If you're used to hearing it fast, then I can imagine it does sound like "show boating." But you have to remember the tempo wasn't set by Sandra. She doesn't control how fast or slow the song is sung. You realize that, right? Anyway, I think it sounds fine, but that's probably because I'm used to hearing it at this tempo.
