From what I have been reading, is that New Worlds problem is the little drops they have dont since release. However I have also ready the combat system and pvp in New world is definitely better, but TAL has more pvp modes. IF new world makes a flip and starts releasing content more consistently, then new world 100% seems like the answer.

No matter you are familiar with Chinese Mythology or not, no matter you like this type of game or not, you can't deny the Chinese developers put sheer amount of work in game play, sceneries, art work, music and representation of the myth. This might be the best look & feel of a game out of the box. Absolute respect!

I always thought New World was mid.. Throne and Liberty's time based daily event system making peak hour very important and damn near unmissable is a big turn off for me as I have a life. Leaning toward TnL but quite possibly going to stick with neither.

New World has a track record of garbage management, wasted potential and completely ignoring it's playerbase. They've run out of chances with the PC crowd and a console lunch will not change how tone death they are. It's more of a last milking attempt then anything else imo. NCsoft on the other hand has a bad background when it comes to monetization (P2W Elements) but at least the they seem to be trying hard to change the gameplay to suit the players taste (see the latest combat update in KR). That said, TL is a PvP focused game. If you're a PvE only player, it wont suit you.

Gorgeous? Are we watching the same gameplay? This game looks so meh I can't even begin to describe it. It's so slow, sluggish, and floaty. The animations are stiff and the combat looks uninspired.

You talked about throwing your pawn to reach a chest you couldn't reach.Did you know if you have a mage with levitate skill you can just look at it and hit go a couple of times and the pawn will go get it? Pretty cool,I have been enjoying this game alot

Definitely found the game rather boring after a while myself tbh. The game is (to me) just a glorified walking simulator. With some combat, combat against the same dang monsters over and over and oooover again. Oh and more walking. And some more walking. This game, for ME at least, would've been way more fun and less annoying if we had a mount of sorts. Yes there are oxcarts, but those are borderline crap anyway. Yes you can use portcrystals and ferrystones. But it takes a good while until you get even ONE portcrystal. I do enjoy exploring usually. Heck I even platinumed Death Stranding, and that is literally a walking simulator. DD2 at least has some combat to mix things up, but even the combat grew stale for me after a while, due to the lack of enemy variety. Sure you can change your 'class' to switch things around a bit. Doesnt matter, you still walk, walk, fight the millionth goblin...walk...walk..walk some more...some harpys...walk walk...an ogre, cool.. an hour later..oh another ogre, kinda made the previous fight feel less special as I keep having the same fights over and over. And more walking. Finally at my destination. What's that, the quest asks me to kill some monsters? Ok, fine. There, killed the monsters. Now what? Oh time to go back to the town I came from. SIGH. walk..walk..goblins...walk..harpys...walk walk..walk...oh a griffin, now we're talking, didnt fight one of those on the way here..just fifty times earlier today... walk walk.. walk some more. Fortunately next quest takes me to a town that's connected thru oxcarts, thank god. Pay a tiny sum for the oxcart. Gets ambushed not even halfway there. Cart gets destroyed. I managed to survive though so..yay. But look at that, time to WALK again..with a sprinkle of running now and then. So much for 'fast travel' with the oxcart. It's. effing. BORING. Oh, in the bigger city.. framerates crawl down to some shitty console version of the game even on the PC. Console peasants might be used to 20-30 fps, but that's no way to play a SINGLEplayer game. Some fights are fun, but then your pawn(s) decided to have a brainfart, and walk right over the cliffedge and fall to their death. Great.. Oh what's that, we're getting attacked, then why the Fudge is 2 of the pawns just standing there, doing NOTHING? At least the pawns are really smart *sometimes* even impressing me. But for ever 10 dumb sh-t they do, they do 1 remarkable thing. Everything they added as MTX is stuff you can get in-game, that is true. I still kinda agree with the crap Capcom had to take for HIDING the mtx from reviewers. That's a literal lie, or omission of the truth. And it's pretty apparent that certain things you can buy for REAL money, are stuff they have intentionally made RARE in the game. You dont bathe in portcrystal etc, I think there's like a total of 6 MAX you can find in the entire game. Considering the boring walking simulator it is, unreliant oxcarts, and NO mounts, portcrystal and ferrystones are the only 'good' way to travel (if you dont want to explore at the moment but rather want to finish the damn quest), yet the map is too big, and never allows you to take the straight line to your destination. For example, a walk from Vermouth or w/e the city is called, to Melve. It could've been a fine trek if you could just crossed the map in a somewhat straight line. But can you? oh no, you take the sightseeing tour thats at least triple the length, that's the only effing way to get there. Even Elden Ring and most other open world games gives you a bleeping mount. So Capcom was scummy from the get-go. Literally lying. Then throwing in mtx with the game's release. And the whole debate of "but you can earn those things in-game" is rather pointless. As most things are still not bountiful and rather hard to get. By hard/difficult I mean, it's suspiciously difficult, almost as if they want it that way to sort of ...you know...tempt you to just open your wallet and buy it with real money. The classic tactic, let it be available in-game so no one can whine about it, but pssst...let's make it rather difficult to get, so people just say "f-ck it, lets pay $2-5 to get one". For a $70 game. For that price you should have access to whatever. It's not even story related or art-related to make things harder to get. It's ONLY to tempt you into giving them more IRL money. This is a company people want to protect and support? Bloody idi-ts. Having fun with the game? Well good for you. You're still part of the problem and reason for the gaming industry being what it is. By giving at least $70 to a lying scummy company just because it pleases YOU. Imagine if gamers started to look further into the future instead of just to the tip of their nose. See how many games have MTX today? How do you think today's games would look like in that regard, if 5+ years ago no one bought a single mtx nor a game containing it? We wouldn't have any mtx today. But thanks to people supporting these greedy companies, AND buying mtx, they'll keep pushing the limit. Before you know it, you will soon have to pay REAL money every time you want to SAVE in *YOUR* game. And every loading screen will be an AD, not tips, but AD for some effing IRL products. Imagine giving your kids a game to play, they play it, and poof, an ad for Tampons. Sounds silly and farfetched? Just you wait. This is the future we'll have in games, thanks to the morons supporting it. Remember how the older generation told us how playing videogames will cause your brain to rot? We shrug it off as "meh, u dont know whatcha talkin about grandpa". Well... one might actually wonder if they weren't right after all. Because that's the only reason I can see why so many gamers are literally Idiots. Look at the old FIFA games from EA. Their golden goose is ultimate team, not the actual base game. Why? Because that's where you find the MTX. People spend thousands of dollars on ultimate team. Which means EA will try to keep that going as long as possible, because admit it, if you were EA you would too. And this is why more and more games have and will have MTX. Because gamers keep supporting this tactic. Then they whine online how buggy and monetized a game is. But it's your effing fault, not the developer/publisher. They're just taking advantage of whatever you allow them to get away with. Hence my point earlier, if we said NO to MTX 6+ years ago, we wouldn't have it today. But..I digress. Best way to have fun with Dragon's Dogma 2, if you play on PC, there's a shortcut to give you a much more fun time, it's the combination of ALT+F4. Trust me, that will give you a much more fun day.
