You got me into all of this VLM
I know who you are and me and my brother watch all your carpet cleaning videos. You should come and join my group and interact there with me. If I had anything to do with getting you into VLM then I'm glad I influenced you because you will end up being a big presence in the VLM industry sooner or later and I'm proud to be a part of that. If you believe in what we do, you have to try cleaning carpets with vapor steamers because trust me, vapor steaming carpets is the next big thing that going to happen in the world of carpet cleaning. Vapor steaming will end up being the best method ever developed for all carpet cleaning rug cleaning and furniture and hard floor cleaning. Remember, you heard about it from me first and me and Joe have never been wrong yet so trust us about vapor steam cleaning, and dont bother asking around about it with the other cleaners because none of them knows anything about it because we are the only ones that are doing it.
I don't think a steam cleaner cleans better than a hot water extractor, and it's too small.
I have used both and I know the differences in the two. They clean different because one is hot water and the other is vapor steam. Small doesnt matter because the small part is the place where the boiler is kept and it doesnt take a big container to hold a boiler that runs for up to 50 minutes at a time. As far as what is better, I have seen both and if HWE was actually better, or anywhere near as good, that is what I'd use instead of a vapor steamer.
Would a product like Purely Green 25 be good for steam cleaning because it is plant based and non toxic?
Yes, that product would work as any product that cleans carpets would also work.
@@jaywheeler1635 Thank you. I currently live in a senior apartment because awhile ago I had a stroke that left me in a wheelchair. This makes me 100% disabled according to Social Security which is the gold standard for being disabled. My apartment has raised rent for the last three years greater than the CPI inflation rate which is what my cost of living calculation adjustment is based on. Two years my rent increases ate up about 80% of my total COLA increase and one year it ate up about 120% of my COLA increase. I now have to perform a little side work for grocery money. In my area a carpet company charges about 120 to clean 540 sq ft in a one bdrm apartment. These are the lightest carpets I have ever had. A very light beige. Everything shows on this carpet. Within a matter of a few months it is covered in stains. I have one of those home extractors and clean the carpets about every four months. I found that being in a wheelchair I could handle the extractor in larger areas, but in tighter areas it was pretty difficult for me. I saw your videos of the Dupray Neat on the Joe Wheeler channel. Something on the end of a seven foot hose looked just my speed. I tried it and it works. I was using Fabuloso as my pre-spray, it worked pretty good with the extractor, but I would like to try something else for the Neat. I was thinking about Rug Restore, but that is out of stock. Would that be a better choice than the Purely Green? I thought of the Betco, but I have to buy four gallons. I only need to do a few carpets a month and four gallons would probably last me years, and I understand that hydrogen peroxide has a shelf life. This kind of leads me to the Purely Green as I really don't want to cause problems for myself by breathing in harsh fumes in the steam. It is between the Purely Green and the Rug Restore. Which do you feel would be better. I don't need the absolute best, good is good enough for me. Is the Amazon link still active? If this works out for me I might try to convince my son to give it a try and if I do to use the link when buying equipment and supplies for his business.
Thank you! I've rented my house for 11 years and my landlord bought the cheapest carpet he could before I moved in. I've tried to keep up with the carpet by having it cleaned regularly but that black gunk is happening in high traffic areas. I've noticed that the gunk will tack down fibers but I can hide it by pretreating with vinegar and using a deep cleaner attachment with a hard bristle brush to loosen the fibers. The black will be under the fibers, and mostly hidden once it dries.
How do you get dog stains off carpets
If your referring to dog stain colored stains you spray the stains with peroxide and steam over them at approx. 4 inches per second and the stains and smells will remove from the carpet from the intense heat from the vaporizing steam.
Hope you had a great memorial day
Thank you
nice, very nice work
Thank you
Hope youre having a great weekend!
Thank you, I am and hopefully you are to.
Interesting perspective. I’ll be looking into this. I’ve run across some cheap polyester carpets lately and have found some weird black spots in traffic and entry areas. They don’t budge. I wonder if this delaminating process happens more rapidly up here in the PNW area with all our humidity. 👍🏼
That black stuff that looks like tar at the bottom of the carpets has been a mystery to lots of carpet cleaners, even cleaners that have been cleaning for over twenty years. I decided to point this out to eliminate the confusion that has befuddled cleaners for decades now about what that black stuff at the bottom of the carpets is. I have always known what this black stuff is because I used to clean carpets that were so wore out that you could see the glue on almost all the carpets that I had been cleaning so I learned what this black tar looking stuff was way back in my past before I ever even thought about being on CZcams or be in the advice business, lol. All carpets can have this glue rising to the top of them so its not associated with just certain types of carpets because its common with all carpets if you know what your seeing when you see it. The good thing about this is we can all walk away from our cleanings without feeling we failed when it comes to making these kinds of carpets look better because since we all know we cannot fix ruin/damage we can leave these kinds of carpets, heads held high, and not leave being ashamed.
Here’s what I found: and definitely HWE high temp can be a problem. Latex-based carpet adhesives typically start to soften and reactivate at temperatures above 150°F (65°C). However, it's crucial to consult the manufacturer's guidelines for the specific adhesive you're using, as temperature sensitivity can vary between products.
@@procarpetcleaning Yes, sometimes high heat can be a cause and sometimes over wetting can be the problem. I've seen this in lots of carpets that have survived a flood so water or heat either one can cause this issue in certain situations. Perhaps this is yet another good reason to clean with VLM only because excess water and high heat doesnt happen with VLM so maybe...who knows? Maybe this could be used as a selling point on our customers for a solid reason why we do VLM over HWE?
I just purchased a oreck buffer for my apartment. The apartment hasnt been buffed or waxed at least 2 decades. Just some Mop n Glo with a mop. Do I need a red pad to first clean the floor before polishing with a bonnet?
You can get a red or white pad and spray buff the floor just like I did in the video. If your mop n glo is on the floor spotchy then you will need to get some floor stripper and a black pad for your Oreck and remove the old mop n glo and reapply some actual wax on the floor then start spray buffing with a red or white pad. Mop n Glow is not really a wax so it may or may not buff up real well when its spraybuffed.
@jaywheeler1635 thank you for your response. I'm scared I would ruin the floor w a black pad. But I will try it now. My mother who used to live in the apartment used to put a baking soda solution ( I think b.s and peroxide) to clean certain floor areas of the apartment and I noticed that those areas look like it's stripped, dull and feels rough. I'm hoping once I wax those areas the shine will be restored.
@@sahanest Let me know how it turns out.
That's true. You get the same effect when using the brushes which have no center, but that clean very well. And that's true for rotary or orbital
Yes, the brushes with no center are made under the same concept.
Please show the dirty pads I love seeing all that soil collected love VLM😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I will show the dirt when I use white bonnets. Thanks for letting me know you want to see stuff like that. Is there anything else you would like to see? Let me know and I'll show it to you when possible.

Have you ever thought of getting a tripod for the camera!?
I have a nice tripod but didnt think I'd need it on this one so I didnt bring it in.
Wow! Love this!
I made the video because I thought some people may find it fun.
Those pads are pretty aggressive, clean very well. Thanks for posting Friend
I'm glad you like it. The camera did not show how nice it actually turned out. I love those bonnets and with a glider under them they are aggressive and very fast moving.
Hey, For Another Video, Do You Think You Can Verse This DD To The Sanitaire Tradition SC899?
Are you asking me to compare the two vacuums?
@@jaywheeler1635YES
Great tip 💡
Thank you, I hope it works as well for you as it does for me.
Do you clean microfiber recliners
Yes, microfiber is the easiest fabric you can clean.
What is your process and chemicals do you use for spotting and treating stains?
My process is completely simple. I pre-spray a stain or spot then take it out with a bonnet generally. I do not openly talk about my chemical choices because it causes issues, but I do use a quality product from a carpet cleaning manufacturer to clean with.
What’s your favorite ice cream
Neapolitan with Hersheys chocolate syrup poured over the top of it and with a cut up banana mixed in with it.
Yummm I love chocolate with sprinkles I love hersheys syrup
@@Ljkrummen987 Me too
Hi, metal purpose cleaner you refer to, would that be a neutral pH 7 or higher pH. I'm in the UK, so to ask for an idea of product would be appreciated. I could then look online to what is in the product and find a UK equivalent. Keep up the good work. You were the one who got me into the vlm/encap many years ago. 👌
Its nice to hear from you but I dont understand what question you are asking me. Are you asking me about a certain chemical or about chemicals in general that are pH7? If you explain to me what your asking I'll tell you whatever it is you want to know but I'm confused as to what your asking me the way you worded your question?
Sorry, you spoke in your video about a general purpose carpet cleaner, what type! Is it. Is it a high pH type or neutral. If it has a high pH in it, would you then also have to do a further spray of a neutrliser? Hope this makes sense.
My favorite GPC I was talking about in the video is Betco Green Earth, general purpose cleaner. I believe Betco is a neutral pH but I'm not sure but believe it is neutral. BTW, Betco never failed at anything we tried to clean with it and we did lots of very dirty heavily stained carpets with the cleaner and it never let us down. I highly recommend it.
Ive used dirt devils most my life and love their vacuums
You make perfect sense on this issue with recording in someone's home. It's great if they don't mind but there is always a liability. I like watching your videos and don't worry what keyboard warriors have to say. They have nothing to offer to society but the bunk that spews from their mouths. You don't owe anyone an explanation about your personal life. Anyway Take care Brother
Thank you, I think others can do whatever they want but as for me, I do not want to film in every home I go to just to desperately try to make yet another video. Everyone knows who I am and they know all about me so I do not need to do anything desperate to get the attention of others like some feel they need to do apparently.

You don’t need to pre vacuum?
I generally have my customers pre-vacuum so I dont have to but this time they did a lousy job but they loved the results of my cleaning so it didnt matter. I believe in vacuuming but I like the customers to do it before I arrive.
@@jaywheeler1635 nah man, you need to use a industrial vac, not a home vac. It should be service
I need to get me one of those. It's good for removing stains?
The vapor steamers remove basically everything including heavy traffic lanes.
Hi. I was wondering if you could attach a link for the glider you used. You said you show it, but i never saw it or dont understand.
I cannot show a link because there is not one but what I'll do is make a video about my glider in the next couple of days and tell you how to get yourself one. When I made this video I meant to show the glider and the bottom on the bonnet when I was done cleaning the room but I forgot to and ended the video to soon.
Is this an early April Fool's Day video?
What chemical do you usually bonnet clean with?
I generally use any different sort of GPC that you can purchase from the WalMart store. I have many different GPC's so I cant say which one I use specifically.
Do you still use the depray neat steam cleaner to clean carpets
@@anthonyoreilly8476I use the Dupray on thin area rugs that are to flimsy to bonnet clean. I also use the Dupray a lot on floors and grout lines. The Dupray cleans carpet really well but I can clean quicker with the Oreck so I generally clean with the Oreck on carpets.
@jaywheeler1635 Thank you.
Best thing I did was add that handle. Great and cheap upgrade!
It really protects your machine handle if the machine handle falls backwards.
Absolutely I became a carpet cleaner because of you guys!!!💪🏽

I've always been here I just took a vacation from the internet for a little while but now I'm back.
I can’t visualize the use of the bucket to re wet it. Can you share how you use the water from the bucket? Do you just dip your hand in it and chunk water? lol sorry maybe I missed it.
I use the worx sprayer with the bucket and spray fresh clean water to re-hydrate the carpets and to re-activate the pre-spray.
@@jaywheeler1635 awe okay I must’ve missed that specific detail. Makes sense now! I’m glad I ran into your channel. You have some great advice!
@@BUCKSHOTSTVThank you
This was a very interesting and informative video. I just bought an Oreck Orbiter last night from market place. I’m exciting to utilize this little guy. I do tile and grout/ carpet cleaning, and bought it to help me agitate. But, I did a strip and wax job two weeks ago, my first time, and now I know this is a great method for repairs using this little guy. I would’ve thought you’d start from the back end and walk back out, but I see you start from the front and walked in. So basically the dilution mix of 50/50 dries as you’re buffing it out that quickly to where it doesn’t matter if you walk over it after a quick second of buffing?
Yes, when spray buffing the wax is completely dry as you go so walking over it is not an issue because its not wet, its dry. If you never spray buffed before make sure that your spray buffing on a floor that actually has wax to add more wax to the floor and not using this method to add wax to a floor that has not been previously waxed. Oh, and your dilution mix does not have to be precisely 50/50 but thats my dilution mix because I feel it gives the floor just the amount of wax it needs to overlay the wax thats already down without over-waxing and using far more wax then is neccessary just to get the top coat re-applied.
@@jaywheeler1635 thank you for the tips! I’ll definitely keep this is my mind for any future wax work. How did you clean the floor before adding the spray wax?
@@BUCKSHOTSTVI cleaned the floor prior with a GPC of some sort and a bonnet on my machine.
@@jaywheeler1635 thank you
