Previously, the party continued carrying out side quests that became available in Chapter 12. Starting in the village of Gongaga, they carried out Gongaga Region Quest 6: "Woodland Vigil" and took out some fiends in the jungle for Cissnei, including a Gigantoad. Then, they carried out Cosmo Canyon Region Quest 5: "Victim of Circumstance" for Zhijie in the Canyon Basin and took out the Gigaworm, a sandworm that had attacked him. Now, the party will work on a quest in the Nibel Region and get to the bottom of another of Hojo's secrets.

Detailed description: 0:00 - Game Load 0:11 - Nibelheim The party resumes near Chadley in the Residential Area of Nibelheim. The main scenario "The Keystone's Whereabouts" is in progress. The party examines the Community Noticeboard outside the Town Hall in the Water Tower Square (1:01). They sign up for the new job, "Lament of the Damned". Sounds fun. The client is the Unnerved Supervisor at Nibelheim's Town Hall. In the Town Hall, the party talks to the Supervisor (1:46). Nibel Region Quest 3: "Lament of the Damned" begins. Cloud asks all the available questions. Now, the party must return to Shinra Manor and investigate rumors of a wailing woman. The party leaves the Town Hall. They exit town northeast through the Mt. Nibel Gate. 5:39 - Nibel Region The party heads northwest to Shinra Manor. 5:55 - Shinra Manor The party goes through the Front Gate to the Courtyard. As they take the door to the Entrance Hall, a cutscene with Barret and Vincent takes place (6:15). The party must now investigate the manor's lower levels. Barret takes Tifa's Wind Materia and Lightning Materia. Cloud replaces the Magic Efficiency Materia linked to his Healing Materia with an orb of Magnify Materia. He swaps his Magnify Materia with Barret's, which is maxed. The party heads southwest to the Living Room. They call the elevator. The party takes the elevator down to the Mako Research Facility (9:47). An event takes place as they descend. 10:02 - Mako Research Facility The party arrives in the Vault on the Mako Research Facility - Section S level. They exit northeast to Classified Equipment Storage. As the party approaches Vincent by the northeastern elevator, an event takes place (10:51). He gives them the Security Card key item, which grants access to the lower levels. The party takes the elevator downstairs (11:29). More dialogue takes place as they descend. The party alights in the Connecting Passage on the Mako Research Facility - Section X level. They follow the corridor northeast. There is dialogue on the way (13:19). Vincent explains that the party must complete challenges in the Combat Simulator to proceed. They find a Moogle Medal in one of the crates along the way. The party reaches the Mako Research Combat Simulator room (13:44). After saving, they examine the pedestal in the simulator room (14:09). An event with a holographic Hojo takes place. Lovely. 14:55 - Shinra Combat Simulator - Preliminary Trials To proceed with the quest, the party must complete the Preliminary Trials in the Shinra Combat Simulator. First up, they undertake "Preliminary Trial: Aerial Specimens" (15:05). They choose a lineup of Cloud, Yuffie, and Barret. In this trial, the party battles four Scrutineyes. The condition is to defeat all enemies within the time limit of 1:30.00. Not too hard, despite the Scrutineyes' high evasiveness. The Scrutineyes are weak to lightning. The party defeats the enemies within the time limit (15:51). For clearing "Preliminary Trial: Aerial Specimens", they earn a Giga-Potion. Next, the party undertakes "Preliminary Trial: Ruthless Specimens" (16:26). The requirement is to complete "Preliminary Trial: Aerial Specimens". They choose a lineup of Cloud, Aerith, and Barret. In this trial, the party battles three Amalgams and an Adjudicator. The condition is to defeat all enemies within the time limit of 1:30.00. The Adjudicator is weak to lightning, the Amalgams to fire. The party defeats the enemies within the time limit (17:55). For clearing "Preliminary Trial: Ruthless Specimens", they earn a Dry Ether. The party leaves the simulator. 18:38 - Mako Research Facility The party saves. Then, they boot up Hojo's simulator again. 19:04 - Shinra Combat Simulator - Preliminary Trials The party undertakes the third trial, "Preliminary Trial: Comparable Specimens". The requirement is to complete "Preliminary Trial: Ruthless Specimens". The party chooses a lineup of Cloud, Yuffie, and Barret. In this trial, the party battles two Necrotic Entities and a Yin & Yang. The conditions are to (1) defeat all enemies within the time limit of 2:30.00 and (2) stagger enemies three times. Condition 2 is clearly the trickier. The Necrotic Entities can be pressured by hitting them with powerful offensive abilities while they are casting a spell, by evading their Onslaught ability, or by attacking them during Subastral Fury. The Yin & Yang is weak to fire. It can be pressured by incapacitating one of its heads, though the remaining head will go berserk afterwards. The party defeats the enemies and satisfies all the conditions (22:08). For clearing "Preliminary Trial: Comparable Specimens", they earn a Mist Mega-Potion. Finally, the party undertakes "Preliminary Trial: Bioselected Specimens" (22:51). The requirement is to complete "Preliminary Trial: Comparable Specimens". The party chooses a lineup of Cloud, Yuffie, and Barret. In this trial, the party battles an Adjudicator and a Yin & Yang. The conditions are to (1) defeat all enemies within the time limit of 2:00.00 and (2) stagger enemies twice. I did not find staggering each enemy to be as much of a challenge this time. The party defeats the enemies and satisfies all the conditions (25:40). For clearing "Preliminary Trial: Bioselected Specimens", they earn a Level 2 orb of Item Master Materia. They have finished all the Preliminary Trials. Joy. 26:08 - Mako Research Facility The Hojo AI speaks to the party after their success. The door leading forward opens. The party must now head north and identify the voice. As the party continues to the northern Connecting Passage, more dialogue takes place (26:58). I think I know the woman Vincent is describing. The party saves before they continue into the northern room. 28:32 - Mako Research Facility - Specimen Enclosure Another cutscene with the Hojo AI takes place as the party enters the Specimen Enclosure. Vincent, you're a prince. After the scene, the party confronts a Dranabarga (29:27). They have now registered 24 Nibel Region enemy types. The Dranabarga is weak to ice-elemental attacks but resistant to fire- and lightning-elemental attacks. Its shelled rear is impervious to physical attacks. Inflicting high damage during Subdue will pressure it. When its HP is low, its attacks inflict poison. The party defeats the Dranabarga (32:50). Since the party has registered 24 Nibel Region enemy types, the combat trial "Nibel Region Intel: Level 2" becomes available. A cutscene with Barret and Vincent follows. "Lament of the Damned" complete! Vincent rewards Cloud with "The Art of Swordplay Vol. VI", which provides 10 SP for Cloud. Cloud's relationship with Barret changes. The party earns 10 party EXP and 2,600 EXP. The tutorial "Combat Simulator Update" appears. A new line of trials has been added to the Mako Research Facility's Combat Simulator. The discovery "Hojo's Exams" begins. And finally, we have Vincent's haunting theme playing. After checking the Specimen Enclosure room, the party exits south. 35:13 - Mako Research Facility The party goes through the northern Connecting Passage to the Mako Research Combat Simulator room. After saving, they boot up the Combat Simulator (35:55). 36:04 - Shinra Combat Simulator - Evaluations The more advanced combat trials, "Evaluations", are now available. The party undertakes "Evaluation: Fusion Analysis" (36:12). The requirement is to complete "Preliminary Trial: Bioselected Specimens". The party chooses a lineup of Cloud, Yuffie, and Barret. In this trial, the party battles two Necrotic Entities and two Amalgams. The condition is to defeat all enemies within the time limit of 2:00.00. The party defeats the enemies within the time limit (38:32). For clearing "Evaluation: Fusion Analysis", they earn an Astral Remnant. Next, the party undertakes "Evaluation: Dominant Traits" (39:08). The requirement is to complete "Evaluation: Fusion Analysis". The party chooses a lineup of Cloud, Yuffie, and Barret. In this trial, the party battles an Adjudicator and two Yin & Yangs. The condition is to defeat all enemies within the time limit of 3:00.00. The party defeats the enemies within the time limit (43:11). For clearing "Evaluation: Dominant Traits", they earn a Turbo Ether. Halfway through the Evaluations, the party exits the simulator. 43:47 - Mako Research Facility The party saves. Then, they boot up the Combat Simulator again (43:59). 44:07 - Shinra Combat Simulator - Evaluations The party undertakes the third trial, "Evaluation: Antinomic Traits". The requirement is to complete "Evaluation: Dominant Traits". The party chooses a lineup of Cloud, Aerith, and Barret. In this trial, the party battles a Yin & Yang and two Adjudicators. The condition is to defeat all enemies within the time limit of 3:00.00. The party defeats the enemies within the time limit (46:56). For clearing "Evaluation: Antinomic Traits", they earn an Elixir. The party exits the simulator. 47:33 - Mako Research Facility The party goes through the southern Connecting Passage. They take the elevator upstairs (48:10). They reach the Classified Equipment Storage on the Mako Research Facility - Section S level. They rest at the rest bench. The party takes the elevator back downstairs (48:52). They reach the southern Connecting Passage on the Mako Research Facility - Section X level. The party returns to the Mako Research Combat Simulator room (50:12). After saving, they boot up the Combat Simulator one more time. The description is continued in a reply.

Description continuation: 50:34 - Shinra Combat Simulator - Evaluations The party undertakes the last trial, "Evaluation: Forsaken Specimens". The requirement is to complete "Evaluation: Antinomic Traits". The party chooses a lineup of Cloud, Aerith, and Barret. In this trial, the party battles a Diabolic Variant, the same fiend that Cloud, Yuffie, and Tifa faced at the Nibel Mako Reactor. The conditions are to (1) defeat all enemies within the time limit of 3:00.00 and (2) stagger an enemy. The Diabolic Variant is weak to ice-elemental damage. Destroying the tentacles on its Right Arm will pressure it. After taking a certain amount of damage, it can summon a clone. It can also use Enshadow, which toxifies the battlefield. The party defeats the Diabolic Variants and satisfies the conditions (53:09). For clearing "Evaluation: Forsaken Specimens", they earn a pair of Subversion Materia Earrings. They have completed all Evaluations in the simulator. 53:37 - Mako Research Facility Since the party has completed all the Evaluations, the door to Hojo's secret laboratory opens to the west. "Hojo's Exams" complete! The party heads west to the Simulator Control Room (53:57). There are lots of crates and a few chests. The party finds Moogle Medals in a couple of the crates. A chest in the south contains an X-Potion (54:10). A chest in the west contains an Enchanted Ring (54:23). The western chest in the north contains the Plumose Rod (54:41). Aerith equips this weapon, which provides the Ray of Judgment ability. She equips the weapon skills Not-So-Fleeting Familiar, Max HP +200, and Enduring Ward. The eastern chest in the north contains a bottle of Turbo Ether (55:43). The party warps to the Shinra Manor destination. 57:02 - Shinra Manor At the Front Gate, the party rests at the rest bench. They use the Maghnata Automat (57:25). Now that they are Party Level 9, Folio Level 9 is unlocked. Party members have Level 3 Limit Breaks available, such as Cloud's Finishing Touch. The party saves. There is more side content available, such as a treasure hunt originating in Costa del Sol and more Queen's Blood matches. The party will get to those next time. Thanks for watching!

How do you recruit new characters?

  • @backloggamereviews

You actually played this part!? Now it's just an optional cutscene that you can see in version 2. I wonder why they got rid of this part.

  • @backloggamereviews

It's interesting to see how much the game changed since coming out on the wii. Kinda wish I started playing when it first came out. I like the old character portraits on the bottom right better.

Detailed description: 0:00 - Game Load 0:11 - Gongaga The party resumes near Chadley in Felicia Commons. The main scenario "The Keystone's Whereabouts" is in progress. The party examines the Community Noticeboard outside the Gongaga Saloon (0:59). They sign up for the latest new job, "Woodland Vigil". The client is Cissnei in Gongaga Village's Felicia Commons. The party approaches Cissnei and some GYC members outside Cissnei's house in Gongaga (1:31). A cutscene takes place. Gongaga Region Quest 6: "Woodland Vigil" begins. Cissnei gives the party the Cissnei's Binoculars key item. The party must head to the Observation Tower in the jungle south of the village to look for troublesome fiends. The party warps to the chocobo stop near the Observation Tower. 3:58 - Gongaga Region The party heads to the Observation Tower (4:22). Brief dialogue takes place when they climb to the top of the tower (4:52). Atop the Observation Tower, they survey the area with Cissnei's Binoculars (4:59). They examine a Suspicious Movement spot in the trees east of the tower. Now, they must investigate the spot where they saw the suspicious activity. The party warps to the "Fiend Intel 5: A Two-Pronged Assault" location near the Fungi Forest Tower (5:37). The party heads west from this spot and down a couple of ropes to the river bank. Aerith swaps her Lightning Materia to Tifa for Tifa's Fire Materia. This Lightning Materia eventually winds up on Red XIII. At the spot with suspicious activity, the party encounters two Grandhorn Wardens and a Frightflower (7:23). All are weak to fire-elemental damage. Dialogue takes place after the battle (9:21). Back to the Observation Tower for another survey. The party warps to the Observation Tower (9:39). Atop the tower, they survey the area with Cissnei's Binoculars again (10:19). They examine a Suspicious Movement spot southeast of the tower. They must now investigate the activity at that spot. The party warps to the "Moogle Intel: Woodland Moogle" location near the Fungi Forest Tower (11:08). Southwest of the Woodland Mogstool, the party encounters two Amphidices, a Grandhorn, and a Grangalan (11:44). The party's Luck Up Materia levels up. An event takes place after the battle (12:57). The party must return to the Observation Tower for another survey. The party warps to the chocobo stop near the Observation Tower (13:26). They use a Cushion to rest here. The party warps to the Observation Tower (13:54). Atop the tower, they survey the area with Cissnei's Binoculars once more (14:23). They examine a Large Shadow spot southeast of the tower. They must now investigate the activity that spot. The party warps to the "Moogle Intel: Woodland Moogle" location near the Fungi Forest Tower (14:53). The party saves as they approach the spot northwest of the Woodland Mogstool. Barret swaps his Wind Materia to Tifa for her Ice Materia. An event takes place as the party approaches the spot (15:59). Whoa, now that's a fiend! After the event, the party battles the Gigantoad (16:11). They have now registered 20 Gongaga Region enemy types. The Gigantoad is weak to ice-elemental damage. Inflicting enough damage to its tongue will pressure it. Countering its tongue or tiring it out will cause it to sit for a moment, leaving it open. Its tongue flashes out when it uses the Capture attack. Its tongue stays out longer when it uses Whirlitongue. When it is staggered, the party can chill it out with Blizzara or Blizzaga. The party defeats the Gigantoad (18:57). Their Magnify Materia levels up. Cloud reaches Level 47 and earns 5 SP. Since the party has registered 20 Gongaga Region enemy types, the combat trial "Gongaga Region Intel: Level 2" becomes available in the Combat Simulator. A cutscene with Cissnei takes place after the battle. The party receives "Fortunes Untold Vol. VI", which provides 10 SP for Cait Sith. I'm not sure of which question has the best results, but "Who are you waiting for?" seems to work well. Er, yeah. Cissnei was in "Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII". "Woodland Vigil" complete! Cloud's relationship with Aerith changes. The party earns 10 party EXP and 2,600 EXP. Barret and Aerith reach Level 47 and earn 5 SP each. The party warps to Cosmo Canyon in the Cosmo Canyon Region. 22:16 - Cosmo Canyon The party talks to the Guide to fast-travel to the Syldra Inn: Noticeboard (22:33). The party checks the Community Noticeboard outside the Syldra Inn (22:53). They undertake the new job, "Victim of Circumstance". The client is a Hard-Luck Traveler in Cosmo Canyon's Canyon Basin. The party enters the Syldra Inn and rests. Afterwards, they warp to the Gliding Range No. 18 - 129 m destination on the plateau southeast of the Crimson Earth Tower. 23:58 - Cosmo Canyon Region The party glides north from Gliding Range No. 18 and down into the canyon basin. In the basin, they approach the Hard-Luck Traveler under his vehicle (24:45). Cosmo Canyon Region Quest 5: "Victim of Circumstance" begins. This traveler is Zhijie, an acquaintance of Yuffie's. Cloud asks him all the available questions. Zhijie asks the party to track down and take out the fiend that waylaid him. This requires the party to obtain the Vibrodetector, which is available at Moogle Emporiums when they reach Merchant Rank 4. Oh, good; I was just wondering what the Vibrodetector was for. The tutorial "Using the Vibrodetector" appears. The Vibrodetector will help the party find the fiend hiding underground. Since the party has the Vibrodetector, they can go ahead and track down the fiend. Unfortunately, they cannot use the detector while riding their chocobos, which slows things down a bit. Tifa snags Barret's Fire Materia and Ice Materia. She links her Time Materia to her AP Up Materia. After saving, the party follows the Vibrodetector's readings southeast from Zhijie's location. You want to see blue circles around the party leader and the meter above the Vibrodetector shrinking. When you see red circles, you are getting off track. The blue circles will get faster when you get close to the destination. An event takes place as the party reaches the first destination south of the Dried Oasis Tower (31:49). The target retreats to the north. After the event, the party makes their way north. When they reach the northeastern part of the basin, they bear northwest. When they reach the destination west of the Spiritwastes Tower, an event takes place (35:47). The target flees again, but it leaves lesser fiends for the party to play with. The party encounters two Desert Sahagins and a Stone Golem (35:58). After the battle, the party continues pursuing the underground fiend (37:48). They make their way southeast. The background music changes when they near the location. Cait Sith's Poison Materia, I believe, levels up. Northwest of the Dried Oasis Tower, an event takes place when the party reaches the fiend's location (41:38). Yikes! After the event, the party battles the Gigaworm (41:51). They have now registered 22 Cosmo Canyon enemy types. The Gigaworm is weak to ice-elemental damage. It can swallow party members, and it can also ingest rocks. When it has ingested a rock, its Stomach becomes a targetable. The Stomach can be crippled to release any captive party members and to pressure the enemy. The party defeats the Gigaworm (44:23). Tifa reaches Level 47 and earns 5 SP. Since the party has registered 22 Cosmo Canyon enemy types, the combat trial "Cosmo Canyon Region Intel: Level 2" becomes available in the Combat Simulator. A cutscene with Zhijie takes place after the worm's defeat. "Victim of Circumstance" complete! Zhijie gives the party an orb of Magnify Materia. That's what I'm talkin' about! Cloud's relationship with Yuffie changes and deepens. The party earns 10 party EXP and 2,600 EXP. Red XIII, Yuffie, and Cait Sith reach Level 47 and earn 5 SP each. I see the Cosmo Canyon Port is off to the southeast. The party will now try to find it. The party rides southeast into a tunnel east of the Dried Oasis Tower. In time, they find the Cosmo Canyon Port (47:48). But aside from Cid and the Tiny Bronco, they don't find much here. The party warps to the Nibelheim - Mt. Nibel Gate destination in the Nibel Region. 48:37 - Nibelheim Looks like there are Shinra guards now on duty in the village. Wonderful. The party rests at the Nidhogg Hotel in the Water Tower Square. They save near Chadley in the Residential Area. Next time, the party will continue side-questing. Thanks for watching!

Detailed description: 0:00 - Game Load 0:13 - Corel Prison The party resumes at Corel Prison in the Dustbowl. The main scenario "The Keystone's Whereabouts" is in progress. The party checks the Community Noticeboard outside the Bail Jumper bar (1:07). They accept the new job "Sand and Circuses". The client is "Gus's Party Guest" near the Beast Battleground in the Dustbowl. Near the ladder leading down to the Beast Battleground, the party talks to Leslie (2:04). He used to work for Corneo in Final Fantasy VII Remake. Corel Region Quest 8: "Sand and Circuses" begins. The party asks him all the available questions. The party must now participate in Gus's "Party" in the Beast Battleground. The party goes down the ladder to the Beast Battleground. 6:22 - Corel Prison - Beast Battleground The party talks to the Gatekeeper (6:54). They choose to join Gus's "Party". 7:05 - Beast Battleground - Gus's Party The party signs up for the first match, "Gus's Party: The Ninja vs. Winged Ones". Yuffie should be prepared for this one. A cutscene with the head scumbag himself, Gus, takes place (7:18). After the scene, the battle begins (8:12). Yuffie takes on two Valrons. They are, of course, weak to ice-elemental damage. They are most dangerous when they use Graviga. They should be much less troublesome once one has been defeated. Yuffie defeats the Valrons (10:22). Wonderful. But the only reward is the right to continue to the next match. Looks like the next match features Aerith. 10:51 - Corel Prison - Beast Battleground Aerith gives her Lightning and Wind Materia to Cloud in exchange for his Fire and Ice Materia, and she pairs the Fire and Ice Materia with an Elemental Materia on her armor. The party saves. Aerith equips the Speed Demon Keychain. The party talks to the Gatekeeper to continue Gus's "Party" (12:18). 12:28 - Beast Battleground - Gus's Party The party signs up for the second match, "Gus's Party: The Flower Seller vs. Fireballs". The requirement is to complete "Gus's Party: The Ninja vs. Winged Ones". Aerith should definitely be well prepared for this bout. The battle begins (12:38). Aerith takes on two Bombs. Since they use fire-elemental attacks, linking a Fire Materia or a Fire and Ice Materia with an Elemental Materia on Aerith's armor should help. Aerith is not the easiest solo fighter to use, but having a useful summon will help. Titan is not bad, since it is not fire-elemental. It may also help to have a Binding Materia to put one Bomb to sleep. Aerith and Titan eventually defeat the Bombs (18:29). What a blast. The next match features Barret. 18:59 - Corel Prison - Beast Battleground Cloud swaps his Lightning and Wind Materia to Aerith for her Fire and Ice Materia. Aerith gives the Lightning and Wind Materia to Barret. The party saves. Barret takes Cloud's Fire and Ice Materia in exchange for his Fire Materia. The party talks to the Gatekeeper to continue Gus's "Party" (20:04). 20:14 - Beast Battleground - Gus's Party The party signs up for the third match, "Gus's Party: The Gunner vs. Wind Sages". The requirement is to complete "Gus's Party: The Flower Seller vs. Fireballs". The battle begins (20:27). Barret takes on two Zemzeletts. The Zemzeletts are weak to ice-elemental damage. Damaging them enough during their Wingbeat attack will pressure them. Barret, at least, is quite a useful character against these flighty fiends. Barret and Kujata defeat the Zemzeletts (22:49). The next match features Tifa against a mechanical foe. 23:21 - Corel Prison - Beast Battleground Barret swaps his Fire and Ice Materia to Tifa for her Fire Materia. Tifa takes his Lightning and Wind Materia in exchange for her Wind Materia. She takes Aerith's Elemental Materia and links it to her Fire and Ice Materia. After saving, the party talks to the Gatekeeper to continue Gus's "Party" (24:22). 24:32 - Beast Battleground - Gus's Party The party signs up for the fourth match, "Gus's Party: The Pugilist vs. The Undertaker". The requirement is to complete "Gus's Party: The Gunner vs. Wind Sages". The battle begins (24:44). Tifa takes on a Modded Sweeper. The Modded Sweeper is weak to lightning-elemental damage. It has a Right Arm and a Left Arm that Tifa can target. This is a useful battle for the Enemy Skill Plasma Discharge. Exploiting its weakness to lightning will pressure it. Disabling its arms will prevent it from using certain attacks. Tifa is a useful character for this battle, though keeping her in attack range can be tricky. Tifa defeats the Modded Sweeper (27:20). The next match, naturally, features Cloud. The final foe is the Bloodstained Jester. 27:50 - Corel Prison - Beast Battleground Cloud swaps his Fire Materia to Tifa for her Fire and Ice Materia and his Lightning Materia to her for her Lightning and Wind Materia. After saving, the party talks to the Gatekeeper to continue Gus's "Party" (28:27). 28:36 - Beast Battleground - Gus's Party The party signs up for the fifth match, "Gus's Party: The Merc vs. Bloodstained Jester". The requirement is to complete "Gus's Party: The Pugilist vs. The Undertaker". A cutscene takes place after the party chooses the match (28:44). After the scene, the battle begins (29:43). Cloud takes on the Joker, which is certainly a jester of ill will. The Joker is weak to wind-elemental damage. Evading its Soul Sucker attack forces it to extract energy from itself and enter a pressured state. Its Destiny ability draws a random card that deals an attack. The Joker card attack leaves Cloud with 1 HP, so be very careful. In the end, the joke is on the Joker (32:23). A cutscene with Gus takes place after the battle (32:39). Dirty dog? Takes one to know one, Gus. Nicely done, Tifa. For completing "Gus's Party: The Merc vs. Bloodstained Jester", the party earns the Loveliest of Ladies key item. 34:32 - Corel Prison Afterwards, a cutscene with Leslie takes place. Sorry, bud. Hope you find her. "Sand and Circuses" complete! The party obtains "Way of the Fist Vol. VI", which provides 10 SP for Tifa. Cloud's relationship with Tifa changes and deepens. The party earns 10 party EXP and 2,400 EXP. The player earns the trophy "3-Star Hotel" for donating 30 items to the Treasure Trove at Johnny's Seaside Inn. I guess the Loveliest of Ladies was sent directly there. Cloud gives the Lightning and Wind Materia to Aerith. Aerith takes the Elemental Materia from Tifa. Cloud takes Tifa's Lightning Materia. After saving, the party warps to the village of Gongaga in the Gongaga Region. 38:11 - Gongaga The party examines the Community Noticeboard outside the Gongaga Saloon (38:38). They accept the new job, "Escape from Endless Writer's Block". The client is a Humble Children's Book Author in the Pear Blossom Bluff area of town. In the Pear Blossom Bluff area in the south of Gongaga, the party approaches a woman in the chocobo stable (39:34). Gongaga Region Quest 5: "Escape from Endless Writer's Block" begins. This is Maeve, and she desperately needs inspiration for her next work. She gives the party an Instant Camera. The first objective is to take a "Resolve"-themed picture at the Rugged Shoals in the north of the region. The party warps to the Rugged Shoals - Gongaga Shore destination. 44:11 - Gongaga Region The party approaches the quest destination on the shore of the Rugged Shoals (44:27). A scene with Barret and Red XIII takes place. The tutorial "Taking Red XIII's Picture" appears. Cloud must take a picture of Red consistent with the "Resolve" theme. After the scene, Cloud attempts to take pictures of Red XIII. There are three available locations for Red to pose. For the best result, take a photo that matches the theme. For the best results, Cloud photographs Red XIII on a grassy hillock to his northeast (46:47). The party obtains the "Resolve" key item. The next objective is to take a "Suffering"-themed picture at the reactor. The party warps to the Gongaga Reactor in the southeast of the region (47:56). They approach the quest destination just northwest of the Gongaga Reactor gate for a cutscene (48:05). There are three available locations for Red to pose. For the best results, Cloud photographs Red XIII atop the gate to the Gongaga Reactor to the southeast (49:20). The party obtains the "Suffering" key item. The next objective is to take an "Odyssey"-themed picture at the Gongaga Airstrip. The party warps to the Gongaga Airstrip in the west of the region (50:18). At the Gongaga Airstrip, the party approaches the quest destination for a scene (50:45). As before, there are three available locations for Red to pose. For the best results, Cloud photographs Red XIII atop the air control tower to the southwest (52:06). The party obtains the "Odyssey" key item. The next objective is to deliver the pictures to Maeve in town. The party warps to the Gongaga - South Gate destination. 52:52 - Gongaga In the Pear Blossom Bluff area, the party reports to Maeve and delivers the pictures (53:03). A cutscene takes place. "Escape from Endless Writer's Block" complete! The party earns a Crescent Moon Charm. Cloud's relationship with Barret changes and deepens. The party earns 10 party EXP and 2,400 EXP. A new quest is available in the Gongaga Region. The party saves near Chadley in the Laurel Hill area. Next time, they will start with a quest for Cissnei. Thanks for watching!

Detailed description: 0:00 - Game Load 0:12 - Costa del Sol The party resumes outside Johnny's Seaside Inn in the northwest of Costa del Sol. The main scenario "The Keystone's Whereabouts" is in progress. The party returns to the main part of town. They check the Community Noticeboard outside the Bar del Sol (1:36). They sign up for one of the new jobs, "Trouble in Paradise". The client is Mayor Kapono at the Bar del Sol. The other available job is "Gold Cup or Bust" from Billy at the Gold Saucer, so the party will work on that one later. In the Bar del Sol, the party talks to Mayor Kapono in the southeast (2:14). Corel Region Quest 6: "Trouble in Paradise" begins. Cloud asks about the available topics. The next objective is to track down the freeloading mercenary at the bar on Costa Beach. The party heads north. At Surf & Suntan, they change into their casual wear (6:07). Then, they head down to the Costa Beach (6:44). In the northeast of the beach, the party talks to the mercenary (7:27). How did I know it would be you, Kyrie? She gives the party the Transmuter Chip: Legendary Bait, which provides the Legendary Bait recipe for the Transmuter. She also provides the Key to the Off-Limits Beach key item, which will let them into the beach where the fiends are located. The next objective is to defeat the fiends on the Off-Limits Beach, but the party must make the Legendary Bait first. The tutorial "Legendary Bait" appears. Transmuting the monster bait requires a Great Malboro Tendril from the Great Malboro in the Gongaga Region and a Jabberwock Horn from the Jabberwock in the Cosmo Canyon Region. Tifa takes Barret's Ice Materia. Cloud takes Red XIII's Lightning Materia. The party warps to the "Classified Intel: The Sultan of Stench" location in the southwest of the Gongaga Region. 11:53 - Gongaga Region At the Classified Intel location, the party battles the Great Malboro again (12:08). It is weak to ice-elemental damage. They obtain a Great Malboro Tendril upon uprooting this foul weed. The party warps to Kamaria's Ranch in the Cosmo Canyon Region. 17:09 - Cosmo Canyon Region - Kamaria's Ranch The party rests at the rest bench. Then, they warp to the "Classified Intel: The Wyvern Awoken" location in the southwest of the region. 17:47 - Cosmo Canyon Region At the Classified Intel location, the party battles the Jabberwock again (17:58). It is weak to fire-elemental damage. When the party defeats the Jabberwock, Tifa, Red XIII, and Cait Sith reach Level 46 and earn 5 SP each. The party obtains a Jabberwock Horn. The party warps to Kamaria's Ranch. 21:43 - Cosmo Canyon Region - Kamaria's Ranch The party rests at the rest bench. With the Item Transmuter, they cook up the Legendary Bait key item. The party warps to the Costa del Sol Port destination in the Corel Region. 22:34 - Costa del Sol The party uses a changing booth to change to their casual clothing (22:58). Then, they head down to the Costa Beach. The party talks to Kyrie in the north of the beach (24:05). She reminds them to head to the Off-Limits Beach. I was thinking that the Off-Limits Beach was the private beach to the north, but it is not. In fact, it is south of town. The party warps to the "Fiend Intel 1: Hit the Squids" destination in the south of Northern Corel. 26:36 - Corel Region - Northern Corel East of the Fiend Intel 1 location, the party examines the door to the Off-Limits Beach (26:57). They unlock it with the key that Kyrie gave them. After passing through a short tunnel, the party arrives on the Off-Limits Beach (27:18). They plant the Legendary Bait on the beached buoy on the Off-Limits Beach (28:25). An event takes place. Yikes! After the event, the party must battle two Sea Devils (28:57). They are weak to ice-elemental damage, which will pressure them. Apparently, hitting them with a certain amount of lightning-elemental damage will cause them to attack less frequently. Yuffie reaches Level 46 and earns 5 SP. One of the party's orbs of Subversion Materia levels up. A brief event takes place after the party defeats the Sea Devils (31:36). Time to report to Kyrie ... and "take care" of her. The party warps to the Costa del Sol Port destination. 32:17 - Costa del Sol The party heads down to the Costa Beach. There, they talk to Kyrie in the north (33:05). A cutscene takes place. When asked what she did wrong, Cloud answers, "Posed as a merc". I'm not sure of the impact of the other choices. We meet Mireille, Kyrie's grandmother. Now, the party must report to Mayor Kapono. The party leaves the Costa Beach. At the Bar del Sol, they report to Mayor Kapono (38:46). Oh, I'm SO sorry, Mr. Mayor. It couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. "Trouble in Paradise" complete! The party obtains "Secrets of the Ninja Vol. VI", which provides Yuffie 10 SP. Cloud's relationship with Yuffie changes. The party earns 10 party EXP and 2,400 EXP. A new quest is available in the Corel Region. The party warps to the Costa del Sol - Johnny's Seaside Inn destination (40:23). They rest at Johnny's place. Then, they warp to the Costa del Sol Port destination (40:56). After saving, the party checks the Community Noticeboard (41:32). However, the new quest is not in this part of the Corel Region. The party talks to Chadley (41:47). They boot up the Combat Simulator. 42:11 - Combat Simulator - Regions Under Regions, the party undertakes the combat trial "Grasslands Region Intel: Level 2". The requirement is to battle 24 enemy types in the Grasslands. The party chooses a lineup of Cloud, Yuffie, and Barret. In Round 1, the party faces two Orcs and a Twin Brain. In Round 2, they face two Mus and a Toxirat. In Round 3, the party encounters two Velociwings and a Levrikon. In Round 4, they encounter three Elphadunks. In Round 5, the party battles two Burts. The party defeats the enemies (48:48). For clearing "Grasslands Region Intel: Level 2", they earn a Level 2 orb of Ice Materia. The party leaves the Combat Simulator. 49:16 - Costa del Sol The party saves. Then, they talk to Chadley (49:34). They boot up the Combat Simulator once more. 49:56 - Combat Simulator - Regions Under Regions, the party undertakes the combat trial "Junon Region Intel: Level 2". The requirement is to battle 15 enemy types in the Junon Region. The party chooses a lineup of Cloud, Yuffie, and Barret. In Round 1, the party faces two Fleetwings and two Velociwings. In Round 2, they encounter two Crystalline Crabs. In Round 3, the party battles two Grasslands Wolves and an Ogre. In Round 4, they face three Capparwires. In Round 5, the party battles a Levrikon and a Zu. The party defeats all the fiends (55:58). For clearing "Junon Region Intel: Level 2", they earn a Level 2 orb of Cleansing Materia. The party leaves the Combat Simulator. 56:22 - Costa del Sol The party warps to the Dustbowl in Southern Corel. 56:36 - Corel Prison The party enters Corel Prison in the Dustbowl and saves. Next time, they will continue carrying out side quests. Thanks for watching!

Detailed description: 0:00 - Game Load The backdrop for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on the game selection screen has changed with the start of Chapter 12. 0:22 - Corel Region - Northern Corel The party saves just outside Costa del Sol in Northern Corel. The main scenario "The Keystone's Whereabouts" is in progress. The party warps to Kalm in the Grasslands. 1:08 - Kalm The party rests at the Inn at Kalm. I feel a bit bad for that Inn Employee after the scenes during the Nibel Region's Phenomenon Intel missions. The party checks the Community Noticeboard outside the Rusty Arrow bar (2:30). They sign up for the new job available, "Hustle and Grind". Oh, dear. The client is "Beck's Business" at the Village Entrance in Kalm. Southeast of Kalm's village entrance, the party talks to Beck at Beck's Business's totally legit stall (4:14). Grasslands Quest 6: "Hustle and Grind" begins. It seems Beck and his bozos are hiring someone to slay fiends. Beck asks Cloud a series of questions. I'm not sure how the questions impact the quest results, but the answers that I chose seemed to do well: "Cloud Strife", "Done odd jobs for people", and "Pest control". Cloud's first assignment is to take care of some fiends on the old highway west of Kalm. Cloud takes Red XIII's Lightning Materia. Barret swaps his Ice Materia to Tifa for her Lightning Materia. The party goes out the main village entrance in the southwest. 8:44 - Grasslands The party rides west along the old highway. As they approach the fiends at the destination, a cutscene takes place (9:45). After the event, the party must fight a pack of Grasslands Wolves (10:07). The wolves are weak to ice-elemental damage. Tifa reaches Level 45 and earns 5 SP. Another cutscene takes place after the battle (11:23). Looks like the party has more than fiends to deal with now: a pack of thugs that has a beef with Beck and company. After the scene, it is boss time (12:31). The party battles two Bandits and two Devil Riders. The Bandits are weak to fire-elemental damage, while the Devil Riders are weak to lightning-elemental damage. The Devil Riders are fast and irritating, but lightning-elemental damage pressures them. Cait Sith and Red XIII reach Level 45 and earn 5 SP each. At the end of the battle, the combat trial "Grasslands Region Intel: Level 2" becomes available in the Combat Simulator, as the party has registered 24 Grasslands enemy types. A cutscene takes place after the battle (15:38). It seems Beck and his bozos have rethought their decision to go straight. Oh, boy. "Hustle and Grind" complete! The party obtains "Sharpshooter's Companion Vol. VI", giving Barret 10 SP and raising his weapon level. Cloud's relationship with Barret changes. The party earns 10 party EXP and reaches Party Level 9. The party also earns 3,300 EXP. Yuffie reaches Level 45 and earns 5 SP. Let's hope we're done with Beck's bozos, at least for this edition of the game. The party warps to Under Junon in the Junon Region. 18:38 - Under Junon The party rests at the rest bench in the Sea Dragon Square and saves. They check the Community Noticeboard outside the Fisherman's Net tavern (20:36). They sign up for the new job available, "Tides of War and Worry". The client is Priscilla in Under Junon's Dolphin Cove. I'd much rather help her than Beck's bozos. The party goes downstairs to the Coastline level of town (21:10). In Dolphin Cove, the party talks to Priscilla with a group of other youngsters (21:44). Junon Region Quest 6: "Tides of War and Worry" begins. Cloud is so comforting to the kiddos, huh? Fortunately, Yuffie has an idea. The tutorial "Dolphin Show" appears. Cloud must do the Dolphin Show minigame with Mr. Dolphin to entertain the children. He begins it right away. 23:11 - Dolphin Show The Dolphin Show minigame is like the Jumping with Mr. Dolphin minigame earlier in the game. Cloud and the dolphin must hit balls in the water to gain speed. In the end, Cloud and Mr. Dolphin satisfy the Rank I target time of 2:00.00 and the Rank II target time of 1:40.00 (25:07). 25:22 - Under Junon A cutscene takes place after Cloud finishes the minigame. "Dolphin Show - Rank I" complete. The party earns an Elixir. "Dolphin Show - Rank II" complete. The party earns a chunk of Cosmotite Ore. "Tides of War and Worry" complete. Cloud's relationship with Yuffie changes. The party earns 10 party EXP and 3,300 EXP. A new quest becomes available in the Junon Region. Cloud can talk to Priscilla to play the Dolphin Show minigame again. Maybe he will do so later. The party goes back upstairs to the Settlement level of town (27:00). They save. They check the Community Noticeboard outside the Fisherman's Net tavern (27:23). They sign up for the new new job available, "Beneath Still Waters". The clients are the Midgar Seventh Infantry at Crater Cape in the Junon Region. This is more like it: we have a fearsome fiend to deal with. The party warps to the "Excavation Intel: The Scars of War" location on the southwestern cape in the Junon Region. 27:50 - Junon Region Cloud gives his Lightning Materia to Red XIII. Aerith takes an Ice Materia from Tifa. Barret gives his Lightning Materia to Tifa and takes her other Ice Materia. The party rides east. Low on the southeastern coast of the southwestern cape, the party digs up a chocobo treasure, a chunk of Mythril Ore (29:38). At the quest location, the party finds the Crater Cape location and members of the Seventh Infantry (30:14). A cutscene takes place. Junon Region Quest 7: "Beneath Still Waters" begins. Cloud agrees to help the troopers deal with a dangerous fiend. The soldiers lead the party south. As the party approaches the Seventh Infantry Commander and Commander Adjutant, a cutscene takes place (31:28). Ah, there's our fiend, and it looks quite dangerous. After the scene, the party encounters a Hell Rider II (31:49). They have now registered 15 Junon Region enemy types. The Hell Rider II is weak to ice-elemental damage. Inflicting enough damage by exploiting its weakness to ice will pressure it. Linking an Ice Materia and an Elemental Materia on a party member's weapon may help. The Hell Rider II dashes around and charges party members a lot. At the end of the battle, the combat trial "Junon Region Intel: Level 2" becomes available in the Combat Simulator, as the party has registered 15 Junon Region enemy types. A cutscene takes place after the party defeats the Hell Rider II (34:48). Sadly, the fiend has not been defeated for good, and it escapes. The Commander asks the party to track down the Hell Rider II and finish it off. The party regains control after the event (35:42). They summon their chocobos. With their chocobos' senses, they follow the Hell Rider II's scent trail north and then east across the bay. A scene takes place when they catch up with the Hell Rider II on a beach southeast of Batteryhill Tower (37:07). The fiend recovers and dashes off. However, there are other fiends to deal with before the party can continue the pursuit. After the battle, the party must battle a Stormwing and a Fonadu (37:27). Looks like the party should have had a Wind Materia or two equipped. Oh, well. An event takes place after the party grounds the flighty fiends (40:05). They must continue tracking the Hell Rider II with their chocobos. The party warps to a chocobo stop just southeast of Batteryhill Tower (40:19). They use a Cushion to rest. The party rides southeast back to the beach where they fought the Stormwing and Fonadu. They pick up the Hell Rider II's scent trail again (41:15). They follow the trail north, then east, then south. They go up some mountain chocobo walls near the Piedmont Tower. They go up another mountain chocobo wall south of the tower. At the Fallen Citadel, the party encounters the Hell Rider II again (43:30). After a brief event, the battle resumes anew. The Hell Rider II is still weak to ice. However, it can alternate between physical immunity and magical immunity. It has other nasty new tricks, as well. A cutscene takes place after the party fells the Hell Rider II for good (48:07). The Commander and the Seventh Infantry arrive, and with the Commander's permission, Cloud asks a few questions. "Beneath Still Waters" complete! The party earns "Telluric Scriptures Vol. VI", giving Aerith 10 SP. Cloud's relationship with Aerith changes. The party earns 10 party EXP and 3,300 EXP. Cloud, Barret, and Aerith reach Level 46 and earn 5 SP each. Cloud's weapon level increases. The party warps to the Costa del Sol - Johnny's Seaside Inn destination in the Corel Region. 52:55 - Costa del Sol The party rests at Johnny's Seaside Inn. After chatting with Johnny outside, they save. Next time, the party will continue working on new side quests. Thanks for watching!

Detailed description: 0:00 - Game Load 0:11 - Nibel Region The party resumes near the Nibel Airstrip. The main scenario "Smoke Sent Up" is in progress. The party enters the Nibel Airstrip (0:55). They approach Cid at the smoke signal for a cutscene (0:58). He's got some interesting things to say. "Smoke Sent Up" complete. The main scenario "Return to the Gold Saucer" begins. The party can now talk to Cid when they are ready to fly to the Gold Saucer. Just outside the northeastern door of the airstrip's large southeastern hangar, the party digs up a chocobo treasure, 9,000 gil (4:04). When they are ready to go, the party talks to Cid (5:20). They report that they are ready to go to the Gold Saucer. However, another passenger has arrived to join them on their journey. "Return to the Gold Saucer" complete. 7:11 - The Skies Another cutscene takes place as the Tiny Bronco flies through the skies. Oh, dear. We have a problem. I guess it could be worse, though. The player earns the trophy "You're Not Murasaki" for completing Chapter 11. 10:07 - Chapter 12 Start A cutscene takes place as Chapter 12: "A Golden Key" starts. Well, this is ... an interesting use for a plane. 11:56 - Meridian Ocean We gain control of the Tiny Bronco in the Meridian Ocean southwest of the Corel Region. The main scenario "Full Speed Ahead" begins. Fast travel becomes unavailable. The party must "sail" the plane through the strait to Costa del Sol. There is some dialogue. Cait Sith explains in his long-winded way why the party is headed for the Gold Saucer again. After the event, the party gets started. They cannot go east through the strait between the Corel and Gongaga Regions. So, they turn northwest and go north through the strait between the Corel and Cosmo Canyon Regions. Their route takes them under the Mt. Corel Coal Mine tracks. They have more dialogue as they go past the Coal Mine (16:19). They pass between the Corel Region and the Nibel Region before they turn east along the Corel Region's northern side. There is more dialogue as they near the open sea (17:18). The party turns south along Costa del Sol's coast. The party pulls in at a small pier north of the ferry dock (18:03). They disembark. 18:08 - Costa del Sol A cutscene takes place as the party disembarks in Costa del Sol's Costa Port. Cid invites himself along to the Gold Saucer. "Full Speed Ahead" complete. As the party gains control, the tutorial "Traveling the Globe" appears (19:33). They can now travel the Meridian Ocean aboard the Tiny Bronco, and they can fast-travel to any location from the map. Nifty. The party can board the Tiny Bronco by talking to Cid at the nearest port or selecting the vessel from the map screen. Also, the tutorial "New Quests Available" appears. There are new quests available throughout the world, thanks to the SRC's declaration of war against Shinra. The tutorial "New Ways to Play" appears, too. There are new challenges at the Gold Saucer and at minigames in other regions. Interesting. The main scenario "The Keystone's Whereabouts" begins. While the Gold Saucer is the party's next destination, there is a lot available. Ports around the world are now open. Fast travel around the world is available. The Combat Simulator is upgraded to ver. 3.3.3. New Queen's Blood players are available in Costa del Sol. New quests are available in the Grasslands, the Junon Region, the Corel Region, the Gongaga Region, the Cosmo Canyon Region, and the Nibel Region. Note also the item of interest on the Costa Port, the chest with crossed swords above it. This could illuminate something good. However, there is one niggling thing I want to check on before all that: that port I saw on the northern side of the Gongaga Region. The party talks to Cid at the Costa Port (21:11). They board the Tiny Bronco. 21:16 - Meridian Ocean There is dialogue as the party "sails" south along the Corel Region's eastern coast. When they can, they turn west into the fjord between the Corel and Gongaga Regions. They land at the port on the northeastern side of the Gongaga Region. 22:49 - Gongaga Region - Gongaga Port The party arrives at the Gongaga Port in the northeast of the Gongaga Region. They find an Item Vendor at the Gongaga Port (24:28). However, they do not buy anything right now. The party starts along the road leading southeast from the port. 25:45 - Gongaga Region The party crosses a bridge and, with their chocobos, hop a mushroom south. They soon find the World Intel "Phenomenon Intel 3: Training Facility W-T" (26:06). Cor blimey, finally. A couple of Chimera Mimics guard the exterior. The party finds a rope to climb west of the Phenomenon Intel 3 location. To the east, they can drop down to the starting area of the Gongaga Region. The party returns to the "Phenomenon Intel 3: Training Facility W-T" location (27:38). They find a Moogle Medal in a crate outside. As the party enters the training facility, a cutscene takes place (28:10). A holographic Tseng and Rufus describe the next mission. The chest within is, of course, locked for now. After saving, the party examines the pedestal to begin the training exercise (29:46). Their current combat lineup is Cloud, Yuffie, and Tifa. They have four minutes to complete this mission. In Round 1, the party faces Security Officers, Grenadiers, and Riot Troopers. All are weak to fire. In Round 2, the party faces Elite Security Officers, Elite Grenadiers, and Slug-Rays. Most are weak to fire, but the Slug-Rays are weak to lightning. In Round 3, the party faces the "big guns": Flametroopers and Slug-Rays. The Flametroopers are weak to fire, the Slug-Rays to lightning. No problem for my group. A cutscene takes place after the party has obliterated the holographic fiends (33:06). The chest is unlocked. "Phenomenon Intel 3: His Personal Escorts" complete! The party earns 10 Gongaga Region data points and 5 party EXP. Chadley adds the "Phenomenon Intel 4: Training Facility B-T" location to the map. It is close to the Gongaga Airstrip, though reaching it is a bit more complicated than that. The chest in Training Facility W-T contains an Elixir (34:49). The party leaves the training facility. After a battle, they warp to a chocobo stop east of the Gongaga Airstrip (35:42). They rest here with a Cushion and save. The party warps to the chocobo stop in the ruins north of the Gongaga Ruins Tower in the southeast of the region (36:37). With their chocobos, they hop a mushroom north. The party finds the World Intel "Phenomenon Intel 4: Training Facility B-T" (36:56). They take out a couple more Chimera Mimics and a Grandhorn outside the facility itself. Aerith reaches Level 45 and earns 5 SP. The party explores the area outside Training Facility B-T before they head inside. On the top level, the party pulls a switch to open a door leading north (39:27). Hey hey, this leads directly to the Gongaga Airstrip. Interesting. Back inside, the party goes downstairs and enters the "Phenomenon Intel 4: Training Facility B-T" location (40:23). A cutscene takes place as they enter the facility. Interesting situation. After saving, the party examines the pedestal to begin the training exercise (42:03). Their current combat lineup is Cloud, Yuffie, and Tifa. In this training mission, the party faces Rude and Elena again. Rude is weak to wind, and Elena is weak to lightning. Look out for Rude's shockwaves. Finishing Elena off first may be the best strategy. At the end of the battle, Barret reaches Level 45 and earns 5 SP. A cutscene takes place after the party wins the battle (47:32). The chest in the room is unlocked. Well well, this place has an interesting caretaker, eh? "Phenomenon Intel 4: The Deadliest Game" complete! The party earns 10 Gongaga Region data points and 5 party EXP. They have collected all the World Intel data for the Gongaga Region. Bleeping finally. The party also obtains the Turks' Protorelic key item. The player earns the trophy "Honorary Turk" for obtaining a protorelic in the Gongaga Region. A cutscene takes place after Cloud obtains the Turks' Protorelic (50:24). Well, look who he has run into again. This time, it's time for an encounter. After the scene, Cloud battles the Enigmatic Swordsman (51:12). The Enigmatic Swordsman is weak to fire-elemental damage. To pressure him, evade or perfectly block his attacks. Cloud defeats the Enigmatic Swordsman (53:41). A cutscene takes place afterwards. See you later, Mr. G. The cutscene continues as Cloud returns to his own dimension (55:26). All right, Chadley. The party regains control (56:30). They have finally finished collecting World Intel in the Gongaga Region. The chest in Training Facility B-T contains a 3-star orb of Prayer Materia (57:26). The party warps to the village of Gongaga. 57:38 - Gongaga Just inside town, the party talks to Chadley (57:55). They spend 60 Gongaga Region data points to develop an orb of Magic Focus Materia. They have now developed all the Materia they can in the Gongaga Region. The party warps to Costa del Sol in the Corel Region. 58:44 - Corel Region - Northern Corel The party saves just outside Costa del Sol. Next time, they will start on the plethora of side quests unlocked in Chapter 12. Thanks for watching!

Detailed description: 0:00 - Game Load 0:12 - Nibelheim - Residential Area The party resumes in the Residential Area of Nibelheim. They adjust their combat lineups. They head up to the Water Tower Square. 1:27 - Nibelheim - Water Tower Square The party examines the Community Noticeboard outside the Town Hall (1:34). They sign up for the second job, "My White-Haired Angel". The client is the singing Head Chef in Nibelheim's Village Kitchen. The party enters the Village Kitchen where Cloud's house used to be (2:01). Tifa and Cloud have some dialogue as they enter. The party talks to the singing Head Chef in the Village Kitchen (2:15). Nibel Region Quest 2: "My White-Haired Angel" begins. Definitely sings better than a certain ninja. Ahem. Perhaps she has missed her calling. I'm not sure what impact the dialogue option has, but "You sing often?" seems to have a desirable effect. The chef's name is Christine. She is missing her cat. She asks the party to look for her near the foot of Mt. Nibel. She gives them the bowl of Cat Food key item to feed the kitty. As the party leaves the Village Kitchen, more dialogue takes place (4:58). The party heads out the Mt. Nibel Gate in the northeast. 5:24 - Nibel Region Cloud and Tifa converse as they start heading east. They continue east. As they descend a slope past the bridge, more dialogue takes place (8:51). An event takes place as the party nears the foot of Mt. Nibel (8:16). Follow that kitty! As the party reaches the Mt. Nibel Southern Ascent, the party encounters a couple of Kyuvilduns and a couple of Nibel Wolves. 9:38 - Nibel Region - Mt. Nibel Southern Ascent The party reaches the Mt. Nibel Southern Ascent. Looks like the gate to Mt. Nibel here is now closed off. Another event takes place as the party nears the quest destination (9:50). A cutscene takes place when the party approaches a white cat with some kittens at an old nest (10:07). How sweet. Cloud gives the Cat Food to the cat. Unfortunately, some fiends show up and scare off the kittens! After the scene, the party must defeat a group of four Guard Bees (11:03). They must protect the brave Fluffy in the process. Her HP is not very high, so be careful. The Guard Bees are weak to fire-elemental damage, which will pressure them. Their Poison Sting attack can inflict Poison. During the battle, one of the party's orbs of Petrify Materia levels up. An event with Fluffy takes place after the battle (11:42). She takes off west to look for her kittens. The party must follow her. Tifa takes Yuffie's Synergy Materia and links it to her Fire Materia. The party follows Fluffy southwest away from the Mt. Nibel Southern Ascent. 12:30 - Nibel Region Before long, the party catches up with the kittens and the attacking insects (12:55). They must defeat a swarm of Guard Bees to protect Fluffy and save the kittens. Yuffie with Fire Ninjutsu is perfect here. Another event takes place after the battle (13:34). They must continue following Fluffy and the kittens. Fluffy leads the way northwest and uphill. By the wreck of an old truck, the party finds a Queen Bee with more Guard Bees (14:10). Like her brood, the Queen Bee is weak to fire, which will pressure her. Her Worker Bees ability summons more Guard Bees into the battle. One of the party's orbs of Healing Materia and one of their orbs of Lightning Materia level up. An event takes place after the battle (15:59). The tutorial "Leading the Lost Cats" appears. The party must slowly and carefully lead Fluffy back to Nibelheim. The party slowly leads Fluffy and family to the road. Returning to Nibelheim at a walking speed seems to work well. An event takes place as the party leads Fluffy and family to Nibelheim's Mt. Nibel Gate (20:14). Time to follow the cats into the village. 20:24 - Nibelheim - Water Tower Square An event takes place as Cloud approaches Tifa and Fluffy in front of the Village Kitchen (20:46). All's well that ends ... not quite yet, I guess. Fluffy is drawn by the sound of a piano in the Treatment Center. The party enters the Treatment Center (21:54). Dorian is now downstairs. Upstairs, the party enters the west room. A cutscene takes place as they approach Christine and Fluffy at the piano (22:12). Fluffy gets a new name, like it or not. She also seems to have a request of Tifa. Of course, Christine blows it a bit out of proportion. Tifa must now perform the new piano piece with some local musicians. Cloud examines the piano (24:31). The party obtains the page of Sheet Music: "Aerith's Theme". Tifa decides to practice first. 24:35 - Nibelheim - Piano Practice Tifa practices "Aerith's Theme". A lovely piece, and not as tricky as "Two Legs? Nothin' To It". Wow, a Rank A performance already. 27:19 - Nibelheim - Water Tower Square The party saves after Tifa's practice. Then, they examine the piano again. Tifa decides to begin her performance. 27:34 - Nibelheim - Piano Performance Tifa performs "Aerith's Theme" with the village performers and an adorable little audience. Tifa gives a Rank A performance. 30:08 - Nibelheim - Water Tower Square A cutscene takes place after Tifa's performance. Christine gives the party "Way of the Fist Vol. V", and Tifa earns 10 SP and gains a weapon level. "My White-Haired Angel" complete! Cloud's relationship with Tifa changes. The party earns 10 party EXP and 2,000 EXP. Cloud checks the piano. It looks like Tifa's Rank A performance of "Aerith's Theme" counts. Good. Downstairs in the Treatment Center, the party talks to Dorian (33:14). They report their Rank A performance of "Aerith's Theme". "'Aerith's Theme' - A" complete! The party earns a Level 3 orb of Binding Materia. For earning Rank A on all six pieces, they also earn a Level 4 orb of Healing Materia. A cutscene with Dorian takes place (33:52). Burn up those ivories, Maestro D.! He gives the party a page of Sheet Music: "Let the Battles Begin!". This one is quite challenging, and I'm glad that mastering it is not required for earning the trophy. The tutorial "Budding Musicians" appears. Aerith and Yuffie are now available to select as the pianist. The player earns the trophy "Piano Virtuoso" for playing all six Piano Outreach Association songs well enough to receive remuneration. Cait Sith unequips his AP Up Materia and replaces his Healing Materia with the new Level 4 orb of Healing Materia. Yuffie takes the Synergy Materia back from Tifa and links it to her orb of Poison Materia. Tifa equips the new Level 3 orb of Binding Materia. The party heads to the Village Kitchen and chats with Christine for a moment. Afterwards, they visit the Nidhogg Hotel and rest. They save afterwards. Then, they go downstairs and southwest to the Residential Area. 39:07 - Nibelheim - Residential Area Yuffie takes Aerith's Auto-Cast Materia and links it to her Healing Materia. The party talks to Chadley (39:43). They boot up the Combat Simulator. 40:05 - Combat Simulator - Regions Under Regions, the party undertakes the combat trial "Nibel Region Intel: Level 1" (40:12). This requires battling 20 enemy types in the Nibel Region. The party chooses a lineup of Cloud, Yuffie, and Tifa. In Round 1, the party encounters 3 Nidhoggs. These serpents are weak to fire. In Round 2, the party encounters a Stinger and 2 Poison Caps. All are weak to fire, and the Stinger is also weak to lightning. In Round 3, the party encounters 4 Flametroopers. Again, weak to fire. Detonating the fuel tank on their back will pressure them. Cloud reaches Level 45 and earns 5 SP. In Round 4, the party encounters 3 Two Faces. These oddballs are weak to ice. They become pressured when using the "Take a Gamble" ability. In Round 5, the party encounters 2 Nibel Wolves and a Bomb. The Nibel Wolves are weak to fire, but the Bomb absorbs fire. The party defeats all the fiends (47:00). For clearing "Nibel Region Intel: Level 1", they earn a Level 2 orb of Time Materia. Unlike the other categories, the party has not completed all the Regions challenges yet. There must be more in store. 47:28 - Nibelheim - Residential Area Tifa equips the new Level 2 orb of Time Materia. After another chat with Chad, the party heads up to the Water Tower Square. 48:59 - Nibelheim - Water Tower Square The party checks the Community Noticeboard (49:07). There are no new quests available right now. Cloud also pets Fluffy/Blanca before heading out. The party warps to the Airstrip Tower. 49:36 - Nibel Region The party heads west towards the Nibel Airstrip. They save before they enter the area. Could it be that Cid himself is calling the party? Next time, the party will enter the airstrip and chat with Cid. Thanks for watching!

Detailed description: 0:00 - Game Load 0:12 - Nibelheim - Residential Area The party resumes in the Residential Area of Nibelheim. The main scenario "Smoke Sent Up" is in progress. The party warps to Shinra Manor. 1:08 - Shinra Manor - Front Gate The party visits the Vending Machine at the rest area and picks up an orb of Healing Materia for 600 gil. Cait Sith equips it and links it to an orb of AP Up Materia. They also use the Maghnata Automat. Cait Sith spends 20 SP on the synergy ability Mognificent Shot with Red XIII. The party warps to the chocobo stop on the beach just south/southeast of the Nibel Airstrip. 2:42 - Nibel Region On a hill east of the beach southeast of the Nibel Airstrip, the party digs up a chocobo treasure, a chunk of Cosmotite Ore (3:21). The party crosses to the southern side of the river mouth to find the World Intel "Phenomenon Intel 3: River Mouth Mob" (3:34). An event takes place as they approach the robed travelers (3:50). After the event, the party encounters three Necrotic Entities (4:17). These are the same creeps the party fought on the Shinra-8, though higher level. Another scene takes place after the party has defeated the fiends (6:36). 6:50 - Shinra Building Part of the scene takes place at Classified Research in the Shinra Building. Oh boy, this wacko again. 8:03 - Nibel Region The scene continues with the party in the Nibel Region. The party must continue following the robed travelers up Beacon Hill. The party regains control after the scenes (8:32). They climb the stairs and ramps leading up the hill to their south. Partway up, they encounter a Necrotic Entity and a Daemonic Entity. Some dialogue takes place as they near Beacon Hill Tower (10:31). Oh, Hojo will pay eventually, Red. Most assuredly. The party encounters a Necrotic Entity and a Shrieker southeast of Beacon Hill Tower. The party enters the path southeast of Beacon Hill Tower and follows the robed travelers southwest. Dialogue takes place as they near the group (12:19). They find the real location for "Phenomenon Intel 3: River Mouth Mob". An event takes place as the party and the robed travelers reach the closed gate (13:19). Time to open the gate. Cloud turns the valve wheel next to the gate a few times (13:25). When the red part of the valve wheel lines up with the red marker, the gate opens. The party continues past the gate. When they reach the next gate, they encounter a couple more Necrotic Entities. After the battle, Cloud approaches the valve wheels next to the gate to the lighthouse (16:27). We have a bit of a puzzle here. Cloud must align the red part of each wheel valve with the arrow above it. Turning the right-hand wheel turns only that wheel. Turning the center wheel turns the center and right wheels. Turning the left-hand wheel turns the left and center wheels. Easy solution: turn the center wheel until it matches the orientation of the left wheel. In my game, this also resulted in the right-hand wheel being in the correct position. Then, turn the left-hand wheel until the left and center wheels are in the correct position. Before proceeding, make sure someone has a Lightning Materia equipped. The party continues into the lighthouse for a cutscene (17:08). Oh, joy; a floating eyeball fiend. After the event, the party battles the Sanguine Scourge (17:21). Inflicting enough physical damage pressures it. When its HP gets low, it casts Mana Shield, which makes physical attacks ineffective. The Sanguine Scourge is weak to lightning-elemental damage. The Plasma Discharge enemy skill is useful here. A cutscene takes place after the party defeats the Sanguine Scourge (19:53). The party obtains the Protorelic Fragment γ key item. However, one of the robed travelers that the party meets is quite familiar. Sad and unsettling. "Phenomenon Intel 3: Cursed Confidant" complete! The party earns 10 Nibel Region data points and 5 party EXP. Chadley puts the "Phenomenon Intel 4: Shoreline Shamblers" point of interest on the party's map. This one is on the northern side of the river mouth. The party warps to the chocobo stop south/southeast of the Nibel Airstrip (22:43). They use a Cushion to rest at the chocobo stop. A cutscene takes place as the party approaches the robed travelers just south of the chocobo stop (23:29). The next destination is an island to the west. The Phenomenon Intel 4 site is moved to that island. After the scene, the party mounts their chocobos and uses Chocojet to cross the bay. As they approach the destination island, they find the World Intel "Phenomenon Intel 4: Shoreline Shamblers" (25:01). Look at all the robed travelers on the southwestern beach. The party uses the waterways to Chocojet to the top level of the island. They save before they enter the clear space at the summit. As the party enters the clear space at the island's summit, a cutscene takes place (26:12). Well, well. After the scene, it is boss time against the Eccentric Swordsman (27:42). Of course, long-time Final Fantasy players will know the true name of this nut job. The Eccentric Swordsman is weak to fire-elemental damage, as well as a few status ailments. Perfectly blocking his attacks makes him stumble and is likely to pressure him. What, no Genji equipment to steal? Lame. An event takes place when the party defeats the Eccentric Swordsman (30:51). Sadly for the swordsman, he is forced to depart the stage. "Phenomenon Intel 4: Wayward Soul" complete! The party earns 10 Nibel Region data points and 5 party EXP. They have now collected all World Intel data for the Nibel Region. Another event takes place afterwards (32:06). The party obtains the Black Robes' Protorelic key item. Cloud experiences another odd vision of the Eccentric Swordsman. The player earns the trophy "Professional Handler" for obtaining a protorelic in the Nibel Region. Nice. The party warps back to Nibelheim. 34:23 - Nibelheim - Residential Area The party goes up to the Water Tower Square. 34:41 - Nibelheim - Water Tower Square The party rests at the Nidhogg Hotel and saves. In the Town Hall in the south, the party talks to Turner, a Shinra guard in the southern room (35:42). They challenge this slacker to Queen's Blood. 36:17 - Queen's Blood - Turner Cloud starts the match against Turner (36:24). He has some substitution cards in his deck, but I did not find him especially difficult. Of course, it helped that Cloud started with a Titan card in his hand. Cloud defeats Turner in the end (39:25). For defeating Turner, he earns a No. 068: Valron Card. 39:47 - Nibelheim - Water Tower Square Cloud has now defeated 21 Queen's Blood players. However, he will need to defeat Wize in the Dustbowl before he can rank up. The party leaves the Town Hall and goes to the Treatment Center to the north. After saving, Cloud talks to Dale, a robed individual in the eastern room (41:21). He challenges Dale to a Queen's Blood game. 41:54 - Queen's Blood - Dale After reviewing his deck, Cloud starts the match against Dale (42:59). Again, Cloud starts with a Titan card in his hand, which helps. Cloud defeats Dale (46:00). For defeating Dale, he earns a No. 071: Twin Brain card. 46:21 - Nibelheim - Water Tower Square Dale seems to be "happy". Couldn't prove it by me. The party can now find Dorian in the western room. However, there is no sheet music on the piano yet. The party leaves the Treatment Center. On the eastern side of the General Store's exterior, they talk to Snaps (48:04). He adds the scenic spot "Nibel - Scenic Spot" to the map. It is on the island just west of the river mouth in the bay, where the Whitecap Reef Tower also is. The party warps to the Whitecap Reef Tower. 49:05 - Nibel Region The party rides southwest from the Whitecap Reef Tower and Chocojets over the bay. With Chocojet, they reach the island's southern ledge. They find the scenic spot "Nibel - Scenic Spot" (49:27). The party takes a picture in Photo Mode near the scenic spot marker (50:02). "Nibel - Scenic Spot" complete! The party warps to the Nibelheim - Mt. Nibel Gate destination. 50:31 - Nibelheim - Water Tower Square The party talks to Snaps (50:05). They show him their new scenic photo. "Scenic Spot - Nibel" complete! The party earns the camera filter: Nibel Nostalgia. Cloud becomes a Master Photographer. The party obtains the Snaps' Photo Album key item. They obtain the camera filter: Cosmopolitan Chic and the photo frame: High-Flyin' Stamp. The party heads down to the Residential Area. 53:00 - Nibelheim - Residential Area The party talks to Chadley (53:23). They spend 70 Nibel region data points to develop an orb of MP Absorption Materia. They have now developed all the Materia that can be developed in the Nibel Region. The party saves. Next time, they may work on more side quests in the Nibel Region. Thanks for watching!

Detailed description: 0:00 - Game Load 0:12 - Nibelheim - Water Tower Square The party resumes in the Water Tower Square in Nibelheim. The main scenario "Smoke Sent Up" is in progress. The party warps to Gull Bridge Tower in the Nibel Region. 1:02 - Nibel Region As the party crosses the river west of the Gull Bridge Tower, they find the World Intel "Phenomenon Intel 1: Adumbral Throng" (1:16). As they approach the throng of robed figures, the tutorial "Black-Robed Throng" appears (1:30). The party has some dialogue. They must follow the robed figures to their destination. The robed travelers amble slowly, but at least they are easy to follow. The player can give them a nudge with the L2 button. During the promenade, the party must fight off some fiends (2:59). There are two Poison Caps and two Nibel Wolves to take out. One of the party's orbs of HP Up Materia levels up. The party has more dialogue after the battle (3:55). They continue following the robed travelers on their slow, slow walk. More dialogue takes place as they approach the building southwest of Gull Bridge Tower (5:17). Another event takes place when the party and the throng reaches the door to the building (7:00). Cloud must open the door to help the robed travelers proceed. Cloud opens the door to the building (7:08). An event takes place as they enter the building. Fiends; of course. After the event, the party battles a couple of Cavestalkers (7:33). Cavestalkers are weak to ice-elemental damage. At regular intervals, they become galvanized. Dealing enough damage to them will calm them down and pressure them. Their Caustic Laser can inflict debuffs, like Debrave. The party has now registered 20 Nibel Region enemy types. Aerith and Barret reach Level 44 and earn 5 SP each. An event takes place after the party defeats the Cavestalkers (9:12). They obtain the Protorelic Fragment α key item. "Phenomenon Intel 1: Testing the Waters" complete! The party earns 10 Nibel Region data points and 5 party EXP. Chadley adds the "Phenomenon Intel 2: Airstrip Amblers" point of interest to the map. It is close to the Nibel Airstrip. Also, the combat trial "Nibel Region Intel: Level 1" becomes available in the Combat Simulator. Aerith takes the Auto-Cast Materia from Yuffie and links it to her Healing Materia. She also swaps the Steal Materia and Gravity Materia to Yuffie for the latter's Lightning and Wind Materia and Elemental Materia, which she links on her armor. Tifa takes Cait Sith's Fire Materia. There is some dialogue as the party leaves the building (12:18). The party warps to the Airstrip Tower (12:45). On the road a short way south from the Airstrip Tower, they find the World Intel "Phenomenon Intel 2: Airstrip Amblers" (13:05). They begin following this latest group of robed figures northwest along the road. The party has some dialogue (13:48). Then, we are treated to more of Yuffie's bad singing (14:56). After following the robed travelers a ways, the party examines a door below and southeast of the Nibel Airstrip (16:24). A cutscene takes place. The party must use Selena to investigate the submarine dock below the airstrip. The party rides their chocobos south to the bay. Then, they go northwest to the base of the airstrip. The party enters the submarine dock below the airstrip (18:45). They cross the littered submarine bay. On the landing in the northeast, they encounter a Valron and a couple of Nibel Wolves. Cloud masters the Blade Burst ability from his Igneous Saber. The door leading southeast is locked. The party takes the door leading northwest to the second submarine bay. Here, they encounter more robed travelers (22:28). They must help them proceed. The door leading northwest is locked from the other side. There is a submarine in the second submarine bay, although the bay is empty. By using a puddle on the northeast side of the sub, however, the party can reach the top of the sub. The party goes down the submarine's hatch. Just inside the sub, a chest contains a pair of Disempowerment Materia Earrings (23:51). These grant the use of the Debrave and Defaith spells. The party also finds a Moogle Medal in a nearby crate. In the southwest of the submarine bay, the party encounters Disgorgons. Tifa masters the Unfettered Fury ability from her Crystal Gloves. With a puddle in the west of the submarine bay, the party reaches an opening leading northwest to the third room. There is a bit of debris here. An event takes place as the party approaches the robed travelers on the platform in the northeast (29:07). Yay, more fiends. After the scene, the party must fight three Cavestalkers (29:24). Tifa reaches Level 44 and earns 5 SP. A cutscene takes place after the party has defeated the fiends (31:33). They obtain the Protorelic Fragment β key item. "Phenomenon Intel 2: Disquiet on the Docks" complete! The party earns 10 Nibel Region data points and 5 party EXP. Chadley adds the "Phenomenon Intel 3: River Mouth Mob" point of interest to the map. It is on the southern side of the river mouth south of the airstrip. The party unlocks and opens the door leading southeast to the second submarine bay. They backtrack to the first room, where the door leading southeast is still locked. Curious. The party warps back to Nibelheim. 34:40 - Nibelheim - Residential Area The party goes through Nibelheim's Residential Area to the Water Tower Square. 35:05 - Nibelheim - Water Tower Square The party rests at the Nidhogg Hotel. Then, they go back down to the Residential Area. 35:45 - Nibelheim - Residential Area After saving, the party talks to Chadley (36:02). They load up the Combat Simulator. 36:26 - Combat Simulator - Summons Under Summons, the party undertakes the combat trial "Summon Entity: Odin". The only requirement is to reach the Nibel Region. The party has analyzed the crystals at all three Odin Sanctuaries, so they reduce Odin's power all the way. They choose a combat lineup of Cloud, Yuffie, and Barret. After the intro, it's boss time against Odin, who is astride his faithful steed, Sleipnir. Odin has no particular elemental weaknesses or immunities. To start with, he wields his spear in his left hand. To pressure Odin, the party must land ATB commands, evade attacks, or inflict status ailments. This will also thrill him; he will use Sleipnir's Furor, which gives him some buffs. On the other hand, if the party takes too many of his attacks, he will become disheartened. If he sounds Gjallarhorn's Warning, be careful; he will soon unleash Zantetsuken, which will annihilate the party. After recovering from stagger, Odin uses Lord of the Blade and draws his greatsword instead of his spear. His Spatial Distortion causes part of the battlefield to become damaging. Later, Odin uses Lord of the Battlefield. He will begin wielding both of his punishing weapons. His Temporal Imprisonment ability puts an unblockable Stop effect on a party member. After a pitched battle, the party defeats Odin (42:50). For completing "Summon Entity: Odin", they earn an orb of Odin Materia. It is Level 4, since they have completed all the Divine Intel in the Nibel Region. 43:12 - Nibelheim - Residential Area A scene with Chadley takes place after the party has defeated Odin. Red XIII equips the Odin Materia. After saving, the party talks to Chadley again (44:15). They boot up the Combat Simulator once more. 44:36 - Combat Simulator - Assignments Looks like the party has completed all the challenges under Summons. Nice. Under Assignments, they undertake the combat trial "Nibel Battle Intel: Death's Harbingers" (44:42). The requirement is to defeat the Pyretails and the Carnifexes for the Nibel Region's Fiend Intel assignments. The party chooses a lineup of Cloud, Aerith, and Red XIII. In Round 1, the party encounters two Kyuvilduns and two Nibel Wolves. In Round 2, they encounter two Gorgon Manes. Look out for their Petrifying Shots and Thundaga spells. In Round 3, the party encounters two Carnifexes and two Pyretails. Red XIII reaches Level 44 and earns 5 SP. The party defeats all the fiends (50:25). For completing "Nibel Battle Intel: Death's Harbingers", they earn an orb of VIT<=>SPR Materia. Next, the party undertakes the combat trial "Nibel Battle Intel: Chthonian Rondo" (50:49). The requirement is to defeat the Marquis Valrons and the Suevite Disgorgon for the Nibel Region's Fiend Intel assignments. The party chooses a lineup of Cloud, Yuffie, and Tifa. In Round 1, the party encounters a Valron and a Disgorgon. In Round 2, they encounter three Daggerwings. Cloud's Precision Defense Focus Materia levels up. In Round 3, the party encounters a Marquis Valron and a Suevite Disgorgon. Yuffie reaches level 44 and earns 5 SP. The party defeats all the fiends (58:45). For completing "Nibel Battle Intel: Chthonian Rondo", they earn an orb of AP Up Materia. It appears the party has completed all the challenges under Assignments. I guess that just leaves Regions. The party leaves the Combat Simulator. 59:10 - Nibelheim - Residential Area The party saves. Next time, they will continue working on the Nibel Region's Phenomenon Intel assignments. Thanks for watching!

Detailed description: 0:00 - Game Load 0:11 - Mako Research Facility - Classified Equipment Storage Cait Sith's group resumes in the Classified Equipment Storage area on the Mako Research Facility - Section S under Shinra Manor. Cait Sith's scenario "Escape Plan" is in progress. Note the numbers behind the trolleys along the eastern wall. The party examines the terminal by the door in the southwest (1:23). A cutscene with the Hojo AI takes place. "Escape Plan" complete. Cait Sith's scenario "Input Password" begins. The group must find the password written down "somewhere" in this room. Um, yeah. I must say, the mad scientist was far less clever about how he concealed the password in this edition of the game than he was in the original edition. The party examines the locked door in the southwest (2:48). They input the password: 36 10 59 97. The player rotates the dial by rotating the R stick. Entering the combination is not as tricky as it was in the original game, either. An event takes place after the party has entered the password (3:48). "Input Password" complete. Cait Sith's scenario "Through the Door" begins. The party goes through the door to the Vault. 4:09 - Mako Research Facility - Vault As the party enters the Vault, a cutscene with the holographic Hojo takes place. The lunatic has a specimen that he wants the party to put down. After the scene, it is boss time against the Forgotten Specimen (4:57). This was called the Last Number in the original Final Fantasy VII. It has no elemental weaknesses or immunities. It will metamorphose based on the attacks the party inflicts. Inflicting a lot of physical damage makes it resistant to physical attacks, while inflicting a lot of magical damage will make it resistant to magic attacks. Making it switch resistances multiple times will pressure it. An event takes place partway through the battle (9:18). Don't pat yourself on the back yet, Cait. The Forgotten Specimen now has a targetable Arm and targetable Tentacles. It will also start using more powerful abilities and place noxious secretions on the battlefield. The party defeats the Forgotten Specimen (12:48). They earn 50 party EXP. A cutscene takes place after the battle. Good idea, Barret. The party can now return to Shinra Manor. First, they backtrack northeast to Classified Equipment Storage. 14:28 - Mako Research Facility - Classified Equipment Storage The party rests at the rest bench and saves. Off-screen, I tried to get to the Section X level, but no luck. Perhaps it is part of a later side quest. The party takes the southwest door to the Vault. 14:58 - Mako Research Facility - Vault Southwest of the main Vault chamber, the party takes the elevator back up to Shinra Manor (15:31). 15:42 - Shinra Manor - Underground Cavern The party arrives in the Underground Cavern on the Shinra Manor - B1 level. As they approach some familiar folks in the Underground Cavern's main room, a cutscene takes place (16:05). "Through the Door" complete. After a brief scene, we regain control of the full party (16:32). The tutorial "Facility Fight Squad" appears. The main scenario "Search Resumed" begins. We now have a lineup of Cloud, Cait Sith, and Barret. Cloud takes the Fire and Ice Materia and Elemental Materia from Barret and links them on his armor. He also takes the Healing Materia and Magic Efficiency Materia from Barret. Barret takes Aerith's Healing Materia, Lightning and Wind Materia, and Elemental Materia. Cait Sith gives his Assess Materia to Cloud. Barret trades his Lightning Materia to Aerith for her Fire Materia. Aerith unequips her Safety Bit so Cloud can equip it. The party takes the door leading northwest (19:06). In a cutscene, they meet a strange security guard, Vincent. When asked about their foe, they select "Sephiroth". They can now take the northeastern door to the Laboratory. After the scene, the party finds a rest area in Vincent's room (23:03). At the Vending Machine, they spend 500 gil on an on-sale bottle of Hi-Ether and 100 gil on an on-sale plume of Phoenix Down. With the Item Transmuter, they transmute a few Mist Mega-Potions. Then, they buy a couple of on-sale Mega-Potions. They use the rest bench. The party can try talking to Vincent, but he does not have much to say. A chest in Vincent's room contains a bottle of Turbo Ether (25:11). The party returns to the main room and saves. Cloud arranges his Materia to link the Healing Materia and Magic Efficiency Materia. Cait Sith takes Aerith's Auto-Cast Materia and links it to his Healing Materia. Barret trades his Lightning and Wind Materia and Elemental Materia to Cait Sith for the latter's Magnify Materia and Time Materia. Cait Sith takes Tifa's Fire Materia. The party takes the northeast door to the Laboratory. 26:59 - Shinra Manor - Laboratory A cutscene takes place as the party enters the Laboratory. Finally, Cait has found what he has been seeking. "Search Resumed" complete. Cloud regains control after the scene (27:33). The main scenario "Case the Joint" begins. Crude, but apt. The only one Cloud can talk to right now is Cait Sith. A few materials can be farmed in the north. An event takes place as Cloud approaches the partly ajar doorway to the southeast (28:27). Oh, dear. I think we've found the site of another sinister science experiment. 29:46 - Shinra Manor - Underground Cavern The scene continues in the Underground Cavern. To make matters worse, Vincent takes exception with Cloud's intrusion. After the scene, it is boss time against the Galian Beast (31:26). The Galian Beast is pretty quick with his attacks. He is weak to fire-elemental damage. Inflicting enough damage will pressure him. Making him flinch while he is doing Inner Turmoil or Chaotic Consumption will make him easier to pressure until he recovers. The Galian Beast is also highly evasive, and there are times when he can counterattack. An event takes place partway through the battle (33:59). He will strike fast and powerfully with his new claws. After a pitched battle, the party defeats the Galian Beast (38:35). Cloud reaches Level 44 and earns 5 SP. The party earns 50 party EXP. A cutscene takes place after the party has defeated the Galian Beast. Looks like it's time to go. "Case the Joint" complete. We regain control of the party in the Underground Cavern after the scene (40:38). Party selection is unlocked. The main scenario "Overstayed Welcomes" begins. Yuffie takes Cait Sith's Auto-Cast Materia and links it to her Healing Materia. Cait Sith gives his Healing Materia to Aerith. Yuffie gives her Morph Materia and Gravity Materia to Aerith. She takes the Lightning and Wind Materia and Elemental Materia from Cait Sith. The party can no longer enter Vincent's room or the Laboratory. To the southwest, the party presses the button to call the elevator (42:29). An event with Vincent takes place. Come away from your coffin and join us, buddy. 43:11 - Shinra Manor - Living Room The scene continues as the party arrives in the Living Room. They go northeast to the Entrance Hall. 43:43 - Shinra Manor - Entrance Hall The party goes out the front door to the Courtyard. 43:55 - Shinra Manor - Courtyard A cutscene takes place as the party approaches Yuffie outside. Cait Sith introduces a new wrinkle. Sounds like a trip to the Gold Saucer is in order. The party continues southeast to the Front Gate. 45:48 - Shinra Manor - Front Gate The party rests at the rest bench outside the manor. After saving, Cloud takes Yuffie's Poison Materia. The party continues out to the Nibel Region. 46:48 - Nibel Region A cutscene takes place as the party approaches the robed individuals near Nibelheim's Mt. Nibel Gate (47:01). Good grief, this moron again. Cloud decides to face him one-on-one. After the scene, it is boss time once more against Roche (48:49). He has no particular elemental weaknesses or immunities. Inflicting damage after he uses special attacks will pressure him. Blocking his combo finishers can knock him down. His Stygian Chains attack, if it hits Cloud, will bind him until Roche hits him again. An event takes place partway through the battle (51:09). Roche will be pressured from here on. Cloud defeats Roche (52:31). Roche drops an Elixir. The party earns 50 party EXP. A cutscene takes place after Roche's defeat. Sad, Roche. "Overstayed Welcomes" complete. 53:48 - Sector 5 Undercity A cutscene takes place in the Sector 5 Undercity. From what I've seen, I don't trust this Glenn Lodbrok any more than I do Shinra. 56:49 - Shinra Building Then, a cutscene takes place in the Shinra Building. 59:53 - Nibelheim - Water Tower Square Another cutscene takes place with the party back in Nibelheim. Gee, you spaced out for a bit there, Cait Sith. After the scene, Chadley contacts the party (1:00:56). He adds the "Phenomenon Intel 1: Adumbral Throng" point of interest to the map. It is just west of Gull Bridge Tower. We regain control of the party (1:01:26). Party selection and fast travel are now available again. New quests are available in the Nibel Region. The main scenario "Smoke Sent Up" begins. The next objective is to meet Cid at the Nibel Airstrip. But of course, there is side stuff that the party can do first. Cloud returns the Poison Materia to Yuffie. The party saves. Next time, they will start working on Phenomenon Intel in the Nibel Region. Thanks for watching!

Detailed description: 0:00 - Game Load 0:11 - Mako Research Facility - Specimen Testing Cait Sith's party gains control in Specimen Testing on the Mako Research Facility - Section W level beneath Shinra Manor. Cait Sith's scenario "Breaking Out" and the sub-scenario "Need to Vent" are in progress. The group starts in their cell in the west of Specimen Testing. Cait Sith trades his Shiva Materia to Red XIII in exchange for the latter's Bahamut Arisen Materia. Cait Sith rolls into the duct in the east to escape his cell (1:17). He arrives in an open room in the east. "Need to Vent" and "Breaking Out" complete. Cait Sith's scenario "Buds Behind Bars" begins. Time to free Aerith and Barret. In the main hallway, Cait Sith encounters a Bahba Velamyu. They are weak to fire-elemental attacks, and hitting them from behind with strong offensive abilities will pressure them. An event takes place after the battle (2:32). The tutorial "Throwing Boxes" appears. Cait Sith can summon his Moogle mount and throw crates to hit switches and other crates. Just north of Specimen Testing is the Freight Corridor. 3:01 - Mako Research Facility - Freight Corridor In silver supply crates on shelves on the east side of the corridor, Cait Sith finds a bottle of Ether and a Mist Hi-Potion. However, there is a supply crate atop the shelf that Cait Sith can only reach by throwing a Shinra box at it. There is brief dialogue with Barret and Aerith. Cait Sith returns to Specimen Testing. 3:16 - Mako Research Facility - Specimen Testing There is a plate near the entrance to Barret and Aerith's cell (3:24). Stepping on it brings up the tutorial "Provision Switches". By stepping on switches like this, Cait Sith can get a new Shinra box from a crate. Cait Sith grabs the box. He throws it at the switch high on the wall near the cell gate (3:40). An event takes place, and the group is reunited. The sub-scenario "Too Short to Reach" starts and auto-completes. "Buds Behind Bars" complete. Cait Sith's scenario "Escape Plan" begins. Time to escape this place. Almost. Cait Sith throws a Shinra box at a switch on the south wall to unlock the southern door (4:11). A chest in the southern room contains a Golden Megaphone (4:17). Cait Sith equips this weapon, which provides the Moogle Knuckle ability. Unfortunately, it has no linked slots. He equips the ATB Charge Rate Up, Moogle Vanguard, and Weapon Ability Damage +5% weapon skills. Returning to the main hallway, Cait Sith grabs a box and carries it north to the Freight Corridor. 7:24 - Mako Research Facility - Freight Corridor Destroying the supply crate atop the shelf, the party obtains a Mega-Potion. As the party continues northwest, they encounter a couple of Black Bats. They are weak to wind-elemental damage, which will pressure them. In the southwest of the corridor's intersection, Cait Sith rolls through the duct to a cell (8:14). A chest in the cell contains a pair of Revival Earrings (8:25). Cait leaves the cell via the duct (8:33). The party follows the corridor northeast to the next room (8:55). There is another provision switch that triggers Shinra boxes being dropped into the room on the western platform. Cait hits a supply crate on the northern shelf with a box and obtains an orb of Gravity. The party uses the terminal in the northeast (9:33). An event takes place. An elevator starts coming down, but there is an obstruction. The sub-scenario "Debris Disturbance" begins. Cait Sith grabs a box. From the southeastern platform, he throws the box and destroys the obstructing pipe (10:22). "Debris Disturbance" complete. The elevator continues down to the party's level. The party boards the elevator and uses the terminal to take it upstairs (11:02). 11:20 - Mako Research Facility - Generator 1 The party arrives in the Generator 1 area on the Mako Research Facility - Section N level. They follow the hall northeast. In the next room, Cait Sith throws a box to get a bottle of Ether from a supply crate atop the northwestern stairway. He also gets a Moogle Medal from the box. The party continues northeast through the corridor to the next room. They encounter a Bahba Velamyu and a couple of Black Bats. There is a locked gate in the northeast (13:28). Examining it triggers the sub-scenario "Stubborn Gate". Cait will have to find a workaround. By throwing a box, Cait Sith breaks a supply crate on the southwestern shelf and obtains a chunk of Cosmotite Ore. He also breaks a supply crate on the northwestern containers and obtains a Mega-Potion. And from the supply crate atop the northeastern pallets, he obtains a Ruby. Cait Sith rolls through the duct by the northeastern door to the next room in the Generator 2 area. 15:42 - Mako Research Facility - Generator 2 Cait Sith encounters a Bahba Velamyu in this room. The northeastern gate in this room is also locked. Cait Sith examines the terminal by the southwestern gate (16:49). An event takes place. There is a generator problem, unfortunately. The sub-scenario "Generator Valve" begins. Cait must throw a box at the valve above the middle generator. When Cait Sith steps on the provision switch, a crate is dropped in, but it breaks on the hard metal floor (17:14). He will need a way to soften the landing. In a supply room to the southeast, a chest contains a Giga-Potion (17:34). Cait Sith also finds a trolley in this room. After summoning his Moogle, he pulls the crate out to the landing platform under the Shinra box duct. When he hits the provision switch, a box drops in and does not break. Cait Sith hits the valve above the middle generator with a box (18:35). Power is restored, and the gates open. "Stubborn Gate" and "Generator Valve" complete. Aerith and Barret rejoin Cait Sith. The party continues through the northeastern gate to the next corridor (19:24). There are tons of boxes to break in this corridor. The party encounters three Black Bats in this corridor. The party finds at least one Moogle Medal in the area's crates. They take the southern door to the Generator 3 area. 22:14 - Mako Research Facility - Generator 3 In the first room of Generator 3, the party encounters a Black Bat and a Rictus. The Rictus is weak to wind-elemental attacks. Hitting it with powerful offensive abilities will pressure it. Look out for debuffs from its Dizzying Breath ability. Cait Sith examines the terminal by the southwestern gate (23:18). The sub-scenario "Accelerant Distribution" begins. Cait must throw Mako Accelerant into the moving transport unit in the southeast. In the east of the room, there is an orb of Barrier Materia (24:09). Cait Sith finds blocks of Mako Accelerant under a duct in the east of the room. He must throw them into the red-lit transport unit (24:59). Two blocks of Mako Accelerant are required overall. After two blocks of Mako Accelerant have been administered, an event takes place (25:51). "Accelerant Distribution" complete. The door opens. The party continues southwest to the next room (26:29). They encounter a quartet of Black Bats. Cait Sith masters the Moogle Knuckle ability from his Golden Megaphone. Barret's orb of Binding Materia levels up. Cait Sith switches back to his Gjallarhorn. He still needs to work on its Lady Luck ability, and it has linked Materia slots. The party boards the elevator in the southeast. They use the terminal (28:06). The elevator begins rising to the next level. 28:23 - Mako Research Facility - Ventilation Control The party reaches Ventilation Control - 1F on the Mako Research Facility - Section E1 level. They head southwest into a large room, where they encounter a Bahba Velamyu and two Rictuses. There is a rest area in the west (30:27). At the Vending Machine, the party picks up 2 on-sale Mega-Potions for 200 gil apiece. They also pick up an on-sale Garm Bangle for 2,000 gil. The party rests at the rest bench, as well. Southwest of the rest area, a chest contains 1,700 gil (31:30). By the locked gate in the southwest, Cait Sith examines a terminal (32:11). A cutscene takes place. Wouldn't you know it, Cait Sith has to power up a generator upstairs. A duct switch is brought into the room to control vent access. There are blue ducts and red ducts, and only one type is open at a time. The sub-scenario "Insufficient Power" begins. So does the discovery "Rerouting Ducts". There is a blue duct entrance in the southeast. Cait Sith will have to open it before he can use it. Cait Sith hits the duct control switch with a box (33:46). The blue ducts open. With another box, Cait Sith breaks a supply crate on a shelf on the northeastern wall and obtains a Mist Mega-Potion. After saving, Cait Sith takes the blue duct in the southeast (34:57). It takes him to Ventilation Control - 2F on the Mako Research Facility - Section E2 level. Cait Sith encounters a couple of Black Bats. He masters the Lady Luck ability from his Gjallarhorn. With a box, Cait Sith breaks a supply crate on a shelf on the northwestern wall and obtains a bottle of Hi-Ether. A chest in the northwest contains a bottle of Dry Ether (36:42). The description is continued in a reply.

Description continuation: Cait Sith takes the blue duct in the southwest (36:57). It takes him up to Ventilation Control - 3F on the Mako Research Facility - Section E3 level. Cait Sith swaps his Auto-Unique Ability Materia for Barret's Elemental Materia. He links his Lightning Materia and Elemental Materia on his weapon. On 3F, Cait Sith encounters an Adjudicator, a very annoying enemy. It is weak to lightning-elemental damage. Inflicting enough damage will pressure it. When it is pressured with physical attacks, it will use Right-Leaning Scales, which makes physical attacks ineffective. When it is pressured with magic attacks, it will use Left-Leaning Scales, which makes magic attacks ineffective. The Adjudicator can use the ??? spell, which inflicts the difference between its max HP and current HP to the target. If its HP is low, this is very dangerous. Fortunately, if you are paying attention, this is not hard to avoid. In the northwest, Cait Sith takes the blue duct (39:33). This takes him up to Ventilation Control - 4F on the Mako Research Facility - Section E4 level. Odd place for a dormitory. In the northeast, there is an orb of Atk<=>Matk Materia (40:03). This swaps the wearer's Attack and Magic Attack stats. Cait Sith drops back down to Ventilation Control - 3F on the Mako Research Facility - Section E3 level (40:31). Cait finds a red duct in the southeast (40:41). However, he must switch the duct switch on floor 1F to access it. From the broken railing in the northeast, Cait Sith throws down a box to hit the duct switch on 1F (41:00). The red ducts are opened, and the blue ducts are closed. Cait Sith takes the red duct in the southeast (41:30). 41:34 - Mako Research Facility - Materials Storage Cait Sith arrives in Materials Storage - 1F on the Mako Research Facility - Section E5 level. The discovery "Rerouting Ducts" is complete. A chest in the west contains a Hades Armlet (41:58). Cait Sith encounters a couple of Adjudicators on this level. Not a nice encounter for a solo kitty-cat. Up the northern ramps, Cait Sith operates a control terminal (45:21). This releases a nearby lift, but Cait must load three metal boxes onto the lift to bring it down. The sub-scenario "Weight-Sensitive Elevator" begins. Cait Sith finds one metal box near the lift, so he throws it on. He gets more downstairs from the provision switch. Eventually, Cait Sith has thrown three metal boxes onto the lift (46:41). He boards the lift. Now, he must get rid of the boxes on the lift by breaking them or throwing them off. He breaks them, and the lift moves upstairs. Cait Sith emerges from the elevator in Materials Storage - 2F on the Mako Research Facility - Section E6 level (47:12). "Weight-Sensitive Elevator" complete. Cait Sith operates the control terminal in the south (47:58). A cutscene takes place. Unfortunately, a specimen container releases something truly vile. After the scene, it is boss time against Yin & Yang (48:36). This dual-personality fiend has two heads. Only one is active at a time. When Yang is awake, it will throw out powerful spells. When Yin is awake, it will use strong physical attacks. Its Despondent Strike is psychotic. Yin & Yang is weak to fire-elemental attacks. Incapacitating a head will pressure the fiend, but it will make the other head go berserk. Cait Sith defeats Yin & Yang (51:38). The party earns 50 party EXP. A cutscene takes place after the battle. Fortunately, Aerith and Barret rejoin him. "Insufficient Power" complete. The sub-scenario "Board the Elevator" begins. Time to ride the elevator up. The party continues southwest to the elevator. After saving, they use the control terminal (53:19). "Board the Elevator" complete. After a short ride up, the elevator stops on the Mako Research Facility - Section X level for a safety inspection (53:33). The discovery "Aim for the Crates" begins. Shinra boxes are deposited onto the elevator, and Cait Sith must throw them to break supply crates on the conveyor belt in the distance. He has 1:30.00 to destroy 10 supply crates. In the process, the party acquires 5 manifestations of the Planet's Blessing, 2 Potions, 5 manifestations of the Planet's Favor, a bottle of Ether, 5 (?) manifestations of the Planet's Benison, 2 Mega-Potions, 5 manifestations of the Planet's Splendor, a bottle of Hi-Ether, 5 Ether Onions, a Stuffed Fat Moogle key item, and an Elixir. Cait Sith completes the minigame (54:56). "Aim for the Crates" complete! The elevator continues up. 55:07 - Mako Research Facility - Classified Equipment Storage The elevator brings the group to Classified Equipment Storage on the Mako Research Facility - Section S level. The party continues southwest to a room with a rest area in the west. At the Vending Machine (55:58), they buy 2 on-sale Mega-Potions for 200 gil apiece. They also buy an on-sale bottle of Ether and an on-sale plume of Phoenix Down for 100 gil apiece. They also rest at the rest bench. Cait Sith swaps his Elemental Materia back to Barret for the latter's Auto-Unique Ability Materia. In the east, there are several trolleys that can be pulled away from the wall. Pulling the southernmost trolley reveals a ladder to the southern ledge (57:24). A chest on the southern ledge contains a Giga-Potion (57:45). Cait Sith pulls out the other trolleys from the wall. This reveals some numbers along the eastern wall. Ooh, what's this? A combination of some sort? Looks familiar... The party saves. Next time, they will hopefully make good their escape from the Mako Research Facility. Thanks for watching!

Cloud's scenario "To the Reactor" is in progress. Before they finish exploring the Mako Distribution Plant, they will go back out to the Northern Ridge to find a treasure that they missed. The party takes the northeastern elevator (1:17). This takes them up to Mako Distribution Plant - Level 5 on the Northern Ridge - 300 m level. The party follows the path north and west. They exit through the crawlway to the Northern Summit. 1:50 - Mt. Nibel - Northern Summit The party heads west through the Northern Summit. They climb down the western wall. 3:04 - Mt. Nibel - Northern Ridge - Upper Level The party reaches the Northern Ridge - Upper Level on the Northern Ridge - 160 m level. Down a ladder to the south, a chest on a small ledge contains an Emerald (3:27). The party climbs back up to the Northern Summit. 4:33 - Mt. Nibel - Northern Summit The party reaches the Northern Summit on the Northern Ridge - 300 m level. They backtrack east. In front of the crawlway to the Mako Distribution Plant, they fight a Dragon again (5:21). Yuffie's Poison Materia levels up. The party takes the crawlway into the Mako Distribution Plant. 7:54 - Mt. Nibel - Mako Distribution Plant The party arrives in the Mako Distribution Plant - Level 5 on the Northern Ridge - 300 m level. They have already taken pipes A1 to B1 to C1 to reach the bottom level. They will now take other pipes to seek other treasures. From the top, the party takes pipe A2 (8:32). They reach a room in the southern area of Mako Distribution Plant - Level 4 on the Northern Ridge - 280 m level. The party opens the chest near where they arrive on Level 4 (9:02). It contains a chunk of Cosmotite Ore. The party takes pipe E1 in the west of the room (9:25). They reach the northern ledge on Mako Distribution Plant - Level 3 on the Northern Ridge - 250 m level. They have reached this ledge before after taking pipe B1. In the north, the party takes pipe C2 (10:21). They reach Mako Distribution Plant - Level 2 on the Northern Ridge - 220 m level. They encounter a couple of Screamers in the room where they arrive. In the north of the room on Level 2, a chest contains a bottle of Hi-Ether (11:42). In the south, the party takes the only egress, pipe F1 (12:17). They reach Mako Distribution Plant - Level 1 on the Northern Ridge 200 m level. The party has other pipe routes to explore. They take the elevator in the northeast upstairs (12:53). They reach Mako Distribution Plant - Level 5 on the Northern Ridge - 300 m level. The party takes pipe A3 (13:18). This takes them express to Mako Distribution Plant - Level 3 on the Northern Ridge - 250 m level. The party has already taken the C pipes. In the south, they take pipe D1 (13:55). They reach Mako Distribution Plant - Level 1 on the Northern Ridge 200 m level. So, this route is a bust in regard to finding treasures, but it is quick for reaching the bottom. The party takes the elevator in the northeast upstairs (14:30). They reach Mako Distribution Plant - Level 5 on the Northern Ridge - 300 m level. The party takes pipe A1 (14:54). They reach the northern ledge of Mako Distribution Plant - Level 4 on the Northern Ridge - 280 m level. In the northeast, they take pipe B2 (15:26). They reach Mako Distribution Plant - Level 3 on the Northern Ridge - 250 m level. The party takes pipe D2 in the south (16:01). They reach the room with the Screamers on Mako Distribution Plant - Level 2 on the Northern Ridge - 220 m level. The party takes pipe F1 in the south (17:05). They reach Mako Distribution Plant - Level 1 on the Northern Ridge 200 m level. One more pipe to check. The party takes the elevator in the northeast upstairs (17:32). They reach Mako Distribution Plant - Level 5 on the Northern Ridge - 300 m level. They take pipe A2 (18:01). They reach the northern ledge of Mako Distribution Plant - Level 4 on the Northern Ridge - 280 m level. The party takes pipe B3 in the northeast (18:19). They reach Mako Distribution Plant - Level 3 on the Northern Ridge - 250 m level. Definitely a popular destination. The party takes pipe C1 in the north (19:01). They reach Mako Distribution Plant - Level 1 on the Northern Ridge 200 m level. So, the best route for treasure is pipes A2 to E1 to C2 to F1. After saving, the party proceeds through the gate that they opened on Level 1 (19:29). They encounter a couple of Twin Brains near the next door. Yuffie's HP Up Materia levels up. The party takes the door in the northwest. 20:46 - Mt. Nibel - Reactor Passage As the group goes through to the Reactor Passage, Yuffie gives Cloud a sales pitch. I don't think he's interested, Yuff. Just to the west, there is another terminal that requires Deputy Commissioner Murasaki's ID Card. At the southwestern end of the passage, a chest contains a Giga-Potion (22:01). The party follows the passage northwest. They take the elevator for a long ride up (22:49). Yuffie continues her sales pitch, of course. Sorry Yuffie! 23:41 - Mt. Nibel - Mako Reactor - Perimeter The party reaches the Mako Reactor - Perimeter on the Northern Ridge - 350 m level. Well, they took a bit of a detour, but they're here. As they go east, a scene takes place when they come in sight of the reactor (24:46). Oh, dear. Sorry, Yuffie. Even so, I have a feeling she was being used. "To the Reactor" complete. After the event, the party regains control in front of the reactor (26:18). The party has a little more dialogue. Cloud's scenario "The Deputy Commissioner" begins. Time to find Murasaki, if possible. The party uses the Vending Machine at the rest area outside the reactor (27:25). They pick up 2 on-sale Mega-Potions for 200 gil apiece and an on-sale Varvados Bracelet for 2,000 gil. They rest at the rest bench afterwards. When they have saved, the party enters the Nibel Mako Reactor. 29:26 - Mt. Nibel - Nibel Mako Reactor The party starts in Mako Reactor - 1F on the Northern Ridge - 350 m level. They take the elevator in the southwest downstairs (29:59). As they arrive in Mako Reactor - B1 on the Nibel Mako Reactor level, Yuffie has a line of dialogue. Before the party exits the elevator, Tifa links her Ice Materia and Elemental Materia on her weapon. The boss to come is weak to ice. A cutscene takes place as the party exits the elevator (30:54). Oh goody, it's another of Hojo's freaky friends. After the scene, it is boss time against the Diabolic Variant (31:15). The Diabolic Variant's attacks include Firaga. Its Right Hand can attack with Tentacle Slam, and it has very long reach. The hand can also grab a party member, making them inactive for a while. After taking a certain amount of damage, the Diabolic Variant can summon a clone. Its Enshadow attack spews the battlefield with poison. The Diabolic Variant is weak to ice-elemental damage. When its Right Arm is targetable, incapacitating the Right Arm will pressure the foe, making it easier to stagger. Poison resistance can be helpful in this battle, especially if the Diabolic Variant manages to call a friend. The party soon defeats the Diabolic Variant (33:21). One of their orbs of Healing Materia levels up. The party earns 50 party EXP. A cutscene takes place after the battle. The search for Murasaki resumes. The party gains control in Mako Reactor - B1. They take the southeastern door to the next room (34:28). A brief scene takes place. The party descends the ladder to the Mako Reactor - Reactor Core (34:50). As they continue southeast, a cutscene takes place (35:09). Well, it would seem their search is over, but the commish won't need his credentials anymore. Cloud isn't the only one with unsettling memories. The party obtains the Murasaki's Employee ID Card key item. The scene continues as the party enters the inner chamber. "The Deputy Commissioner" complete. 38:33 - Nibelheim - Water Tower Square During the scene, we cut to Cait Sith at Town Hall in Nibelheim. Cait has worked some magic with the Deputy Commissioner's Card. We gain control of Cait Sith, Aerith, and Barret in the Town Hall (39:05). Yes, we're in control of Cait Sith now. Cait Sith's scenario "Stealthing into Shinra Manor" begins. Aerith takes the Lightning and Wind Materia and Elemental Materia from Yuffie in exchange for the Morph Materia and Gravity Materia. She takes back Yuffie Auto-Cast Materia and links it to her Healing Materia. She also takes Yuffie's Fire Materia. Barret takes the Fire and Ice Materia and AP Up Materia from Cloud. Cait Sith takes Cloud's Magic Efficiency Materia and links it to his Healing Materia. He also takes the Magnify Materia and Time Materia from Tifa. Barret takes Cloud's Healing Materia. He trades the AP Materia to Tifa and takes Tifa's Elemental Materia, which he links to the Fire and Ice Materia on his armor. Cloud and Yuffie unequip their Safety Bits so Cait Sith and Aerith can equip them. The group leaves Town Hall (43:08). The tutorial "Exploring with Cait Sith" appears. While exploring open spaces, pressing R2 while moving will make Cait Sith roll. The group heads for the Nidhogg Hotel (43:32). They rest here and leave. The group exits northeast out the Mt. Nibel Gate. The description is continued in a reply.

Description continuation: 44:14 - Nibel Region The party finds Red XIII to talk to by the path to Shinra Manor (44:29). They continue north to Shinra Manor. 44:50 - Shinra Manor - Front Gate They reach the Front Gate on the Shinra Manor - 1F level. They open the gate (45:11). "Stealthing into Shinra Manor" complete. Cait Sith's scenario "Search for the Terminal" begins. The group checks around the manor's exterior. Then, they enter the Courtyard. 46:02 - Shinra Manor - Courtyard The party checks around the Courtyard. After checking around outside, they enter the manor's front door. 47:17 - Shinra Manor - Entrance Hall Dialogue takes place as the party arrives in the Entrance Hall of the manor. The ground floor of the manor is still a disaster area. In fact, Shinra Manor's ground floor is much less explorable than it was in the original Final Fantasy VII. After checking around, the party takes the southwest door to the Living Room. 48:53 - Shinra Manor - Living Room It is now more of an un-living room. In the southwest, the party calls the elevator (49:38). They ride the elevator downstairs (49:50). 50:03 - Shinra Manor - Underground Cavern The elevator transports the party to the Underground Cavern on the Shinra Manor - B1 level. After saving, Cait Sith trades his Luck Up Materia to Cloud for the latter's Assess Materia. The party enters the large open room of the Underground Cavern for a cutscene (51:15). Well, if it isn't our favorite mad scientist. His trap is not so clever, but the party falls for it, anyway. Nice job, team. 52:34 - Mako Research Facility - Specimen Testing Another scene takes place where the group has landed in the Mako Research Facility. Fortunately, there is a duct that Cait Sith can go through. Cait Sith gains control in the cell (53:26). He starts in a cell in Specimen Testing on the Mako Research Facility - Section W level. The tutorial "Moving Through Ducts" appears. The player can make Cait Sith roll through an air duct by pressing R2 while he is in front of one. "Search for the Terminal" complete. Cait Sith's scenario "Breaking Out" begins. Cait Sith must find a way out so he can help the others escape. After a brief delay, the sub-scenario "Need to Vent" begins. Cait Sith's saves. Next time, he and his group will try to escape from Hojo's funhouse beneath Shinra Manor. Thanks for watching!

Detailed description: 0:00 - Game Load 0:11 - Nibel Region Cloud's group resumes in the Nibel Region just outside Nibelheim's Mt. Nibel Gate. Cloud's scenario "To the Reactor" and the sub-scenario "The Rebuilt Bridge" are in progress. Red XIII unequips his Jeweled Ring, and Aerith unequips her Safety Bit. Yuffie equips the Safety Bit, and Tifa equips the Jeweled Ring. The party explores the road east of Nibelheim. They find some fiend types that they have encountered before, Poison Caps and Nibel Wolves. Where a bridge crosses a trench, the party digs up a chocobo treasure, a Ruby, in the trench (3:27). North of the road southeast of the bridge, the party digs up another chocobo treasure, 5 Moonstones (4:11). In the southeast of the same area, they dig up another chocobo treasure, a chunk of Mythril Ore (4:43). Cloud's companions will not let him take the eastern way up Mt. Nibel (6:30). Just as well, I suppose. Along the western fence around some pipes in the east, the party digs up a chocobo treasure, a chunk of Cosmotite Ore (7:02). North of the road northeast of the bridge, the party digs up another chocobo treasure, an Emerald (7:36). Following a helpful chocobo chick, the party repairs a chocobo stop in the north of the area east of the bridge (8:02). They earn a Golden Plume. The party uses a Cushion to rest here. The party crosses the trench. Along the side path northeast of Shinra Manor, the party finds the new bridge to Mt. Nibel. 10:45 - Mt. Nibel - Garm Pass The party crosses the Gunnthra Bridge to Mt. Nibel. They start in the Garm Pass on the Northern Ridge - Foot level. "The Rebuilt Bridge" complete. There is a terminal at the entrance to the facility here (12:18). However, the party needs Deputy Commissioner Murasaki's ID card to get in. West of the terminal, a chest contains a pair of Crystal Gloves (12:37). Tifa equips the Crystal Gloves, which provide the Unfettered Fury ability. She equips the Opening ATB Bonus, Enhanced Techniques, and Enhanced Elements weapon skills. After saving, the party crosses the wooden bridge to the west. A cutscene takes place when they reach the next ledge (14:15). Cloud seems to be remembering some very interesting things now. After the scene, the sub-scenario "Riverside Trail" begins (16:48). The party crosses the next bridge and reaches the Gunnthra River Falls. 17:19 - Mt. Nibel - Gunnthra River Falls The party encounters a Velociwing and a couple of Insectoid Chimeras west of the bridge. Nothing too difficult. On the lower ledge to the south, a chest contains an Elixir (18:54). There is a rest area in the west of the area. The party uses the Vending Machine (19:56). They buy 2 on-sale Mega-Potions for 200 gil apiece. They also buy a Garm Bangle for 6,500 gil. Barret equips the new Garm Bangle. With the Item Transmuter, Cloud transmutes some Mist Mega-Potions. The party rests with the rest bench. After saving, the party enters the cave to the north, the Gnipahellir Ravine. "Riverside Trail" complete. 22:08 - Mt. Nibel - Gnipahellir Ravine An event takes place as the party enters the open area (22:33). The sub-scenario "Mako Spring" begins. Don't breathe too deeply, Yuffster. The party encounters a couple of Twin Brains in the cave. As the party goes down the ledges to the west, a cutscene takes place when they near the naturally-formed Materia (25:16). A bit eerie. "Mako Spring" complete. Near the Mako Spring, the party finds an orb of HP<=>MP Materia (26:34). This swaps the wearer's max HP and max MP values. As the party starts along the western path leading north, they encounter a couple of Velociwings. The party emerges outside and climbs the narrow path. They encounter some Kyuvilduns farther along. In the north, they climb to the Northern Ridge Bluff on the Northern Ridge - 100 m level. 31:34 - Mt. Nibel - Northern Ridge Bluff The party climbs a rock wall. After continuing northeast, they climb a rock wall (32:13). Some dialogue takes place. At the top, they find that the narrow shimmy-way has collapsed (32:42). A cutscene takes place. Yuffie creates a new route with the grappling hook. The party climbs the rope. 33:11 - Mt. Nibel - Northern Ridge - Upper Level They reach the Northern Ridge - Upper Level on the Northern Ridge - 160 m level. They follow the new path south. The party encounters a Zu. They continue south and up the path. They encounter a couple of Kyuvilduns and a Velociwing on the next largish ledge. The party turns north and climbs the next slope. In the next clearing, they encounter a couple of Screamers. These guys are such a scream. Beyond the Screamers, the party finds a very elaborate climbing wall. Some dialogue takes place as they start climbing (38:27). On a metal catwalk in the middle a short way up, a chest contains an Igneous Saber (39:07). Cloud equips this painful-looking sword, which provides the Blade Burst ability. Unfortunately, it does not provide linked Materia slots. Cloud equips the Limit Gauge Stagger, Enemy Parts Damage Up, and Magic Attack Power +20 weapon skills. The party continues climbing. Farther up, a chest on a northern ledge contains a chunk of Mythril Ore (40:36). Above this is a ledge with several material farming points. The path continues up to the North Summit on the Northern Ridge - 300 m level. Before exploring, the party goes back down to explore the southern face on the Northern Ridge - 160 m level. And such a good thing they did. Tucked away in the southeast, a chest contains a Sapphire (43:36). The party climbs the southern face to the North Summit on the Northern Ridge - 300 m level. 43:45 - Mt. Nibel - North Summit On a low southern ledge, a chest contains a pair of Fortification Materia Earrings (44:07). These grant the wearer the use of Protect and Shell. The party continues up the southern face. They find an interesting path leading down to the lower level, but they have been on the ledge below before. After cresting the path, the party finds another way down. On a small ledge in the north, a chest contains an X-Potion (47:04). However, backtracking from it is a minor pain. The party returns to the upper path and follows the route southeast. On a ledge in the southeast, the party finds an orb of Warding Materia (48:39). Not bad, but I would not mind another Magnify Materia. The party follows the path leading northeast. After saving, the party drops into the depression, where they encounter a Dragon. This powerful fiend is weak to ice-elemental damage but absorbs fire. Inflicting enough damage will make it use Roar, after which it will become pressured. After beating the Dragon, the party takes the crawlway beyond it. 53:23 - Mt. Nibel - Mako Distribution Plant The party has some dialogue as they enter the Mako Distribution Plant. Yuffie voices a thought that I had. The party arrives in Mako Distribution Plant - Level 5 on the Northern Ridge - 300 m level. They follow the path clockwise. As they reach some pipelines, the sub-scenario "Coming Down the Pipeline" begins (54:28). The party must go down the pipelines to proceed, like a similar area of Mt. Nibel in the original Final Fantasy VII. Here, there is also an elevator, but it is unpowered right now. There are three pipes to choose from. After saving, the party goes down pipe A1 (55:09). It leads them to a northern ledge in Mako Distribution Plant - Level 4 on the Northern Ridge - 280 m level. There are three more pipes to choose from here. Next, the party goes down pipe B1 (55:50). It leads them to a northwestern ledge in Mako Distribution Plant - Level 3 on the Northern Ridge - 250 m level. The party finds Moogle Medals in a couple of crates. There are four more pipes to choose from here. The party goes down pipe C1 (57:11). It leads them to Mako Distribution Plant - Level 1 on the Northern Ridge - 200 m level. "Coming Down the Pipeline" complete. The required sliding may be done, but there is more to find in this area. The party examines a gate blocking the way west (58:17). They have a little dialogue. The sub-scenario "Locked Out" begins. The party must find another way. The sub-scenario "Broken Fence" begins. A very obvious hint; the fence south of the gate is broken. South of the gate, the party pulls an unpowered Mako purifier north (59:06). When it is in front of the broken fence, it provides a way over. The party climbs over the Mako purifier and over the fence (59:33). "Broken Fence" and "Locked Out" complete. But wait. The party uses the switch just to the north of the broken fence (59:49). This not only opens the gate but also restores power to the facility. The elevator to the northeast will provide transport back up to Level 5 for more pipe-riding fun. The party saves. Next time, they will continue exploring Mt. Nibel in search of the Deputy Commissioner. Thanks for watching!

Detailed description: 0:00 - Game Load 0:11 - Nibel Region - Chocobo Sage's Manor The party resumes at the Chocobo Sage's Manor in the Nibel Region. The main scenario "Destination: Nibelheim" is in progress. The party warps to the Gjallar Bridge in the northeast of the region along the road from the airstrip to Nibelheim. 0:58 - Nibel Region The party crosses the Gjallar Bridge and continues northeast along the road. A brief event takes place as they come in sight of Nibelheim (1:28). Oh my, what a shock. 1:48 - Nibelheim - Residential Area As the party enters Nibelheim, a cutscene takes place. "Destination: Nibelheim" complete. What in the world? In this edition of the game, it isn't long before the party figures out what happened. However, Cait Sith remains on mission. After the scene, Cloud gains control at Nibelheim's southwestern entrance in the Residential Area on the Village level (3:08). The main scenario "The Terminal" begins. Fast travel becomes unavailable. Cloud begins by exploring the Residential Area. It doesn't take the player long to find out how Shinra is using the rebuilt village. Pretty sure I can figure out why, too, and there is nothing altruistic about it. It is unsettling to see a group of kids on the second level of the Residential Area playing the same game as another group of kids during Cloud's flashback. 10:21 - Nibelheim - Water Tower Square As Cloud follows his friends up to the Water Tower Square, another event takes place. Those locals are not quite so local. Cait Sith talks to the Supervisor on duty. Welcoming, but ... not. "The Terminal" complete. After the event, Cloud regains control in the Water Tower Square (12:23). The main scenario "A Village Changed" begins. New Queen's Blood players are available to challenge in Nibelheim. Cloud can check on his companions in the village while Cait Sith is doing his thing. Cloud finds the Community Noticeboard outside the Town Hall in the south of the Water Tower Square (13:52). There are no new jobs available right now. In the southeast of the square, Cloud enters the Treatment Center (14:35). Its predecessor was the Lockhart Residence. The upstairs area is the Treatment Center - 2F on the Village - Upper Level. In the eastern room, there is a Queen's Blood player, Dale. One of the "patients". In the western room upstairs, Cloud approaches Tifa for a scene (16:27). There is an option that impacts his relationship with her. After this scene, Cloud can talk to Tifa again for another conversation (18:26). There is also a piano in the western room, but there is no new sheet music right now. Cloud goes downstairs and leaves the Treatment Center (19:49). In the middle of the square, Cloud talks to Aerith at the base of the Water Tower for a brief event (20:07). When Cloud climbs the Water Tower, a cutscene with Aerith takes place (20:29). He gives her an overview of town. There is an option that impacts his relationship with her. After the scene, Cloud can talk to Aerith for another conversation (22:59). After leaving the Water Tower, Cloud enters the eastern house for a cutscene with the Head Chef (24:28). The house that replaced his is now the Village Kitchen. When Cloud talks to a hooded individual in the eastern house, another scene with the Head Chef takes place (25:28). She seems quite observant. Cloud leaves the eastern house (28:26). In the northeast of town, he talks to Yuffie near the stairs leading towards Mt. Nibel and the manor (28:48). There is an option that impacts his relationship with her. Up a flight of the northeastern stairs, Cloud talks to Red XIII (29:38). There is an option that impacts Cloud's relationship with Red. Cloud cannot take the northeastern stairs out of town right now. It looks like someone new is still leading folks in Zanga-cise. I wonder whatever happened to the real Zangan. Cloud finds Snaps just east of the General Store. He will look for Snaps's scenic shot in this region later. Cloud enters the General Store in the north of the Water Tower Square (33:05). He checks the Maghnata Automat near the counter. Since the party has reached Party Level 8, Folio Level 8 is unlocked. Cloud spends 20 SP on the synergy ability Curiosity's End with Cait Sith. Cait Sith spends 20 SP on the synergy ability United Refocus with Yuffie. Red XIII spends 20 SP on the synergy ability Call of the Wild with Tifa and 20 SP on the synergy ability Feline Fury with Cait Sith. Barret spends 20 SP on the synergy ability Purrfect Shot with Cait Sith and 20 SP on the stat boost Max HP Up. Tifa spends 20 SP on the stat boost Steadfast Concentration. Yuffie spends 20 SP on the synergy ability Moogle Pinwheel with Cait Sith and 20 SP on the synergy ability Mystic Multiplication with Aerith. Aerith spends 20 SP on the ability Kitty Cannonade with Cait Sith. Cloud also talks to the General Store Owner (36:09). He spends 500 gil on the QB Booster Pack: Prehistoric Beasts, which contains the following cards: No. 069: Disgorgon, No. 070: Dragon, and No. 073: Bahba Velamyu. Looks like the party may have found all the available weapons up to now. Cloud spends 6,500 gil apiece on a Garm Bangle and a Varvados Bracelet. Cloud pulls out the ol' Item Transmuter. Under Items, he transmutes an X-Potion. He lacks one ingredient for the Dry Ether, the Astral Remnant. Cloud transmutes a few Mixed Hi-Potions and Mist Hi-Potions. Under Armor Upgrades, he upgrades the Varvados Bracelet to an Enhanced Varvados Bracelet. He needs more Exquisite Beast Hide to upgrade the Garm Bangle. Aerith equips the Enhanced Varvados Bracelet. Tifa equips the Garm Bangle. Cait Sith equips an Enhanced Resplendent Bracer. After leaving the General Store, Cloud saves. He enters the Nidhogg Hotel in the northwest of the Water Tower Square (41:15). An event takes place as he enters and believes he sees someone going upstairs. The sub-scenario "Memories Revived" begins. He must go to the inn's second floor. Cloud talks to Barret in the lobby (41:42). There is an option that impacts Cloud's relationship with Barret. Afterwards, Cloud talks to the innkeeper at the Front Desk. He chooses to rest here. Cloud leaves the hotel (43:13). He goes to the Town Hall in the south of the square (43:28). He can talk to the Supervisor and Cait Sith at the terminal. The Supervisor has some interesting things to say. Cait Sith has not finished his work yet. In the Town Hall's back room, Cloud can find Turner, a Queen's Blood player. He will challenge the QB players in town later. Cloud leaves the Town Hall. He returns to the Nidhogg Hotel in the northwest (46:30). Odd things take place as he goes upstairs to the Nidhogg Hotel - 2F on the Village - Upper Level. When Cloud enters the guest room, a cutscene takes place (47:00). Well, isn't that interesting! "Memories Revived" complete. Now, it's time to check on Cait Sith. A chest in the hotel's guest room contains a Mist Mega-Potion (49:05). Cloud goes downstairs and leaves the Nidhogg Hotel (49:48). He returns to the Town Hall (50:00). He saves. Cait Sith does not sound happy. As Cloud talks to Cait Sith at the terminal, a cutscene takes place (50:21). Nothing is ever easy, is it, Cait? Time to track down Deputy Commissioner Murasaki at the Nibel Mako Reactor. "A Village Changed" complete. The main scenario "Prep for Departure" begins. Cloud leaves the Town Hall. After saving, Cloud approaches Cait Sith and the rest of the party in the northeast of town (52:25). Cloud chooses not to leave for the Mako Reactor just yet. Fast travel becomes available, and Chadley is now in the Residential Area. Cloud can do some exploration and other business before choosing to leave for the reactor. Cloud actually is ready now, so he talks to Yuffie (53:33). When he chooses to depart for the reactor, a cutscene takes place. "Prep for Departure" complete. 53:58 - Shinra Building At the Shinra Building, a cutscene with Rufus and Heidegger takes place. Just what are you up to, Junior? It's as if you WANT a war. 54:35 - Nibel Region A brief event takes place as we join Cloud, Tifa, and Yuffie at the Nibelheim - Mt. Nibel Gate. Party selection is locked, and fast travel is unavailable once more. Cloud's scenario "To the Reactor" and the sub-scenario "The Rebuilt Bridge" begin. Cloud's group can take the newly built bridge to head for the reactor. Cloud equips the new Comet Materia. Yuffie takes Aerith's Auto-Cast Materia and links it to her Healing Materia. She swaps her Morph Materia and Gravity to Aerith for the latter's Lightning and Wind Materia and Elemental Materia on her armor. She also swaps her Enervation Materia to Aerith for the latter's Fire Materia. Tifa takes Barret's Fire Materia and Red's Wind Materia. Tifa swaps her Fortification Materia to Barret and takes his Time Materia and Magnify Materia. Just north of the town gate and along the fencing outside Shinra Manor, the party digs up a chocobo treasure, a Sapphire (57:31). The party rides northwest towards Shinra Manor. 57:47 - Shinra Manor - Front Gate While the party cannot enter Shinra Manor, they can find a rest area at the Front Gate area. At the Vending Machine, they buy 3 on-sale Mega-Potions for 200 gil apiece. They also spend 6,500 gil on another Varvados Bracelet. Yuffie equips the Varvados Bracelet. With the Item Transmuter, Cloud upgrades it to an Enhanced Varvados Bracelet. Enjoy, Yuffie. The party leaves the manor. 59:01 - Nibel Region The party saves outside the gate. Next time, they will start up Mt. Nibel to the Nibel Mako Reactor. Thanks for watching!

Detailed description: 0:00 - Game Load 0:10 - Nibel Region - Chocobo Sage's Manor The party resumes at the Chocobo Sage's Manor. The main scenario "Destination: Nibelheim" is in progress. The party approaches Billy at the pool for a cutscene (0:55). Yes, it's our buddy Billy from Bill's Ranch in the Grasslands. This starts Nibel Region Quest 1: "Esoteric Secrets of the Elders". The party meets the Chocobo Sage. Quite the eccentric character. If the party has not already wrangled Selena at the "Chocobo Intel: Feathered Waverunners" site near the Nibel Airstrip, they would have to do so now and report to the Chocobo Sage. However, my party has already caught Selena. Now, the party needs to collect at least 30 tufts of Chocograss, which hover in the air over water. Selena is needed to gather them. My party has already gathered 15 tufts of Chocograss, so they are halfway there. The party can talk to the Chocobo Sage for more info about Chocograss. The party enters the manor, where they talk to the Assistant at the Tack Shop (8:24). Six-star materials become available at the shop, and new chocobo gear is in stock, the Saurian set. The party spends 4 Golden Plumes apiece on the Mystical Headdress, Mystical Neckwrap, and Mystical Anklets from the Cosmo Canyon Region. The party uses the nearby Chocoboutique (9:22). They equip Selena with the Mystical gear set. Upstairs in the manor, a chest contains an Elixir (10:13). The party also finds an orb of Level Boost Materia (10:21). The party leaves the Chocobo Sage's Manor. 11:25 - Nibel Region Cloud summons Selena, and the party begins seeking tufts of Chocograss. Chocograss hovers in the air over water throughout this region. In their search, they head for the bay, where there is plenty of Chocograss to find. If I had known I was going to have to look for this stuff for this quest, I might have noted its location in my detailed descriptions. Even so, it is not too hard to find. In the southwest of the mainland, the party finds the "Stowaway Cove" cache location (13:10). There are three treasures to find here. A chest east of the center of the search area contains a vial of Celeris (13:23). The party finds Moogle Medals in three of the crates in the area. In the southeast of the search area, a chest contains a Sapphire (13:36). A chest in the south of the search area contains a Remedy (13:46). "Stowaway Cove" complete! The party soon finishes gathering 30 tufts of Chocograss (14:27). They warp back to the Chocobo Sage's Manor. 14:38 - Nibel Region - Chocobo Sage's Manor At the manor, the party talks to the Chocobo Sage by the pool (15:18). An event takes place when they hand over the Chocograss. The Chocobo Sage has one last trial for Cloud, a race. The discovery "Chocograss Collector" begins. The party must collect Chocograss and deliver it to the Chocobo Sage's assistant in the manor. Cloud follows the Chocobo Sage north and east. He talks to the sage by a gate (18:39). Cloud undertakes the final trial, Zoom de Chocobo. 18:46 - Zoom de Chocobo - Practice To start, the player can update Selena's equipment. A gear set with good speed and cornering might be useful here. Afterwards, Cloud proceeds to the race (18:58). Aside from Cloud and Selena, the only other participants are the Chocobo Sage and his bird. Of course, unlike running around the world, the player has to hold X, not R2, to make the chocobo run. I see the Sage has his bird in the Gi gear set. Perhaps that might be a little more suitable for Selena. After a few laps, Cloud pauses and chooses to retry (21:18). Cloud chooses to retry again. 23:53 - Zoom de Chocobo - Success This time, Cloud runs successfully against the Chocobo Sage. The Chocobubble ability can be used to briefly stun an opponent, which is helpful against the Sage and his speedy steed. Cloud and Selena come in first (26:28). The reward for victory is a Chocobo Armband. The Chocobo Armband has two Materia slots, but all Materia set in this armor will earn triple the amount of AP earned in battle. 26:43 - Nibel Region - Chocobo Sage's Manor A cutscene with the Chocobo Sage takes place after Cloud and Selena win the race. Cloud asks all the questions about Will and Sam. "Esoteric Secrets of the Elders" complete! Cloud's relationship with Yuffie changes. The party earns 10 party EXP and 1,900 EXP. Yuffie and Cait Sith reach Level 43 and earn 5 SP each. In the Manor, the party talks to the Assistant at the Tack Shop (31:51). He has a list of the prizes for the Chocograss quotas. The final prize is at 50 tufts of Chocograss overall, so the party has some collecting to do. The party leaves the Chocobo Sage's Manor. 32:21 - Nibel Region The party mounts their ocean chocobos and scours the region in search of Chocograss. Some tufts are a bit out of the way, such as one near the Nibel Port in the east. On a ledge south of the Nibel Port, the party finds the "Hraesvelgr Perch" cache location (33:32). There are two treasure chests on this ledge. Just south of the center of the search area, a chest contains an Emerald (33:45). East of the center of the search area, a chest contains 5 handfuls of Gold Dust (33:57). "Hraesvelgr Perch" complete! The party finds Moogle Medals in three of the crates here. The party finds a tuft of Chocograss over the water on the northern side of the Gjallar Bridge in the region's north. Several tufts of Chocograss can be found over the western bay. However, they do not respawn after they have been collected. There are also a few tufts of Chocograss hidden in the watery grottos. The party finds a couple left over in the northern grottos of the northwestern island, which lead to Odin Sanctuary γ. In the western grotto of the bay's southern island, the part finds the "Nidhogg Grotto" cache location (44:53). There are three chests and a tuft of Chocograss to find here. A chest in this area contains a Valkyrian Bangle (45:03). Another chest to its south contains 3,300 gil (45:13). To the northeast of the second chest, the last chest contains a Ruby (45:41). "Nidhogg Grotto" complete! The party also finds Moogle Medals in a few of this cache's crates. Cloud equips the Valkyrian Bangle. To the east of this grotto, the party finds another overlooked tuft of Chocograss on the way to the Delta Island Lifespring. In the southwest of the mainland, the party finds another overlooked tuft of Chocograss in the grotto leading to Odin Sanctuary β. Cloud's Fire and Ice Materia reaches the max level. Yay! Finally, the party finds an overlooked tuft of Chocograss in the grotto leading to Odin Sanctuary α southeast of the Nibel Airstrip. They have now found all 50! The party returns to the Chocobo Sage's Manor. 57:02 - Nibel Region - Chocobo Sage's Manor In the Manor, the party talks to the Assistant at the Tack Shop (57:18). They automatically hand over their Chocograss. "35 Tufts" complete. The party earns a Golden Plume. "40 Tufts" complete. The party earns an Otherworldly Crystal. "45 Tufts" complete. The party earns a Gjallarhorn for Cait Sith. "50 Tufts" complete. The party earns a pair of Cleansing Materia Earrings. "Chocograss Collector" complete! Cait Sith equips the Gjallarhorn, which provides the Lady Luck ability. Lady Luck temporarily increases allies' critical hit rate. Cait Sith equips the Opening ATB Bonus, ATB Limit, and Moogle Decoy weapon skills. The Otherworldly Crystal accessory reduces the duration of detrimental status effects inflicted on the wearer. The Cleansing Materia Earrings accessory enables the wearer to use Poisona, Esuna, and Resist. The party saves. Next time, they will head on into the ruins of Nibelheim. I wonder what they will find... Thanks for watching!

Detailed description: 0:00 - Game Load 0:10 - Nibel Region The party resumes at a chocobo stop along the southwestern coast of the region's mainland, near the Expedition Intel 3 site. The main scenario "Destination: Nibelheim" is in progress. Using Chocojet on their chocobos, they go northwest across the bay. They land on a high ledge on the western side of the eastern island just south of the Nibel Airstrip. After some rock climbing, they find the World Intel "Activation Intel 4: Whitecap Reef Tower" (1:29). They encounter a couple of Disgorgons at the tower's base. The Disgorgons are weak to ice-elemental damage. When they use the Poisonous Haze ability, the party can target and destroy their jaws to interrupt the attack and pressure them. On the second platform up the tower, the party activates the structure (3:41). "Activation Intel 4: Whitecap Reef Tower" complete! The party earns 10 Nibel Region data points and 5 party EXP. The following points of interest are added to the map: "Expedition Intel 4", "Divine Intel 3", and "Fiend Intel 4". These sites are all on the islands in the western bay. The party finds Moogle Medals in three crates on the tower's top level. The top level also affords a nice view. The party uses their chocobos' Chocojet ability to go north. On a promontory south of the airstrip, they dig up a chocobo treasure, an Ether Onion (6:02). On the beach to the east, the party repairs a chocobo stop southwest of the Chocobo Intel site (6:49). They earn a Golden Plume. The party Chocojets over the bay to the west. On the southern beach of the small north-central island, they repair another chocobo stop (9:31). They earn another Golden Plume. There is a suspicious open plateau at the top of this island, but the party finds nothing there. So, they check out the larger northwestern island. There is an area in the south with a couple of abandoned buildings. On a beach in the middle, the party encounters a couple of Nibel Wolves and a Valron. The Valron is weak to ice. After using Graviton Charge, it can use Graviga. On the island's northeastern ledges, the party finds the "Cliffs of Abjuration" cache location (15:12). There are three treasure chests to find here. On a low ledge in the northeast of the search area, a chest contains a chunk of Mythril Ore (15:22). The party finds Moogle Medals in a couple of the crates on this ledge, too. On the higher ledge to the south, a chest just north of the center of the search area contains a chunk of Cosmotite Ore (16:20). Just north of this chest, a chest north of the center of the search area contains a Giga-Potion (16:35). "Cliffs of Abjuration" complete! On this island's northern beach, the party finds a Guidestone in the west (17:03). When they hit it, Chadley tells them more about Odin. Using Chocojet in the nearby water, they propel themselves over a mountainous wall to an interior lagoon. They navigate a cave inside the mountain and encounter a couple of Valrons. The party continues working their way through the mountain caves. On a Chocojet-accessible ledge in the southeast, they dig up a chocobo treasure, 5 Moogle Medals (19:38). They also find a Guidestone that guides them northwest. However, they must go through a low opening to the west before they can continue up and emerge outside. They encounter a Disgorgon outside. Continuing up the path to the northeast, the party finds the World Intel "Divine Intel 3: Odin Sanctuary γ" (22:11). There is a cube in midair. Is that a bug or deliberate? The party analyzes the Odin crystal in this sanctuary (22:23). "Divine Intel 3: Odin Sanctuary γ" complete! The party earns 10 Nibel Region data points and 5 party EXP. Chadley contacts them afterwards. He can now upgrade the Odin Materia to the highest level, but of course, the party must challenge Odin in the Combat Simulator to obtain it. The party leaves this island and heads for the long southern island, Delta Island. They land and save on the western beach. On the southwestern side of the island, the party finds a grotto entrance (26:35). After going in, they can Chocojet up to the western plateau. There, they find the World Intel "Fiend Intel 4: Stone-Cold Spitter" (26:46). The fiend du jour is the Suevite Disgorgon, a Disgorgon variant. There are three combat objectives: (1) Pressure an enemy, (2) Stagger an enemy, and (3) Defeat all enemies within the time limit of 2:30.00. The Suevite Disgorgon is weak to ice-elemental damage. When it uses its Petrifying Mist ability, which inflicts Petrify, its Jaw is targetable. Crippling its Jaw during the attack will pressure it and interrupt the attack. Build up some ATB charges to use for when the Jaw becomes targetable. When the Suevite Disgorgon has been pressured, staggering it will be no problem. Then, unloading with powerful attacks will take it down quickly. The party defeats the Suevite Disgorgon and satisfies all three objectives (31:43). "Fiend Intel 4: Stone-Cold Spitter" complete! The party earns 10 Nibel Region data points and 10 party EXP. MAI and Chadley contact the party afterwards. The combat trial "Nibel Battle Intel: Chthonian Rondo" becomes available in the Combat Simulator. Thanks, Chad. Heading east from the Fiend Intel 4 site, the party encounters a couple of Valrons and a Disgorgon on the beach. In the east of the beach, the party repairs a chocobo stop (35:20). They earn another Golden Plume. Kweh-tastic. The party uses a Cushion to rest here. Under the archway just northeast of this chocobo stop, the party digs up a chocobo treasure, a chunk of Cosmotite Ore (37:36). Getting this treasure seems a little buggy. From the water to the northeast, the party Chocojets onto the north of the central plateau. They meet another springseeker owl here. Following it down the western slope, they find the World Intel "Expedition Intel 4: Delta Island Lifespring" (38:07). When they reach the Lifespring, they analyze it (38:41). "Expedition Intel 4: Delta Island Lifespring" complete! The party ears 10 Nibel Region data points and 5 party EXP. Chadley contacts the party afterwards. He adds the "Classified Intel: Avian Tyrant" location to the map. It is in the south of the northwestern island. Well, at least I know how to get there! The party makes their way back to the northwestern island. They find the World Intel "Classified Intel: Avian Tyrant" (40:52). The party engages the enemy (41:18). The opponent is the King Zu. This flighty fiend is weak to lightning-elemental damage. When the party assesses the King Zu, they have assessed 16 Nibel Region enemy types. The King Zu uses plenty of wind-elemental attacks like Tornado and Pinion Gale. There are also Firestorm and Tyrant's Twisters. Its Zephyr Prison briefly traps nearby party members in a circle of flame. The King Zu eventually uses the Swan Song ability. Its Left Wing and Right Wing become targetable during this. Destroying both wings will pressure the King Zu making it easy to stagger. Apparently, though, a single attack at the right moment when it finishes Swan Song will instantly finish it off. At the end of the battle, Cloud, Barret, Tifa, and Aerith reach Level 43 and earn 5 SP each. The party eventually defeats the King Zu (46:40). The enemy drops a King Zu Feather. "Classified Intel: Avian Tyrant" complete! The party earns 10 Nibel Region data points and 5 party EXP. The combat trial "Biological Intel: Stony Stare" becomes available in the Combat Simulator. Time to find where Chadley is hiding. The party warps to the Gull Bridge Tower in the southeast of the region (47:45). They follow the road southwest past a building and through an underpass. The road turns southwards. At the southern edge of the area, the party finds the Chocobo Sage's Manor. 48:37 - Nibel Region - Chocobo Sage's Manor There is a quest available at the manor. At present, the party cannot go through the southern door. With the Item Transmuter, the party transmutes an Expeditionary Medal under Accessories with their shiny new King Zu Feather. After saving, the party talks to Chadley near the southern door (50:12). They boot up the Combat Simulator. 50:38 - Combat Simulator - Biology Under Biology, the party undertakes the combat trial "Biological Intel: Stony Stare" (50:58). It has the following requirements: (1) Defeat the classified foe in the Cosmo Canyon Region, the Jabberwock; (2) Assess 16 enemies in the Nibel Region; and (3) Level 5 Enemy Skill Materia. The party chooses a lineup of Cloud, Barret, and Yuffie. This trial pits the party against the Jabberwock once more. The condition is to defeat the enemy within the time limit of 2:30.00. The Jabberwock is weak to fire-elemental damage. When it uses Gorgon Shield, exploiting its weakness to fire or dealing enough damage will pressure the Jabberwock and remove its shield. Once the beast is staggered, immolate it with Fira and Firaga. The party defeats the Jabberwock and satisfies the combat condition (55:10). For completing "Biological Intel: Stony Stare", they learn the Enemy Skill Gorgon Shield. From the check mark, I gather the party has completed all the Biological Intel trials in the game. Among them all, I would say Head Case is the hardest, if only due to its absurd condition to defeat the Mindflayer first. The party closes the Combat Simulator. 55:48 - Nibel Region - Chocobo Sage's Manor The party spends 40 Nibel Region data points apiece to develop an orb of Comet Materia, an orb of MP Absorption Materia, an orb of Darkside Materia, and an orb of ATB Assist Materia. The party saves. Next time, they will work on the quest available at the Chocobo Sage's Manor. Thanks for watching!

Detailed description: 0:00 - Game Load The backdrop for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on the game selection screen has changed with the start of Chapter 11. 0:21 - Nibel Region The party resumes where they left off at the "Fiend Intel 1: Roaring Flames" site in the Nibel Region. The main scenario "Destination: Nibelheim" is in progress. The party rides east. As they return to the main road, some dialogue with Cloud, Tifa, and Barret takes place (1:32). Near the intersection, they encounter Kyuvilduns and Poison Caps. Poison Caps spew toxic stuff, but they are weak to fire. The party meets a springseeker owl, but they will seek its spring later. On the rocky hill below the road southeast of the Fiend Intel 1 site, the party digs up a chocobo treasure, 5 pieces of Ash Wood (3:01). The party can find tufts of Chocograss floating in the air above the region's waterways. On the southern side of the bay, the party finds the World Intel "Activation Intel 2: Gull Bridge Tower" (3:27). North of Gull Bridge Tower, the party digs up a chocobo treasure, 10 chunks of Chromite Ore (3:48). There is more dialogue with Tifa (3:59). At the base of Gull Bridge Tower, the party encounters a Nibel Wolf and two Kyuvilduns. One of the party's orbs of Healing Materia levels up. There is no ladder leading up from the tower's base. However, they can reach the tower's top platform by using Chocojet over the nearby river. The party activates the tower (5:38). "Activation Intel 2: Gull Bridge Tower" complete! The party earns 10 Nibel Region data points and 5 party EXP. The following points of interest are added to the map in the east of the region: "Moogle Intel", "Expedition Intel 2", and "Fiend Intel 2". On the tower's lower-level platform, the party finds Moogle Medals in three crates. From the tower's base, the party rides northwest and Chocojets across the bay. The springseeker owl leads them to a small cave accessible by Chocojet. The party finds the World Intel "Expedition Intel 2: Gunnthra Terrace Lifespring" (7:18). The party analyzes the Lifespring (7:32). "Expedition Intel 2: Gunnthra Terrace Lifespring" complete! the party earns 10 Nibel Region data points and 5 party EXP. Chadley contacts the party. He adds the point of interest "Excavation Intel: Island Base" to the map. It is on an island in the southwest of the region. The party makes their way back north. Near the road to the Fiend Intel 1 site, they meet a chocobo chick (9:58). It leads them west and then northeast. Not far northeast of the Fiend Intel 1 site, the party digs up a chocobo treasure, a Sapphire (10:31). After following the chick a little farther northeast, the party repairs a chocobo stop (11:03). They earn another Golden Plume. After repairing the stop, the party uses a Cushion to rest here and then saves. The party continues east. After the path turns south, they use their chocobos to descend to the stream. They follow the stream north into a grotto to a landing. The party finds the World Intel "Fiend Intel 2: Gluttonous Devourer" (12:48). The marks for this hunt are four Carnifexes, which are Kyuvildun variants. There are three combat objectives: (1) Pressure an enemy, (2) Stagger an enemy, and (3) Defeat all enemies within the time limit of 1:30.00. The Carnifexes are weak to ice-elemental damage. Exploiting this weakness will pressure them, making them easy to stagger. Yuffie's Gravity Materia levels up. The party defeats all the Carnifexes and satisfies all three objectives (14:58). "Fiend Intel 2: Gluttonous Devourer" complete! The party earns 10 Nibel Region data points and 10 party EXP. MAI and Chadley contact the party afterwards. The combat trial "Nibel Battle Intel: Death's Harbingers" is added to the Combat Simulator. As the party follows the river south, they find the Gjallar Bridge (16:14). They continue southeast. Northeast of the Gull Bridge Tower, they meet a helpful chocobo chick that guides them east. North of the road, they dig up a chocobo treasure, an Ether Onion (16:58). By the port east of the Gull Bridge Tower, the party repairs a chocobo stop (17:24). They earn a Golden Plume, and the chocobo chick earns some pets. The party finds the Nibel Port just west of the chocobo stop. 18:13 - Nibel Region - Nibel Port Sadly, there seems not to be much to find at the Nibel Port, aside from some crates and farmable materials. 19:43 - Nibel Region The party Chocojets southwest from the port a short way. Then, they go south. The party finds the World Intel "Moogle Intel: Highland Moogle" (20:11). Hoo boy, here we go. Yes, Yuffie, it's a Moogle Emporium. What say you deal with the wayward Moogle brats within? After saving, Cloud enters the Mogstool (20:48). 21:04 - Highland Mogstool As Cloud enters the Mogstool, the Moogle Merchant asks him to bring back all the Mooglets, as usual. Cloud starts the Mischief Level 7 minigame (21:08). There are five Mooglets to herd to the Mogstool: Molala, Mosh, Molulu, Moog, and Mokey. There is a time limit of 3:00.00. During this minigame, there are bouncy mushrooms that aid Cloud in his transit of this area. The step-on whirlwind panels are back, and they can be quite helpful. However, the Mooglets' attacks are worse than ever, especially the the bombs and meteors. Cloud successfully rounds up all the Mooglets (23:27). Mischief Level 7 complete! An amusing cutscene takes place after the roundup. Cloud earns a kupo-tastic prize. It's cute, but at least it doesn't last too long. The party earns a Stuffed Moogle key item. 26:05 - Nibel Region Since Cloud has completed Mischief Level 7, the Moogle Emporiums reach Merchant Rank 7, the highest rank. "Moogle Intel: Highland Moogle" complete! The party earns 10 Nibel Region data points and 5 party EXP. The player earns the trophy "Moogle Lover". The party talks to the Moogle Merchant (26:53). They spend 6 Moogle Medals apiece on a Moogle's Amulet, which increases enemy drop rate in battle; "Sharpshooter's Companion Vol. IV", which gives Barret 10 SP; and "Secrets of the Ninja Vol. V", which gives Yuffie 10 SP. So, the party has bought out all the important items at the Moogle Emporium. However, there are still items that can be bought with Moogle Medals: Ethers, Elixirs, Rubies, Emeralds, and Sapphires. The party saves before they leave the Mogstool. South of the Gull Bridge Tower, they dig up a chocobo treasure, a chunk of Mythril Ore (29:17). The party follows the road southwest of the Gull Bridge Tower. Past an underpass, they go south and dig up another chocobo treasure, 5 Exquisite Beast Spines, by some wagons (30:10). In the west of the bay's southern shore, the party finds stairways and ramps leading up. On the plateau above, they find the World Intel "Activation Intel 3: Beacon Hill Tower" (32:18). At the tower's base, they encounter Nibel Wolves and a Zu. The Zu is weak to wind-elemental damage. Somehow, the party also wanders into range of some Poison Caps. One of the party's orbs of Wind Materia levels up. The party activates the tower (35:39). "Activation Intel 3: Beacon Hill Tower" complete! The party earns 10 Nibel Region data points and 5 party EXP. The following points of interest are added to the map: "Expedition Intel 3", "Divine Intel 2", and "Fiend Intel 3". On the tower's top level, the party finds Moogle Medals in three of the crates. The party leaves the tower and saves. Southwest of Beacon Hill Tower, the party finds the World Intel "Fiend Intel 3: Mako-Cursed Abomination" (37:46). Well, MAI, the rumors about how Valrons came about are highly credible, based on what I've seen. The marks for this hunt are two Marquis Valrons. They are variants of Valrons, which the party has yet to encounter. There are three combat objectives: (1) Pressure an enemy, (2) Stagger an enemy, and (3) Defeat all enemies within the time limit of 1:45.00. The Marquis Valrons are weak to ice-elemental damage. Exploiting this weakness will pressure them, making them easier to stagger. However, their Graviga spells deal high damage proportional to each party member's max HP. The party defeats the Marquis Valrons and satisfies all three combat objectives (40:42). "Fiend Intel 3: Mako-Cursed Abomination" complete! The party earns 10 Nibel Region data points and 10 party EXP. There is a road leading west from the Fiend Intel 3 site, but it ends at a gate that the party cannot unlock, at least from this side. Down the hill southwest from the Beacon Hill Tower, the party digs up another chocobo treasure, a PLAY ARTS Shinra Box (42:30). Another collectible for Johnny's swanky hotel. The party heads down to the coast northwest of the tower. Along the coast to the southwest, they repair a chocobo stop southwest of Expedition Intel 3 and northwest of Divine Intel 2 (43:56). They earn a Golden Plume. They use a Cushion to rest here. North of this chocobo stop, the party Chocojets from the water to reach a high ledge. Dropping into the hole, they find the World Intel "Expedition Intel 3: Coastal Lifespring" (45:13). The party analyzes this Lifespring (45:28). "Expedition Intel 3: Coastal Lifespring" complete! The party earns 10 Nibel Region data points and 5 party EXP. The party also obtains the Region Intel entry "Nibelheim: A Recent History". The info it contains may be a bit of a spoiler if you haven't already played the original Final Fantasy VII. The description is continued in a reply.

Description continuation: The party leaves the Coastal Lifespring's grotto. They find a Guidestone farther south along the coast (47:14). When they hit it, Chadley provides more information about the mighty Odin. A little to the south, the party Chocojets to a high ledge. They drop into a hole beyond and chocojet to another ledge, where they drop into a grotto. After finding another Guidestone, they Chocojet up the water to a landing where a Kyuvildun and a Poison Cap lurk. The party continues north up the slope. After finding another Guidestone, they turn south. There are a couple more Kyuvilduns and a couple more Poison Caps. The party follows the road around and finds the World Intel "Divine Intel 2: Odin Sanctuary β" (49:28). They analyze the Odin crystal (49:34). "Divine Intel 2: Odin Sanctuary β" complete! The party earns 10 Nibel Region data points and 5 party EXP. Chadley talks to the party briefly after the analysis. From Odin Sanctuary β, the party Chocojets southwest to the region's southwestern island. They find the World Intel "Excavation Intel: Island Base" (51:36). There are three artifacts to unearth here. The party finds fiends lurking in the eastern building near sea level. Within the eastern building in the northeast of the search area, they dig up the Transmuter Chip: Expeditionary Medal (52:34). They can now transmute a manifestation of the Planet's Spirit and an Expeditionary Medal. The party takes out the Item Transmuter. Under Items, they transmute a manifestation of the Planet's Spirit. Under Accessories, they will need a King Zu Feather to craft an Expeditionary Medal, which increases Limit level by 1 at the start of battle. I wonder if the King Zu is the region's classified foe. In a building on a high cliff in the west of the search area, the party digs up the Transmuter Chip: Armor Upgrades 12 (53:41). They can now transmute an Enhanced Garm Bangle and an Enhanced Varvados Bracelet. These could be enhancements of the armor available in this region's shops. By a tree on a hill in the southeast of the search area, the party digs up the Transmuter Chip: Armor Upgrades 11 (54:26). They can now transmute an Enhanced Resplendent Bracer and an Enhanced Yggdrasill Armlet. "Excavation Intel: Island Base" complete! The party earns 10 Nibel Region data points and 5 party EXP. The party pulls out the Item Transmuter again. Under Armor, they transmute a Resplendent Bracer and an Yggdrasill Armlet. Under Armor Upgrades, they upgrade these to an Enhanced Resplendent Bracer and an Enhanced Yggdrasill Armlet. Under Accessory Upgrades, they upgrade a Survival Vest to a Riot Vest. Under Items, they transmute a Giga Potion. The party reaches Craftsmanship Level 15. They can now transmute an X-Potion, at least when they have the materials. Continuing, the party transmutes a Mist Giga-Potion and a vial of Celeris. Cait Sith checks out the party's recently acquired accessories. He equips the Moogle's Amulet. What else? The party warps to the chocobo stop in the west of the southern shore (57:37). There, they save. Next time, they will continue exploring the Nibel Region before their inevitable visit to Nibelheim. Thanks for watching!

I honestly don’t know how Vaan could have clothes that awesome, while being poor as he is. Like, maybe it’s an heirloom set? Or maybe Migello or someone gave it to him? I don’t know. Just seems a bit… out of place, on him, is all.
