Love hearing him mention the Holy Spirit at the end...that's why I became a Born Again Methodist recently, as a queer (and nonbinary) man. The Holy Spirit IS "Christ's Kingdom Come, on Earth as it is in Heaven". If we WANT Heaven on Earth, we MUST accept that people come to Christ from different walks of life...that we are permanently "different folks". Trying to "straighten" every one out requires an Act of God...which we are not. People who want to be "Saints on Earth" need to learn to "leave it up to God" on matters they do not not understand, sometimes willfully slow. The Holy Spirit DOES guide ALL future endeavors on this planet...and conservatives need to find ways to respect that. We cannot use Old Testament scripture to deny homosexuality, because as the Rev Robinson reminds us, it was ALSO used to justify the mistreatment of women, and outright slavery (which is ABSOLUTELY enshrined in the Old Testament, as well as suggested in the New Testament). Our understanding of Scripture must evolve with the world, without becoming "worldly"...that is the struggle we ALL face today as Believers in Scripture. The Word of God is forever Living, well beyond the text as written.
