I have this tablet but I can't remember the pattern to unlock it... can I factory reset it and for it to setup without needing to check the sim?

to the OP, does this trick still work on your phone after the last update? Also, what features do we lose to win back the mic by resetting the keyboard?

It seems like Samsung is trying to separate the microphone from the standard keyboard since may 2022 and are trying hard to get rid of it. now it sounds like in April May 2024 even the keyboard reset option isn't working reliably to get the keyboard with embedded mic. Users are looking for the mic back on the basic keyboard so that it's always visible/accessible able to type and switch between the keyboard and mic input modes without popping a second screen over top of the keyboard killing all speedy hybrid editing.
