So I go to Redhill and try to buy this knife. $79 with free shipping. I put in the code for Redhill and they give me the discount but then charge me $7.00 for shipping. Kinda defeats the purpose of the discount code lol. So I passed on the knife.

Yeah Small Summer... I like it. I carry a small traditional knife plus a full size lock blade. That little pen blade with the swedging... so good.

Glad I found your review as this one flew under my radar. Saw it on a Finnish website. I have nothing against quality Chinese knives when they are available at such low prices. I'm one that dislikes swedges because I use my knives. Swedging is painful on the thumbs when whittling using common techniques. Swedged 'whittlers' are only for fashion vs function.

My brother John cowboyed for years. One of the few things he left behind was a Buck 501. Blade had been broken off and reshaped over the years. I did not even recognize it was micarta until just before watching this video. He used it hard, hammer marks on the pommel and the handle is worn smooth, not polished. The blade is still sharp almost 30 years later. Ill clean it up and and keep it sharp. Thanks for sharing.
