1993 i have seen Suicidal Tendencies as an opening Act for Metallica in Switzerland and i immediately thought, he would be a perfect match with Metallica.

I remember this back in the day. A lot of good bass players tried out. Trujillo’s just made it look easy and fun. Metallica’s cross country tour was cool too. Especially when they were stopping off at fan’s home’s and jamming with them. It was cool as hell.

We was the obvious choice right outta the gates. He fits like a glove.

Anyone else think it was an scuzzy, arsehole thing for Metallica to film bassists trying out, and then put the unsuccessful auditions on a global movie to make it more interesting? Including some sideways disparaging comments about the losers? What kind of khunts do something like that to fellow musicians auditioning to join them? Did they ask them to mop the toilet, too? This is the jackass Lars&James attitude that drove Jason out, the 'Fq other people, I'm le rock star!' attitude. Just shameful.
