My Dad has been in the hospital recovering from a second brain surgery. I was on tour for two weeks and got sick when i came back, stopping me from visiting him. He’s always thought it would be cool if i owned a drum like this, so I bought one and wrote him a song.

I love those little jazz chord things (I don’t know the technical term) that the keyboard player does during the bridge. Gives the song a whole new dimension. It almost sounds like the song changes key for half a second and immediately goes back to the previous key. It’s got a bit of a Steely Dan vibe.
I never realized this song used the Another One Bites the Dust bassline.
it's actually Christmas Rappin' by Kurtis Blow from 1979 which predates Another One Bites the Dust, but nobody acknowledges that bit of plagiarism...
