Kayaking Caribou on the NF Feather River

Caribou is a section of the NF Feather River upstream of Rock Creek. It does not normally have water in it, but the dam was broken this year and releasing water uncontrolled. The river was moving so quickly that we covered 3 miles in under 20 minutes! It was all fun continuous class III, but with no eddies and nowhere to stop. No swims allowed!
One week in Raja Ampat

These were the best highlights of our trip to Raja Ampat in May 2023. We originally went to Indonesia to dive Komodo and tacked on Raja Ampat as an extra, but I think we ended up liking Raja Ampat even more! Ekkai Maru shipwreck dive in Coron Philippines

Ekkai Maru was a supply ship in the Japanese Navy, and it was sunk by an American torpedo. Highlights of our dive include an air pocket, the hole made by the torpedo, and finding coal in the engine room.
