I know this is absurd but can it be lowered a bit? I have the 2022 stock SLWB and it is tall as it is and I would only imagine this! So do you know of any drop kits or even systems which will allow for raising or dropping height on command? Thank you!

Dangerous Toyota coaster 4x4 conversions! Just over 12 months ago my motorhome Coaster was fitted with a brand new Enduroco 4x4 kit. When I purchased the kit I was ecstatic to say the least but unfortunately that was just the start. After the conversion was complete I was driving down a road at 80km/h when I hit a small pothole on the passenger side wheel. This triggered a huge absolutely terrifying steering wobble. The vehicle was basically uncontrollable until I managed to slow to about 10-15km/h. I rang Enduroco straight away and spoke to the current salesman. He stated “hmm never heard of it, not sure mate” disheartening to say the least after spending so much money. NOTE: after research this complication is common in solid axle vehicles and can be googled very easily under the title “Death Wobble”. There is many, many articles and videos with explanations and cause’s/bandaids explained. After that I slowly drove to Bunnings, purchased some tools and checked over everything in the front suspension/ steering components thinking it may have just wiggled something loose. As I posses the full installation instructions from Enduroco I found the Panard/Track Bar bolt very slightly under torqued. This gave me relief so I continued my drive thinking I’d found the cause. On the same road in a different position the Vehicle trigged Death Wobble again. This is where I became very concerned. Again, contacted Enduroco and they stated it was “very strange and had no idea” I then said “so what now?” He replied with “dunno mate would have to talk to the engineers” then never returned my call. Very long story short, I started my own research because I felt deceived. I tracked down and talked to multiple other customers with the same conversion from Enduroco via Facebook groups etc, 4 to be exact. One had a vehicle that was converted in 2012, the others all in the last 12-18months and as soon as 3 months ago at the Enduroco workshop in Victoria. They had all experienced the same Death Wobble. They explained to me their vehicle does it around the 70-100km/h mark, triggered mainly by potholes but sometimes whoops and bumps in the road. This obviously was extremely alarming. Some of these people explaining coming off the road at 100km/h, some had almost been cleaned up by trucks, but all been terrified by the uncomfortable, uncontrollable wobble. They had all contacted Enduroco but had similar excuses. “Not enough weight in the vehicle/weight in the wrong spot/it’ll wear in” were some explanations. Learning this I became very shocked and concerned. It started seeming like a much bigger and longer on-going problem. Enduroco then recommend a wheel alignment with the undesirable specifications of 7 degrees positive castor and 5mm toe out to fix the problem. I went to a wheel alignment place and stated I wanted these specs, they said “not a chance am I putting that much toe out in a vehicle”. Then I contacted multiple other car/ truck alignment shops and they also recommended against it. I was told rapid tyre wear and tracking would be severe. I found a company who at least tried the wheel alignment for me. Unfortunately the vehicle drove far worse generally, but still Death Wobbled under the same scenario. This is when I contacted Enduroco again to absolutely no prevail. Enduroco tried with a couple customers a newly designed steering dampener. It is not difficult to search “death wobble” with the conclusion that this is not a fix, but a Band-Aid. I have now rectified my vehicle after spending thousands and three months with suspension experts and mechanical engineers. I would be very hesitant to buy a kit from Enduroco after learning all these facts and being dealt with such arrogance and ignorance. After maintaining contact with the other customers I’m still shocked by the whole situation and how little is still done considering the extreme danger these vehicles put you in consistently. Don’t only take my word for it, I suggest asking in the Toyota Coaster Facebook pages to hear more experiences.

Not their coil spring conversion riddled with death wobbles I have now rectified my vehicle after spending thousands and three months with suspension experts and mechanical engineers. How much clearance does this actually give you? Isn’t the diff still sitting in the same position? Another big question I have is what is the body roll like? And handling on the black top? At $5000 for parts only it does seem expensive, not doubting the quality of the components, just can’t see the real value of going with this over a much much cheaper suspension gvm upgrade and bigger tyres, after all it’s still a 2 wheel drive van and will spend the majority of time on the blacktop and now with inferior handling... It does look bloody cool though

Good luck with that, driving on wet sand & in the water like this will put salt water in places you have absolutely no chance of cleaning. Being a Toyota it will take a few years but that van will rust like a b@stard by the time it’s 5-10 years old and will of no doubt been sold to some poor unsuspecting persons. I don’t understand what demo’ing the thing being driven through the ocean actually proved 🤦‍♂️, why not demo it doing what it would be best doing.
