How to change the front break pads in Kia Picanto
Changing the break pads of Kia Picanto is similar to most cars out there. You just remove the wheel and you'll be able to change them yourself instead of hiring a mechanic to change them for you.
It usually takes me 15 mins to change the break pads in one wheel.
Do you change your break pads like this too? Please comment below.

Good to watch. Surprised you didn't push the pistons back through the hole in the caliper. Definitely grease not loctite on bolts? And what torque setting the bolts? 'Tight' just doesn't do it for me. Thanks anyway very helpful.

Tip 1 - Safety First. Never rely on a scissor jack when carrying out any mechanical repairs. They are for changing wheels in an emergency only! You did take the precaution of placing the wheel under the body of the car. Tip 2 - Place a cloth over the brake fluid reservoiir as pushing in the piston of the caliper could force some fluid to squirt out of the breather hole in the reservoir lid. Tip 3 - Push the piston back before removing the old pads by levering against the back of the pad with a screwdriver. Much easier than trying to push back when the caliper has been removed.

Tip Use a G-clamp to push the brake piston in, make life a lot easier.

The next functional illiterate that spellls "brake" as "break" should be forcibly vaccinated, evicted from their mother's basement and be forever banned from the internet.

I would go further still, grease/hot temperature grease where needed, silicon based where needed, for example near rubber damask. The tool for piston cost literally close to nothing, if doing this often or even in a professional way then obviously working with proper quality tools will not only feel better but be worth it, but once a year kind of deal for cars within your family/friend circle a low cost option will do just fine and if they cost so little in this crazy expensive country I am in..?

3:21 that limping dog is in a real need for speed, lol. nice video...might want to use a flat head screw driver to pry out the pads so as not to damage the rotors and surrounding parts.
