Thanks for sharing this. I'm in Northern Utah and am trying to decide if I take down my pool or not. 2 years ago we bought a 10', and holes appeared after the first takedown. We have a 12' now and I really don't want holes from the folding. Gonna give it a try since my pool was $125

Does it freeze all the way to the bottom? A bit worried about ice expanding and ripping the liner. Or is it elastic enough?

Probably depends on the model and the area you live in.

When you take them down and put them back up hole appears in the folds .. then the wife blames you for the holes.. trust me I know .. if you could use plastic bags to make ice with out getting holes … the best thing to do is to leave this pool out in the elements..

Hmmm and you don't cover it? I covered mine. There are trees all around me, so I think I need it. Ours rusted a bit at the top joints and on the ladder. We sprayed silicone on it before storing for winter in our basement.

So you didn’t use any chemicals to winterize it? I’m asking because I have one similar to yours and winter slowly coming up

Hey there fellow Michigander! I’m assuming this is not salt water? Do you have pea stone all under to pool or did you use something under the footers with the pea stone above it?

Chances are there is no rust because you are not using salt for the pool. The salt is the number one item that would rust the pool.

What did you put in the intake holes... i see you drained below outake but i have no idea what to put in the intake for winter thanks

I'm getting un upgrade to a steel frame. I wont ne taking it down but I won't keep it filled to the top just enough water to withstand any string winds blown it away .

I think people with the regular frame have the rust issues. The XTR is way better.

I have a Summer Waves 52"x26', I would never attempt taking down that pool it's too large. Ours has been up 3 years also. Ours does, however have rust on it. Yours looks new, mine does not... 😆. We live in Southern Indiana.

Wow I have the same pool, and read the owners manual. As soon I read the section for winterizing and found out it was not to be out below 40 degrees. I was discouraged. Lol Thanks for the video, im going to leave it out this winter, I live in Wisconsin. Question for you.. No tarp, plastic wrap or chemicals in yours?

It's a cool view i though about doing it 3 years ago but it's ended by not doing it because it will be get dirty and also water once in a while from the roads but good job 👍
