Sling Finger Boom By IACO!
Lately I’ve seen several pictures of Pivots using the Senninger Truss Rod Hose Sling with a 125° Elbow or Double Elbow. The problem is at the Towers and on the Overhang. We manufacture the Sling Finger Boom: a simple and inexpensive fix. The Sling Finger Boom uses 125° Elbows and Truss Rod Hose Slings to separate the sprinklers at the Tower and Overhang to match the widest spread at the middle of the span. Problem solved!

Could you use less guns by eliminating the ones along the border of the field since they turn 360 degrees? By doing so 12 instead of 24 could be used per 20 acres. Also, you are using the Nelson 100. The Nelson 250 advertises a 360' range. Lets say you want some overlap and you want to account for windy days then assume 300' range. This is twice the range of the guns in the video. Therefore, 6 guns should cover the 20 acres, 12 per 40 acres, 18 per 60 acres, 24 per 80 acres and 30 per 100 acres and 60 per 200 acres. If each gun is permanently installed in the ground and the pipe run 3' deep to each gun and a well that could power 2 guns at a time then you would have a system with a fraction of the repair and maintenance cost per year than a pivot. Tell me where I am wrong hear please.

Do you have any of these in South Georgia, USA? Commercial or research? Georgia has more pivots than any other USA state except for Texas. Many fields down here have runoff problems, crusting problems, and soils are sandy.
