Quick morning trip to Brushy Creek in Cedar Park, Texas. Beautiful morning on the water - and a few fish as well.

Interesting day at Lake Bastrop with a mix of sun, rain, and wind. The fishing was mixed as well, but managed to get some nice ones in the boat. Can't wait to go again...

Yet another beautiful day at Decker Lake. I was joined again by fellow fly fisherman "22 Veteran Fly Fishing". Another beautiful weather day and the fishing was decent as well. Jeremy did great with a top water popper and I caught a few with a streamer. Can't wait to go again...

Went to Stillhouse Hollow Reservoir and had one of the best kayaking days ever, but also one of the worst fishing days... All the boat ramps are closed - and I was the only person on the lake. It was amazing! Hope the fishing is better next time though. Can't wait to go again...

I went back to Sandy Creek Park on Lake Travis again - this time the fishing wasn't great. Even with the lake coming up about 3 feet, the hydrilla has grown in thick. The only fish I caught came off the cliff walls in ~18 feet of water. Need to wait until the fall when they start schooling to head back.

Went back to Lake Buchanan. The water has come up about 12 ft since the last time I went a few weeks ago. Fishing was not great this time - only caught a 1 hybrid, 1 bass, 1 sunfish and 4 catfish. Weather was great - light winds made for easy casting. Can't wait to go again...

A beautiful day on the Texas coast. Foggy to start, then nice and sunny, but then the wind picked up and it got a bit choppy. Fishing was not so good - combination of a cold front and no tides made for some tough conditions. Still a great day on the water. Can't wait to go again.

I went back to Sandy Creek Park on Lake Travis again this weekend. The fishing was so good last week - I just had to go back. It was crazy windy and a few of the stronger gusts blew my paddle right off the kayak. The audio is pretty bad because of the wind as well. But - another great day on the water - the fishing was excellent. Can't wait to go again...

Tried a new spot out this weekend - Lake Travis. Don't know why I have not fished this lake before - it is loaded. I went to Sandy Creek Park. The boat ramp is closed due to low water and you have to work a bit to get a kayak in, but it is totally worth it - the fishing is fantastic - will definitely go back.
