Love this song, so here's a story. Back in the day of MySpace, this song appeared on Damien's page for about a week or two. I listened to it many times, then it disappeared and I presumed it would be on the next album, but no, albums came and went. I searched DJ fan pages, live recording lists, and even once sent a question to Dj via a message board fan question event thingy. 'What ever happened to that song of yours, Lincoln, the one that starts, Lincoln, here's a song for you...?' To which the answer came (along the lines of), 'I've never recorded a song called Lincoln or those lyrics...' I thought I had imagined it, but then many years later, up it pops and it's still brilliant.

Every so often I go listen to the many different versions of this song. I have a family member in fact more than one that deals with clinical depression. I've seen those dark things to send upon them and they don't know what they are either. Every version I've ever heard of this song brings tears to my eyes. I don't know if I'll ever be able to add it to my set list. There are several songs I cannot sing in public because they are too emotional for me. I really do like this cover
