Thanks for watching. This painting session is about painting water, sky, clouds and boats, on location, 'en plein air'. Of course, 10 minutes can only show an impression, the actual painting time would be 3 to 4 hours. I rather avoid YT's ads so I am now trying to keep it within the 10 minutes. Soon I'll have a snow-painting episode! Watch full demos and more info via the links here: ☼ This Vid...

This painting session is about how I paint cows from life. Cows move! That's perhaps the biggest reason to START painting the cows first, if you see them and they stand/lay just PERFECT : ) From there, ups & downs, just get something 'done'! Painting A Seascape & Insecurity - Scenes 03 Roos Schuring
zhlédnutí 3,8KPřed 3 lety
This video is about Painting a Seascape, how we often can't judge the end-result right away, leaving you in doubt, insecure. The thing is to take distance, to not get carried away in this feeling, but to -at one point- leave it alone, and to let it go, focus on the next. We cannot incorporate all ideas into 1 painting. Just by trying you will succeed. And within the bulk of tries, you'll find y...
Painting A Grey Moment - Boat in Rain - Scenes 02 Roos Schuring

Hi! Great you're here. Here's Vlog #2 about painting a dark moment, half in rain, and painting that hyper sunlit boat in the midst of all these wonderful dark grey colors. It can be good to experiment in painting in all darks or all lights. Of course, do it outdoors! I think outdoor painting is easier. And there is so much to paint being in nature. Thanks for watching! Hi! Great you're here. This (first!) episode of 'Scenes behind the paintings' was long due, I have been filming these for a long time! Now that this first one is finally published more will follow. A Sunset Moment is about how we'll just need to dive in and within this moment of 'sheer haste', there will be chaos. Push through and get something on canvas. That should be the mission, nothing els...

That’s incredible, so far beyond my comprehension
and my ability....I always sucked at art no matter how hard I tried.

Impressive light, great painting! Waiting for more shorts and videos!
Thanks! I dabble with insta and tikfok, but will think of it, thanks
I think many would enjoy watching you painting in a long unedited raw video without cut and explanations. Just working process on canvas, fixing mistakes... It is like DIY videos are very popular, people watch for hours building construction, car repair etc. And watching a plein air artist working is probably the most attractive.
@@michaelmowe9185 thanks and yes, I do sell demos like that, and if youtube had fair algos for people who speak truth I would place these here for watchtime alone. But YT is f-ing with anything I do, so..
Wow. Loving the colours and textures in this one. The close-up was nice to see the details.
Hello dear! nice and impressive work. kindly tell me what is use of mirror in your paintings ? waiting for your reply.
Seeing your painting horizontally mirrored gives a 'more objective' view on it!
wonderful wonderful Roos!
😘
Lovely. Your skies are always beautiful.
Lovely!!❤
"Paint outdoors people". Best advice ever, and part of why your paintings are so good.
Very true, indoors I certainly cannot create lively landscapes and such, you can do 'still lifes' from life indoors, but most of us start indoors, and then stepping out, a new (painterly) world opens✨✨
So much energy Rose!! Beautiful.
I love it, Roos - thank you for another good video.
Wow David thanks. I'm a big fan of you and fam vids. So that's a happy dance seeing this comment😃🤗HUGS
Thankyou
This is lovely Rose! What is this beautiful location and where is it? The colors... oh my goodness! How do you know a painting has "failed"? (Referring to Your comment about the two failed previous paintings)
Thanks Mel! This is Zeeland/holland, 'failed' is always some form (elements) of imbalance, creating non-harmonic 😃
Roos, another great beach session accomplished. Very inspiring as always. I did my 3 happy hours this morning /wasn't bloody hot, down here is scorching heat/before lightning and thunder chased me home.
Must have been beautiful to look at! Those beautiful skies! Good for you. Yes here you can see on weather radar England is using freq to make it rain here: so the other side of the world stays hot. I think they're really trying to make 'climate change' seem real. The stories sure help. Anyways, it's Summer, it's hot. But here it's coolish. Good. Less watering. 😘😄
Great to know your working again Roos ! We made it through the "pandemic lies" ,Thanks for your uploads at that time, very reassuring . Also the links to channels you followed, i am also following some of them . I haven't put brush to canvas for some time ,i retired from the art business last year . love your paintings ,your inner self has kept you and your creativity strong ! lots of love! 🙂 !
Yes, pick up the brush, but paint outside! That's feeding the soul. I hope you'll start it again. The whole distractions-play is a waste of time. For both sides(!) Just focus on what's good: nature, what's real: nature. That's what I do. This game is rigged😂😂
@@PaintingVideos Nature is the answer to everything they throw at us, its what they hate ! I'm enjoying growing food and having time to be myself not what the system expects of me. I feel blessed to have been awake to see what they were trying to do, and want to do. Unfortunately my wife and son wouldn't listen and took the shots. I retired as i have to care for my wife as she is no longer able to do very much for herself . Life is a test , but remember to smell the roses along the way . Maybe its true, " we chose to be here for this time 👍? The game is certainly rigged !
@@spatewater it must be difficult having close family not seeing the same. Yes I know. We either drew the long straw: playing 'for the good side' or we're perhaps 'graduating' or somehow uplifting the people for the new (good) times. Yes 'they' will do everything to stop this natural evolution but they'll find nothing can change nature because nature is the ruler of all. Dark and light. It's common sense that got lost for many people. They've cut ties with it somehow. But the spell will fall away. And we'll just live life the best we can. Paint spatewater!!!
I love it 👍🌹
Thanks!
Its all there, that's how it goes ,beautyfull chaos when things move...
You no post vids anymore?
All in due time. Busy
Like your style of painting and color use. Would like to see more of you actually painting though. Thanks
Beautiful strong colors! Thank you for sharing, I am learning a lot from you. I have noticed the end result is always darker when the palette and canvas is exposed to the sun.
Yes, that's right, so you can play with mixing a tad lighter, and to keep colors vibrant, omit blacks. Thanks!
Thank you Roos, happy holidays ...
You too!💐thanks
I find it interesting that you put in a yellow/orange underpainting because I would think that your sky, with its heavy impasto, would be totally opaque. It's all part of the process, I guess. Another fabulous painting -- thank you!
Yes everything counts! You can be experimental in these first layers too, in finding new combinations, new end-results. Thanks Susan!
Thank you! I really like your colors and your harmonious and colorful paintings. Why two or three yellows? Isnt it possible to mix warmer yellow with Quinacridone?
Yes, we could do with 5 tubes max. Though it's good to have some great colors pre-mixed: straight from the tube, dark cad yellow is such a mix. Saves time
@@PaintingVideos I came to transparent Cadmium Yellow Deep Hue by daler-rowney (georgian number 618, pigments PY83/PY3) - it remains warm mixed with white and still yellowish in extreme white mix. The yellow I use to mix my browns and greys and everything else is transparent Lemon Yellow (pigment PY3) by daler-rowney georgian number 651. This yellows are not so dull like original opaque cadmium and are not so agressive with blues. Maybe later I will switch to some premixed greys, but at the moment to mix a lot of cheap colors without fear is in my opinion way to go. Instead of expensive sevres blue I use cheap phtaloblue mixed with white. This pigment PB15 is so strong that the quality doesnt matter.
大胆的色彩和生动的笔触,构成了如此有感染力的画面,太棒了!

Great to see this again after so long! Good description of what goes on inside the head. Would love to see video of actual paint mixing and application: how do you avoid getting muddy colors? How much thinner do you use. What medium if any? Thanks!
Thanks Mel! Yes, I do offer full demos and courses for that. No mediums if that helps! Hugs!

Roos you are a master artist I love your artwork I've found you again subscribed 💜
Thanks Deborah!
Very good
Thank you!
I used to go down and paint by the river. My favorite beach was a 20 minute walk through a mixed forest of old and new growth. I'd hide my wet canvasses in a hollow Sycamore that a horse could seek shelter in. A small person could fit through the rolling edged crack at waist height, like a window. No one ever messed with them. lol.
Lol! Treasures! Paint there again Jeremiah
@@PaintingVideos I've got 2 100 yard rolls of canvas growing dust and spiders hunched in a corner, actually! A 72"-er and a 60 incher. I'll invest in paint as soon as I can. I've been trying. A broken school iPad here, a car there...A drizzle of gasoline here and there. Expenses leave me dreaming, alas. Becoming a widower dad of 3-month old twins slowed me down. 🤣 I've had more fun, I betcha!
That is sad. But perhaps there is something near. The sunrise. Trees. Yes, perhaps people should relocate, out of the city. While you still can. But perhaps you are already living near 'landscape'. I hope so. Good luck to you!
