boost your public speaking skills : top strategies | PhD diaries
Hi people!
Do you get nervous while presenting your work? Doing a PhD requires a lot of public speaking.. How can you deal with this? How can you build your confidence? How can you leverage your unique strengths to make a good story?
I struggled a lot with giving talks and am definitely far from being a real expert in the field, but I am sharing some tips and strategies that help me on a daily basis. Can you adapt some of them for your situation?

Oh my goodness Thank god so happy to find your channel dear🥰🧡 I'm BA student of TEFL so I wanna study linguistics for MA and then neuro scinence for Ph.d So i don't know what should I do And how can I strength my self and learn other ability? Hi Ella and thank you for your support! ✨ I got you on this feeling a bit all over the place with career choices.. but the path that you described seems very smooth and could totally work if that is what you aim for. At the same time, overplanning can turn out to be a big trap. Your imagination can draw a perfect picture. But then you might start doing research and realise that it is something that doesn't please you at all! So my advice would be to start experimenting as early as possible. Try to explore local opportunities to get involved: take a neurolinguistics class at another department of your uni or apply for a short-term (maybe even observational) internship in a lab. If you take small actions, I am pretty sure you will figure out what to do next and whether that suits you. Good luck!
