What string guages are you using?
Try Nashville tuning.
nice playing
What age and weight is this fight
I was 48, 186lbs
Really nice playing - sounds great, lovely tone! Wish I could do that!
Killa sound!
Time for a stogie and a 3 fingers
Great tone
sing it bro!
Sounding good brother. So cool to see you playing. It's been a long time.
badass
You are the BEST Brian!!
Similar to Joe Bonamassa down by the river.
amazing!
Great!
Man those pickups sound great. As always, great playing.
Sounds great‼️ what pickup are you using ?
I am getting my GT-750 tomorrow. The information was helpful. I will be looking into this. I did not know about spikes.
Cool! Did u build it all yourself?
That's an Allman brothers riff. See In Memory of Elizabeth Reed. Right before the organ solo and again at the end.
Great tone. Great sound.
bad ass tune
My heart swelled to three times it’s original size. Lololol
Sounds great...i knew Steve, RIP...great guy,and did great work on my guitars...miss the dude..
How about the very beginning? I freaking love this song!!!!!!! Quite village is another one I'm trying to learn.
Nice to meet you Brian. Good work!
The zero-fret on the Gold Tone instruments make this modified stringing especially easy to pull off, you won’t have to change out the nut.
Attaboy Brian!!!!!
I want to know more about those railroad spikes your putting on the frets.
What you've done is not at all unusual. It's a standard use of the 6-string banjo. Many people have done that over the years, including myself. You've reinvented a standard tuning.
But you have to admit, he's done it mighty fine. The man can play!
Some great ideas but what are the string gauges especially the high 6th string.
Thank you for the video!
Sounds incredible. Sounds like a new take on BB King! Mind me asking what your overdrive is?
Tasty
Nice like your guitar too..pex
Are you still building these?
Thank you for this! Playing this tune this weekend and your video helped me tremendously!
Tasty playing
That second part is not at all what the doobies play. One is playing octave c's and the other is up at the 10th fret.
And that last chord of the first phrase is not what the Doobies play, though that's what I play. I haven't figured out what they're playing yet though I'm trying to figure it out off their live video.
I think the first chord is a C#maj7/C.
Sounds great Brian.Have you tried putting it in open G with the high capo 6 string to see if You can obtain a true bluegrass sound with 3 octave Gs ringing out?
That's some excellent playing man, very inspiring.
Very Robin Trower ish effect!
Very nice! And getting that stingy chime!
Yeah Hoss, I dig it!! 🤟
I did this in ‘92 (and that is why you did not see it on the internet or CZcams). Also did it on an acoustic guitar AND on an electric (but used a sliding 5th string capo there - that mod I did in ‘88). Anyway, was not going to post until you said “give credit where credit is due…” on which I laughed. You are welcome for the “SJ” mod Brian! You sound great and as a reminder, original thoughts/ideas are very rare with this many people on the planet. Be well.
You smack your lips too much.
Did you have to change the bridge and nut?
