Yes, you can buy a lot of help for accuracy. That's why people get expensive guns with fancy stocks to help with muscle fatigue and an expensive scope for better range finding. People spend money on tuning guns. Every bit HELPS.
I was watching you shoot Sunday In the competition ,it looks a lot of fun . I have never thought about ft target shooting as I've always been a hunter /pest control ,but it's been on my mind since Sunday and I'm going to look at joining a club very soon ,I think nelson is my best bet as I'm from pontypridd . It was nice to get first hand information about the sport and meet some welcoming people. I was surprised on how many different rifles that were being used and not all of them being hft/ft I think most people are put off because they think they need an expensive rifle to get into the sport , it would be nice to see more of the rifle setup's the high end and lower end of price range

@Interdiction yes first I have to work out the distance of each shot with the scope only then I have to add on what clicks I think is for that range then I have to read the wind and decide shall I aim at it or off to the side and let the wind carry it and I have one chance only out to 55 yards its a skill no matter how much you spend it won't make you a good shooter

What would be amazing is a scopes eye view of how much wind you give by using a scope camera.
I have a few scope cams but hard to fit on my field target set ups as I have to move positions of my set up to make them fit and panic I can't get the same fit back ready for comp 😅
@@TargetFriendly any help in that department would do lovely. Maybe show us your windecator first, maybe how you read natural things too, grass, trees, heat haze etc and where you place your rec before pulling the trigger. I think that would be amazing.

It's the 2010 model so now days there cheap if you mean budget gun as SMK £80 no its not

What’s budget? I collect air rifles but live on a farm.we have 17…the Walther rm8,Artemis p10,zobroia hortitsia we use for pest control…all budget and the zobroia is as accurate at 100 yards as our daystate….and no stock is worth £1000 extra.so I love the budget rifles just as much.fac we go fx impact mk3 at around 80ftlb with a slug liner.accurate at 200 yards …but that’s a different category.👍
I tested the walther rm8 .22 and made a video on my other channel couldn't believe the groups for a budget rifle 110% worth the money
I just bought a budget scope3x10x42e today and zeroed it in ten minutes after fitting to my pathfinder. Beats my £500 pard 008 Hands down for ease of use and it holds zero !!!

Mixed for a shorts discovery scope and its a very good quality image then targets s400 and walther
I mainly use budget airguns and this is real
i love all air rifles its all about the fun and enjoyment
A really good basic comparison of the air rifles and as we know naturally if you get a super expensive one, they are gonna shoot better-they just are. Again at what cost? I have a $200 break barrel that out to 30-35 yards shoots about a one-two ish MOA with a decent scope that I have on it. It’s an old Weaver fine line scope from the 50s and with the right pellets naturally, it does exactly what I need it to do. It’s for taking, a nice afternoon and planking or if the case need be eradication and or food gathering should anything ever like that(SHTF) happen since it’s quiet very very quiet, unlike shooting a rifle or shotgun now my buddies all have the really nice competition and rifles and stuff that had 100 yards they’re just like a regular rifle and they’re just amazing and I want one really really bad but my wife really really does not and so the happy medium was my $200 air rifle break barrel with a 1950s scope I had on it.
Very interesting video, always wondered if you gave a let’s say beginner but capable gun to a good shooter what their score would be compared to with their more expensive gun etc. look forward to seeing more

Great video, thanks. My son and I have just bought a simple spring rifle and shooting happily and accurately on a budget. Weihrauch hw95 and a scope my Dad had lying around. All good so far
I have a Gamo Swarm Whisper Gen 1, with the hump 10 round clip and sub $200, and it is a simple, accurate plinker, eradicater and plain fun air rifle in .177 and I really like it with my old 1950s Weaver 3-9 thin cross hair scope. Anywhere in my back yard-out to 50yrds- is easy hitting. Would I love a really nice $1,000+ rifle? Absolutely. Maybe some day but the accuracy, 1200*fps and fun with this rifle will do just the same as your great rifle for what they are.

I go to my local club (purley chase in the midlands) with my hw100 and a sidewinder scope. Had some decent scores with it. I Really enjoy it .
i started with a HW 100 very good and accurate gun and i am glad your enjoying hopefully see you on the circuit soon
very very nice clip..i am not even close in your balpark ore how you say it in english,,But i do benchrest with a cheap (850 euro effecto zeon)and for me it is spot on at 35 yards (rat hunting) but man what you do your position etc ..thumb's up 👍Can money buy you accuracy. Of course it does..but it does more in very good hands.I can buy a 3500 euro air rifle and afcoarse it will do well (i think) but in good hands with the right tweaks etc it will do way better.

I thought once you set your scope at the beginning of a comp you cant touch it agin till the end of the course?
thats HFT - hunter field target its different and targets only go out to 45 yards

At this moment I need to improve my performance in the wind, and I am think of changing to 10.3. thank you very much, greetings
i use 8.44 i did my home work on both pellets and this was my thoughts on it, the 10.34gr hit that little bit harder so if you split targets they will give you a lot more targets in theory, do they take less wind my opinion no the pellet is bigger and slower in flight so they should move a little more, as the pellet is heavier you have less error for range EXAMPLE a target is 55 yards but you range it at 51yards because of the weight of the pellet more often than not you will miss low, if your using the 8,44gr as they fly faster and so much flatter you would still creep into the kill zone, this is my thoughts on it but on social media everyone as a say if they shoot or not or just read books, i hope this helps in some way keep safe all the best TARGET FRIENDLY

Great Video and love you style and approach. Can money buy you accuracy. Of course it does. But there is the law of diminishing returns. Going from a consistent group of 3/4 inch with limited pellet choice and fixed ranges, to a 1/4 inch group with a choice of pellets and selectable regulator and power settings cost big bucks. I play in the $500-700 range. I can shoot a seven shot magazine with selected pellets hole in hole at 25 yards. But I ain't gonna win no regional or nation championships with my rifles at 50 and 100 yards.... So yes, I love your content here, it is down to the earth honest and not pie in the sky, you don't have to have a $5000 rifle to have fun and acceptable accuracy.
really glad you enjoyed the video KEITH and thank you for taking your time to comment, people do get put off target shooting by thinking they need a £3500 - £5000 set up, there are many people out there that have these set ups but cant shoot, that's why i tried to show in this video the accuracy was almost the same its the NUTT behind the BUTT as they say, if i had TIGER WOODS golf set tomorrow i am still no TIGER WOODS and will be able to do the same with a mid range set, only the people themselves can bring out the performance as they are the main reason it actually works, i hope this makes sense i love you comment and hope to catch you on the next one keep safe all the best TARGET FRIENDLY
