I've recently started it's been 18 days now , I use it like 5 days on 1day off. I don't have any purging or peeling but I got some texture skin on forehead and right bottom of my ears face. Is it good bad or my skin is good going with tret ?

I havd been using 0,05 for 3 month but I havent seen result yet my pore enlarge and I have a lot of whiteheads on my forehead. I haven' t them before using tret. I am frustrated my skin was normal , but now I have oily skin.

I had mild acne from 21 until I started retinol + a very low carb diet at 25.

I started then stopped because the purge . I had acne that I never had in my entire life . I started again just once a week. So far no acne .

All you said was what i realized when I was breaking up with my 8 year relationship where we both just didn’t accept the truth as it is. In our case we just had different personalities which didn’t work together. We kinda didn’t had any other problems as many others would have. We both to this day, value, respect and support each other. We’ve been friends since our breakup. That worked way better than we’ve ever imagined.

The lowest strength of Tret is actually 0.01 (not to be confused with 0.1) so this is actually the 2nd lowest strength, just in case anyone is looking to start I'd actually recommend the 0.01 :) a lot less severe side effects - I'm on it now and while I am breaking out, no severe peeling/flaking & i have extremely sensitive, dry skin.

It does Not thin the skin it thickens the skin. It increases turnover, therefore, are skin has layers. In the layers underneath the first layer that gets built eventually comes to the top. So no, it is a Myth. When a new layer exfoliates off a new layer at the beginning or the base of our skin has already formed.... Talk to your dermatologist. It does not thin the skin! Since it increases cell turnover. That means new skin grows faster....

What setting spray would you recommend? I accidentally used my usual one and my face got so irritated 😔

Does tretinoin darkens the skin? I have been using it for 1 month. It turned my skin very dark. I even use spf daily

Hi, I was curious what you think about enlarged pores from tretinoin use...I have been using it for a couple of months but one day realized I was very oily and my pores had enlarged...thinking it might be due to drying out I added more moisture and used the sandwich technique with tretinoin. My skin is less oily but the pores are still enlarged. Looking it up on the Internet people have reported mixed results- some say it goes away and your pores shrink again after some time on tret. And others report there skin remained with large pores for as long as they used tret which for one woman was 7 years.

Greetings from Paris France ! Your results are great! Had ingrown hair in my 20's, did twice an accutane under my dermatologist supervision. Am 53 now, and use tretinoine as part as my skin routine. And never ever had a single problem. My ingrown hair problem was solved after the second 6 months cure. So, tretinoine is for me part of my anti-aging routine. Tretinoin is supposed to make you look younger, but in the 3 years you showed you look like 10 years older. Not sure it’s the make up/ aging or Botox and other fillers.
