was positive.

This song reminds me when Ed Decker prophesied that the waters of Salt Lake City would rise and swallow up the Mormon Temple if the Mormons would not remove the BYU Jerusalem Center. Fun fun. It's a catchy song but still, nevertheless, anti-Mormon propaganda.
