Great video. Love hearing your thoughts. James sounds great but mabye all the talking humanizes him a bit too much? He's SUCH a weirdo in the original and that really added to the story for me.

Now for some reason this gives me vibes of it's combat like no more heroes but honestly this looks kinda cool. Hope to pick this up. The combat alone is enough for me to want to try it out. Props on mentioning playing amazingly on steamdeck!

I'm losing a lot of faith I once had for this to be a faithful remake. The fact that they thought it necessary to consult with an outside firm on how to handle the psychological trauma the game heavily dives into tells me it's gonna be watered down, if not censored. It's not gonna be a day 1 purchase for me if at all.

I get it. We all want to give this poor, wheelchair bound series another go at running a marathon it came 4th in. We'll try one more time, maybe it can sell more than SH1 thanks to platform parody, advertisement and easy of access. I'll watch from the building across. I won't hold my breath. I would tend to agree on your points about SH Silent Message and them just trying things. Cause when you try things and fail, you can at least see what works and what doesn't, and with that game it's very clear what works. Incredible environmental design and pretty interesting monster designs. Kick the monumentally juvenile writing to the curb in favor of actual deep, emotional, and adult writing again. The whole "whoa I'm super depressed cause some meanies at school called me a poopy-head" writing just uh.... doesn't really do it for me, lmfao.

I'm still pretty hyped for the game tbh. Just being able to experience the SH2 universe with like RE2 remake style gameplay and graphical fidelity just looks sick. If it turns out to be a turd, it's not like the original game is just gone forever, so there's that lol.

Maria looks wrong, she's supposed to be seductive, mysterious and a little menacing. We get nothing like that in the remake, she's bland. Angela looks like she's having an allergic reaction to something. Also: James is far too expressive and emotional, he should have a deadpan look.

They should REALLY remake it. They improved the environment, but everything else looks badly dated.

My heart sunk when finding out that the DEI consultation studio Hit Detection was included for narrative on Silent Hill 2 Ngl Ive been pretty stigmatized when it comes to current day DEI narrative consultation, it just cries out foreboding character incompetency and the constipation of thought-provoking subjects just to walk on proverbial eggshells or check a few "diversity" boxes on their corpo list.

OMG, someone who shares my thought on the Homecoming combat, wow.

"Games used to be like this." I watched hours of reviews and stream about this game, some talking negatively and other positively about it, and none ever managed to sell me on the title. You had to come with your propaganda skills and make me interested in it, right ? You sold me on the fact it's full of charm, cringe humor and jank. I'm glad eurojank is no longer alone in the market. You'd have to also look up Chinese titles, I'm sure you'll discover treasure troves like I did. They're really coming up with interesting titles that aren't all about beautiful dudes flying around with slim swords, promise.

I'm sorry, but after watching that horrific state of play, i don't wish to play a part in modern games made for a 1% demographic audience (AKA, Modern Audience).

Got it for £3 on cd keys so at that price im sure it will be good 😂

The remake to silent hill has really made me dislike the so called fans of it. You can't make em happy. You wanted more silent hill so they gave you a free game. You didn't like it and then ask for more silent hill. The franchise was better when it had a very little fan base.

Got Wanted Dead when it came out and I liked it. Glad the dev didn't abandon their game, so, I'll have to replay it. Hoping we get a story expansion dlc as that ending left me wanting more.

To this day, I still haven't figured out what hipster tomato paste is supposed to be.

It felt like a just OK Nintendo switch games. I think it wasn't too good or bad but omg the cut seens.

Fall in love in this game after while beating in on PC and right after that rushed to buy PS4 physical copy :D Also that motivated me to beat Devil's Third on emulator and it was a blast too

People having high hopes for a Konami product is crazy. Did you forget the SH HD Collection? Or the fact every single game that came after The Room suck major ass?
